Perched right next to Hobart`s CBD and boasting far reaching views over the harbour and Domain, this unique boutique hotel is ideally placed for visits to MONA, Salamanca Place and the museums, as well as for shops and restaurants in the bustling city centre. Each of our spacious, light-filled bedrooms is named after one of Alfred Crisp` 10 children. Each of them is different, furnished with original antiques and mellow textiles. From most, you can see for miles over our spectacular garden and Hobart`s famous harbour. Your breakfast on the verandah is one you won`t forget, either, with fresh home baked bread, eggs from our own farm, crisp organic bacon and jams made specially for us from the choicest Tasmanian fruits. Guests staying in Corinda`s Cottages or Corinda Contemporary are welcome to join us in the big house for breakfast and for other meals.

We stayed for 7 nights in Pavilion B (3 bedrooms) and enjoyed every minute of our time at Corinda. The pavilion was huge and provided everything we needed for our stay including being able to cook meals in the evening. The rooms were beautifully appointed and included very comfortable beds. We were able to wash and dry clothes easily using the internal laundry provided. The outside deck was lovely for afternoon drinks and snacks while looking up to a view of Mt Wellington. The cooked breakfast each morning was just amazing with lovely fresh ingredients and served by very friendly employees. There was off street parking (suitable for small to medium cars) and the convenience of being close to the CBD was fantastic. The neighbourhood is just beautiful with lovely heritage houses all around you and the gardens at Corinda were beautifully presented with amazing views. We enjoyed walks around the surrounding streets in the evening and felt very safe. For some of our group it was our first visit to Hobart and it didn't disappoint. Hobart is such a great launching point to many parts of Southern Tassie with the drive time to many interesting places being between 30min and 1.5hrs. From our initial booking through to the end of our stay at Corinda we could not have been happier. Thank you Chaxi, Julian and all of your team for a lovely stay, we will be back!

For the remaining days of our travels to Hobart and surrounds, we booked the Gardener's Cottage at Corinda Collection. Cleverly renovated with modern conveniences, the cottage is fully self-contained and situated in the NW corner of the property overlooking the gardens; which were no doubt carefully tended by the original occupant. The estate is close to the Hobart CBD and wharf precinct but traffic noise never intruded on our stay, and the cottage is well secluded from other guests. Included in our stay was breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed, Julian and Chaxi are excellent hosts, and must be commended on the impeccable state of the property. Looking for a bespoke manor experience, or wonderful cottage stay for your travels to Hobart? Look no further than Corinda Collection.

Corinda is a beautiful historic house with charm and tasteful decoration in Glebe, on the outskirts of Hobart and with stunning views over the city, waterfront and Mout Wellington. We stayed in the superb Alfred Crisp Suite - a spacious and luxurious room sporting a comfortable king sized bed, ensuite bathroom with claw foot bath, separate walk in shower and an amazing antique toilet and cistern (which is an experience in itself!). The large bay window overlooks the immaculate garden, waterfront, Hobart city and Mount Wellington and draws you in frequently to enjoy the vista. It was the perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion. Our breakfast was tasty and enjoyable, cooked to order and served in the enclosed verandah as you enter the main house - a lovely, sunny room even on a semi-cloudy day. Finding Corinda was like discovering a rare jewel and provided the perfect setting for a luxury getaway.

Nestled between cobble stone courtyard and magnificent garden, the Corinda collection is a remarkable place. The two bedroom cottage we stayed in was enchanting, the best features of a bygone era having been beautifully restored, whilst cleverly disguising all the mod cons of the 21st century within the property's heritage.
The grand dame of a main house is resplendent, striking the perfect balance of grandeur and hospitable warmth. Her garden is spectacular, the highlight of our stay. It called us back at the end of each day, promising discoveries along it's hidden pathways, or a game of hide and seek in the afternoon sunshine, a chilled bottle of something nearby. Thank you for a unique and magical getaway, we can't wait to come back.

European Style House is a beautiful period home in a great location. Cleanliness was excellent. It was perfect for 6 ladies over 60. Easy walking distance to many eateries and to the Hobart CBD shops and Salamanca Place for the market.

It was easy to catch the bus back from the City (once we worked out from what stop) to Stop 8 Elizabeth Street as it was directly opposite the accommodation.

Kitchen was well decked out with utensils, pots, pans, bowls, cutlery, spices, condiments, paper towell, cling wrap, sandwich bags etc etc and electrical devices, although it did take us a while to work out where everything was. Drawer filled with games was great with a good selection.

