Travellers' Choice
Perched right next to Hobart`s CBD and boasting far reaching views over the harbour and Domain, this unique boutique hotel is ideally placed for visits to MONA, Salamanca Place and the museums, as well as for shops and restaurants in the bustling city centre. Each of our spacious, light-filled bedrooms is named after one of Alfred Crisp` 10 children. Each of them is different, furnished with original antiques and mellow textiles. From most, you can see for miles over our spectacular garden and Hobart`s famous harbour. Your breakfast on the verandah is one you won`t forget, either, with fresh home baked bread, eggs from our own farm, crisp organic bacon and jams made specially for us from the choicest Tasmanian fruits. Guests staying in Corinda`s Cottages or Corinda Contemporary are welcome to join us in the big house for breakfast and for other meals.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Corinda - wow! It was a complete delight to stay in this traditional home turned boutique accommodations. The interior was a divine blend of mostly 19th Century features with the rooms providing contemporary twists. The complementary wine awarded for online booking was absolutely delicious too. The hosts were friendly and completely helpful. Oh and the formal garden was just my version of the Garden of Eden. Loved the whimsical Australian creatures sculptured into the box hedges too. Just beautiful. Loved the water and garden views from the Garden Room. Can't wait to try the other rooms on other visits.

Hubby and I stayed here recently when I stumbled upon Corinda whilst trying to book a hotel close to the Salamanca Markets. I discovered that parking was going to be tricky down by the waterfront so chose Corinda because the parking was easy and it was a short drive to the Saturday Markets and it looked absolutely stunning. The communication before was excellent and we felt like Julian and his staff really cared that our stay was perfect and he was visible/around many times during our stay. We loved the character of the Servants Quarters which was a separate "cottage" at the side of the main building. We left our heavy luggage downstairs as there was room as the stairs were a bit tricky for older people like us. The parking really only allowed for 3 cars for the 8 "rooms" so that would be our only warning. First in first served! Would happily stay again and would chose the Garden Cottage next time as it had its own parking space at the rear of the property. Absolutely recommended if you want loads of charm and want to be made to feel like you really are welcome. Well worth the money. If you want to have staff onsite 24/7 then Corinda wont work for you as there is a code system for checking in etc, but if you like your independence its a winner.

Amazing place, great location and sensational host. We stayed 2 nights in Pavillion 2. Check in was very, very easy and parking was a breeze. The decor inside the pavilion was quirky and really beautiful. Loved the individual pieces and the unique styling. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel with magnificent gardens. The building has been lovingly restored and the landscaped gardens are a revelation and not to be missed. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is welcoming and attentive. Parking was easy, and the location is close to the Hobart waterfront and has fabulous views.

Corinda is a fantastic historic building with great gardens. If you like historic accomodation then this is the place for you. Agree with other reviews that you may need to carry your bags across the cobbled courtyard or upstairs. The service from the team was great and they were extremely helpful. As others have said, the breakfast is amazing so make sure you get it included. Note that there are six rooms and each one is different (sizes and fitout/colour). We booked the Basil Crisp room and it was like the photos but really turned out to be too small for two people and the ensuite/toilet were pretty tight and made the room feel small. Location wise it is out of town a bit up a hill. We had a car and it was easy to drive into where restaurants are etc, but others did walk down (1km) and either walked back or got a taxi. It is very near a large park area that included very lovely Botanic Gardens that are worth checking out.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Hobart. The house is beautiful and the gardens are amazing. The staff were extremely welcoming upon arrival and it was like actuality returning to your own home. Perfect location to Hobart cbd and to botanical gardens.

Perfect location for Hobart Domain tennis court and also Hobart seafront . Amazing hospitality from the staffs there . Vivian the manageress always help guests on everything needed . 10 minutes walk to CBd Woolworths and cafe restaurant like Mures . Floating boat restaurant Mako can be reached as well . The backyard garden is so beautiful that you do not want to leave every morning. The honest bar and common area I could spend my time on my daily business work during the night time .

This place was a slice of heaven in Hobart. The whole place was so beautiful and peaceful and we will definitely go back. You get so much for what you pay for! The staff was incredibly welcoming and we really felt at home. The late night honour-system bar was also a lovely addition and we loved winding down at the end of a long day with a cocktail in the loungeroom.

We recently stayed in the Mary Spode room, overlooking Hobart with city and sea views. The house is absolutely unique and the gardens are magical. Easy check in, wonderfully appointed room with claw foot tub and such a comfortable bed. Fabulous communal sitting room with fireplace and well equipped honesty bar. Highly recommended for a taste of Tasmanian history.
