This is a very convenient hotel if you want to be near the airport as we did. We arrived one evening and had to leave the next morning so its proximity to the airport suited us. You can catch bus 380 from the airport and it stops just opposite the hotel. When you come out of the airport terminal turn left and it’s the first bus stop. The bus is frequent and when we were there in March it cost $3.50. The hotel itself is bright and modern and our room had two queen beds which were extremely comfortable. Shower and toiletries were good. Breakfast seemed expensive for what was provided. Would stay here again we were in the area and needed an overnight room.

My family and I stayed for 12 days. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly, polite and cheerful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices. I had a specific dietary requirement which was addressed whenever I needed it.
I asked ahead for a flat pillow and that was in my room waiting for me. The pool and gym were great. It was close to the airport and other places we were visiting without the hassle of city traffic. The room towels were soft fluffy and large and the pool towels were very large as well as pool slippers provided. The only downside was no laundry facilities but we were shown where one was only a few minutes by car.
My daughters room was a little small for 4 people but still quite acceptable. A microwave would have been handy.
We had a meal in the restaurant and although the prices were above what we are used to paying the food was brilliant well worth the cost.
We would happily stay here again.

Very happy with MIQ quarantine experience at Sudima Auckland Airport. The great staff and security.. food is really excellent and different every day. My dietary requests were consistently followed throughout the stay with any issues. Each meal is restaurant standard. Food never left to go cold outside your room if you are outside. They bring up a fresh hot one later. Room was immaculate on arrival. Never heard a noise from another room.. when you are here for two weeks, soundproofing is important! Fridge in rooms more effective than usual hotel fridges. Room service also very good.. fabulous flat white coffee I bought every day - Frequent outside walk opportunities available compared to most MIQ facilities.. several times per day. Three smoking areas away from outdoor walking areas mean smokers are well provided for here also. It might not have sea views or sky tower views or balconies.. but if a spotless room and premises, restaurant quality meals and friendly staff who will get to know your name and will go out of their way to make a 14 day quarantine as pleasant it can be, then you would be hard pressed to do better than Sudima AKL airport MIQ Hotel.

We found ourselves staying in this hotel for seven nights at the end of March unexpectedly when sudden lockdown in New Zealand meant that our onward flights were all cancelled. On checking in we were told that most of the hotel's facilities (restaurant, bar, pool, gym) were closed. This was a disappointment not only to us guests but also to the hotel staff who made it clear that they take personal pride in providing the best possible stay for their guests. All of the NZ government lockdown regulations were being scrupulously observed and we were issued with a request that guests should if possible avoid engaging with hotel staff. Within two days of our arrival we received a message from the hotel management that three meals a day would henceforth be delivered free of charge to each guest's room. Not only that, but there would always be a menu choice, including vegetarian, every day. These (very generous) meals were duly delivered three times a day by a masked member of the housekeeping team - a service which was greatly appreciated. But even more impressive was the way in which the Sudima staff did all they could to make guests' experience as good as it could possibly be under very difficult circumstances, Whenever we had to engage with a member of staff, by email, phone or face-to-face in front of a perspex screen, our enquiry would be dealt with politely, efficiently and in a friendly manner. I would love to come back to Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel one day when, hopefully, all of the hotel's facilities are again up and running.

We really like the Sudima branch in Christchurch so we’re looking forward to our stay here. Not at all the same! Staff are generally helpful and friendly and the room was clean, but toilet broken. Breakfast very poor indeed.
Access is via the yellow bus from the airport ($6 each way unless transport part of booking). Be aware the bus does a circuit and this hotel is almost last, if not THE last, so the transfer can be 45 minutes plus after catching the bus which is said to run every 20 minutes.
In practice, I would stay at the Ibis budget next time - first stop on bus route from the airport and last stop on the way back, ie quickest transfer, and conveniently located with shops and cafes next door. Looks like a much better choice.

We have to say, that this hotel was just the tonic we needed after such a long journey. From the shuttle service from the airport to the friendly service we experienced, the hotel is a great choice for those jetting off or like us returning home. The bedroom was most comfortable, shower was good with great in room amenities provided. Great to see New Zealand products - well done. We also really like some of your sustainability initiatives. Our only negative point was the breakfast. We were not offered a menu, despite seeing a delicious breakfast menu in your in room directory and we were not offered a choice of coffee (missed opportunity to up-sell). Apart from that the buffet was OK, dare I say could be better especially the hot selection (which wasn't really hot). Overall a good experience and one we would recommend to friends and family.

Our visit was booked by our travel agent. We were told that there was a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We were NOT told we had to get a voucher at the airport, wait 20+ minutes for a bus and then being the 6 or 7th stop ( another 20+ minutes). When we checked in, we asked about a 5 AM departure the next morning? We looked out and there were two hotel vans out front. There was another couple needing the same ride the next morning. We asked about a ride together in one of the vans. We were told they weren’t available, we could ride the multi stopping bus or pay for our own cab, really?
Our room was OK. We cleaned up and went down to have a relaxing dinner in the hotel dining room. There was a large company meeting and cocktail party in the entry area of the hotel. We couldn’t even here ourselves talk. Then to top it off I asked for a hamburger cooked medium and it arrived raw inside. I sent it back. Our meal was marginal.
I would choose another hotel airport.
Our room was OK. We cleaned up and went down to have a relaxing dinner in the hotel dining room. There was a large company meeting and cocktail party in the entry area of the hotel. We couldn’t even here ourselves talk. Then to top it off I asked for a hamburger cooked medium and it arrived raw inside. I sent it back. Our meal was marginal.

The hotel has ample parking on site, really friendly helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. All requirements were met with robes, slippers, herbal tea and complimentary water. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of a really high standard.

Staff here are amazing.
Unfortunately we were locked out of our rooms. We said goodbye to family downstairs and as we went back to our room it would not unlock. We were given another room and food to take care of us while our lock was repaired. The rooms are clean and we would definitely return again.
My only tip would be to catch the 380 bus on the main road outside the hotel as the more expensive shuttle gets very busy and overfull.

A very nice, clean hotel. Rooms comfortable with dressing gowns, iron and ironing board and hairdryer provided. Buffet food is more than adequate. Dinner meal from the menu was excellent. It is only suitable if using it as a stopover for travelling. It is in the middle of an industrial estate so nothing to do close by. Airport bus provides regular transport to the terminal.
We were put up in this hotel by the airline when our flight was cancelled. Unfortunately, we were unimpressed by one particular member of reception staff. Our flight had been rescheduled to depart at 10.55pm but were advised check out was at 1pm. We tried to arrange with the man on reception for a later check out or pay for another night but he was very unhelpful and told us it was not possible as they were fully booked for the next night. He made no attempt to even check. We asked if we could stay longer if the airline approved it but we were told no, as there were no rooms available. After speaking to the airline, we could check out at 7pm and it turned out they were not fully booked. The man on reception could just not be bothered to try and help us out.

The bus is free but we needed a voucher from reception. We waited ages at the airport for the bus to arrive but generally runs every 20 mins. Runs through the night.
I found them very accommodating. As long as you have a reservation there should be no problem.

I am sorry I am not sure, you may have to contact the hotel directly. We had our own transport so did not need the airport shuttle.