2 1/2 bathrooms with a toilet on each floor was excellent for us old birds who get up quite regularly during the night.

Having 5 bedrooms meant that 4 of us could have our own rooms and 2 of us shared the single bed room....perfect.

However, there were a few things that you may want to look at......

No TV in lounge room - needed for a group 2 bedrooms with Tvs was good but to enjoy more togetherness watching a film or sports etc.

No full length mirror anywhere - perhaps one could be placed on a wall in the laundry so everyone could use.

The bottom toilet was continuing to run after each flush and a lot of manoeuvrings were required to get it to stop.

A pumped up basketball would of been great for a one on one competition for us old (young at heart) basketballers.

Some information in relation to where you can catch the bus from town back to house might be handy for future quests. We did google it but it took us a while to work it out.

These 5 points are only minor and in no way detracted from our very enjoyable experience staying in your beautiful house.

I booked Corinda Collection for our family trip. My parents love antiques and gardens so from the pictures it ticked all the boxes. When we arrived, they absolutely fell in love. We stayed in the Mary Spode's Room and the Verandah Room and the view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms also had modern touches such as electronic tv, mini bar, and bathroom amenities. The garden was beautifully decorated with small surprises at every corner. The breakfast provided at Corinda was delicious with a perfect combination of hot foods, pastries and local produces. The fact that it was prepared personally made it extra special. Julian and Chaxi were amazing hosts and it was an absolute pleasure to speak to them and learn about the history of the house.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in the Gardeners Cottage, that is located separately from the main house in the lower gardens.

Given that my wife had recently completed her Horticulturalist course, when I found the Corinda Collection with its beautiful gardens, when looking for accommodation for our first visit to Hobart, I knew this was the place!

Self check in was a breeze as all the required information is emailed and messaged prior to your arrival. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owners. The staff we interacted with at breakfast were very friendly and welcoming.

The Gardener's Cottage has its own dedicated parking space off Glebe street.
The Cottage itself is amazing, self contained and has everything you require for a comfortable stay. There is even a spa bath! A machine machine and clothes dryer is also available. The internal stairs may be an issue if you experience mobility issues.

While the cottage is self contained, we stuck with our policy of not cooking on holidays, and chose to have breakfast in the main house and this was absolutely delicious! local bacon, eggs cooked to your preference, fruits and yoghurt and amazing coffee!

An honesty bar is located within the main house with drink options to suit all tastes.

The Corinda Collection is located approximately 10 minutes walk from downtown Hobart and local restaurants, or 20 minutes from Salamanca Markets. The return walk is uphill, but manageable.

If you want a truly unique accomodation experience in Hobart the Corinda Collection is the place to stay. My wife and I will definitely return!

What an amazing place to stay! The rooms are meticulously designed with antique furniture, decorations, paintings etc but with all the comforts of a modern hotel. The breakfast could have kept you going all day, and they even have fantastic coffee. The garden is a delight and if you really need to work, you can sit on the verandah or in the garden with the free wifi and enjoy the view. All the rooms are individually styled with their own character. They are all wonderful and the hotel is in a quiet street so no noise anywhere. You could stay in a different one each visit and enjoy them all.
Since we can't really travel anywhere much at present, you don't actually need to go any further than beautiful Hobart for a holiday and stay in world class accommodation. We'll be back!

I have been wanting to experience the house and garden at Corinda for sometime and was definitely not disappointed. I had no idea that the position of the house allowed for fabulous views over the city and right down the length of the Derwent river. Despite being in close proximity to the CBD the location is surprisingly quiet. My partner and I stayed in the Basil Crisp room which was beautifully decorated in keeping with the rest of the house. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked particularly well considering the age of the property. I make regular trips to Hobart and think I have finally found the perfect place to stay time and again.

My husband and I had a one night stay at Corinda recently - we stayed in the Gardner's cottage. I still can't get over how beautiful the gardens and our cottage was! Our cottage was well decorated, in keeping with the period, and very comfortable with a huge spa bath, fireplace, and comfy bed. There was parking on-site as well as on the street for us, and the CBD was less than 5 minutes drive away. I only wish we could've stayed longer!

Yes, awkward angle to photograph. It's a wide jetted tub with a shower over it hidden behind antique doors at the end of the bathroom. Everyone loves it!
