We had the pleasure of a 3 night stay with Richard and James. Both made our stay enjoyable and memorable. Richard's knowledge of the local area enhanced our experience of Nelson and made us feel very welcome. We occupied the top floor which was outstanding, especially the view. The main notable feature of Te Puna Wai Lodge is its warm...

A charming little b&b located in a nice residential area in Nelson. We spent 3 nights here and loved it. Our room on the top floor was huge and had the most spectacular view. Our hosts James and Richard were nice and helpful.

Te Puna Wai Lodge is nothing short of fabulous. The hosts, Richard and James went above and beyond the call of duty in making our stay there wonderful. Our room on the top floor is my favorite room in any of the many places we have stayed in our travels. The view of the bay is breath-taking. Breakfasts are wonderful,...

A beautiful house, with a stunning view over Thahunanui Beach and next to good restaurants and the beach. The breakfast is extraodinary, from the danish bakery. We stayed in the room on top and everything was perfect. Starting with the beautiful shower and the glass front that one can fully open to the more then comfortable beds. But on top...

We stayed here for three nights in November. We had the Haulashore rooms. I don't need to repeat descriptions that are already posted here. We loved Nelson and its museums, we loved the house but most of all we loved Richard and James whose generosity and warmth stand out among the many generous and warm people we met in NZ.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Richard and James made us feel welcomed. They even took us to our restaurant the first night. Easy to walk to restaurants and close to the city center.Since we were traveling with another couple who had had knee surgery, we opted for the 3rd floor room. Fabulous views, wonderful linens and nice touches. Rooms...
