My family of 5 stayed in unit 1. We booked for a one nght stay on a late afternoon return flight. We pre arranged for 2 vehicles to stay on the property for 16 days. This information can be sent to you by email on request.
As we booked one unit, 1 vehicle only was free for 7 days then costs are incurred after. Our 2nd vehicle was charged at 12.00 per day. We also requested for a pickup, due to a one staff on reception who is also the driver, pickup maybe up to a 30 minute wait time. Unfortunately for our unit was close to the reception, so this is a very busy area if you are a light sleeper. Our room was very uncomforbly hot as the air conditioning works in one room and not the other room. Our driver had informed us that the hotel is going through major umprovements, so hopefully this information can help.
Our unit had the very basic essentials, the furninshings like chairs, tables and carpet and the drapes have seen better days. The beds however were excellent and the sofa was firm as a extra bed. The TV had a reception problem and wifi was ok.
The shower was ok until the shower door popped of the rails on both the bottom rails.
The Location is close to a petrol station with noisey people, music etc.
Good Luck on the improvements.

We recently stayed in the deluxe two bedroom family apartment (#31 upstairs & #21 downstairs), before & after our trip to Rarotonga. We were a group of 2 couples. Parking was right outside our room which was fantastic. Indicate a downstairs room if you do not want to carry your bags up the stairs.

Rooms were great & all that we needed, with 2 separate bedrooms & a large enough kitchen/dining area & bathroom. TV, aircon's, & free wifi were all operational at the time of our stay. Room cleanliness I would rate a 3.5 out of 5 (our room was not dirty as many past reviews have indicated - some historical staining & tired areas contributed to a lower score). I will give the owners a few suggested tweaks & feedback directly to them in a separate email.

To have free secure carparking while we were away & free shuttle service to/from the airport was bonus & fantastic!! You will need to load your own bags onto the shuttle trailer ~600mm off the ground, but if you are not prepared to lift your own bags then you should not pack a heavy bag & expect someone else to injure their back lifting it.

We had an amazing Indian dinner delivered to our door the first night from Indian Express at 149 D Kirkbride Rd (menu's are in the rooms), pay over the phone or upon delivery. We also checked out the Post Office Public House only a few minutes from the Airport Lodge at 55 Montgomerie Rd for lunch - which was fabulous!!

We would stay again & recommend as a good value option for a group, considering room configuration, service available & proximity to the airport.

Good location, we had a quiet room and the shuttle service was fine. Bseing airport accommodation we asked for an hour later check out as we arrived at midnight from a 9 hour international flight. Sorry we dont do late check outs and tbe shuttle after 10am is $50! No flexibility . The rooms are fine but cleanliness is poor, tile floor needs a scrub and had hair on it. The carpet was sticky. Our family have been in hotels over 30years. Get the standard of cleanliness up and be a little flexible for international travellers and you will have good located accommodation
for the traveller.

Not given as advertised when we ask the receptionist and the manager to come and have a look at the Room they refused to look. The room was very dirty and not vacuum, stained carpets, dusty with spider webs. The receptionist and the manager were very rude and did not want to negotiate oh give any refund. The receptionist also told us that do not leave any personal item in the room since the girls would clean the room and it's not safe.

When refused to get service done till our stay there for 4 nights due to safety reason the receptionist declined and said the service was a must. When spoken to the manager about the safety concerns the receptionist refused that she mentioned anything and asked for a proof. I wish I have read the reviews earlier or could have recorded the whole conversation. The manager also told us he would not come out to see the room as his the boss and that it was his lodge and told us to leave without a refund if we were not happy. Also asked us to deal with booking.com and refused to further communicate with us. I have recorded little end of our conversation in video but too big to upload.

Our $536 was wasted but we did not care about the money at that point. Our safety and health was more important plus we did not wanted to stay in a negative, dirty, disgusting and rude environment.

Hope people will read reviews first and not waste their money and time. I hope to pass this on to others so they can make wise choice when booking in future.

This guest got caught with an extra person in room and refused to pay for the extra person. So they complained to booking.com and were told there booking was for two people and they would have to pay for the third person. These are the simple facts. if you book for two people and arrive with three you need to pay for the extra person. You can make up stories you can say things on a review but in the end you need to pay for the extra person>

Due to COVID, my travel plans have been cancelled. As soon as I found out about the cancellation, I advised the property in the hope that they would be understanding and amend my dates. I was told 'terms and conditions apply” and “too early to do anything”. I can understand this as it was early on in the year. However, as the pandemic has grown considerably, I have again requested a refund, credit or at the VERY LEAST a change of dates. I have been met with blunt emails advising “terms and conditions apply.. no refund, credit or alteration will be given" and "we suggest you use the accommodation as part of a domestic holiday". As Auckland has only recently come out of level 2 lockdown and the property is located out at the airport, I don’t think they can expect anyone to take a ‘holiday’ at this property.

Personally, I do not believe that I am being unreasonable requesting a date change due to the current economic situation.

The lack of adherence to consumer rights and refusal to be flexible is disappointing as I am not aware of any other Kiwi businesses being so hard-lined to their clients in a time of national difficulty where everyone is trying to reduce the damage of cancelled plans and last-minute changes.

Would NOT recommend!

Unfortunately got caught by level 4 lockdown and couldn’t access Auckland to depart from Auckland Airport. Spoke to Manager hoping for some advice on trying to change the date as fully intended to stay there at another time. The manager refused to make any changes to our booking. We had selected a non refundable booking and we’re told No Refunds, no change and was told “you selected the booking” the attitude was bad and extremely rude. We didnt ask for refund only to change the dates if available. Totally understand that businesses will be finding it hard but this establishment was the only place out of all the people involved with rescheduling our trip to be the most unwilling to make us want to return.
Lots of customers seem to have had a similar experience with this place which is a shame as it was recommended to us by someone who must of had a nice experience. Not worth the hassle if something happens and I’m support if the last review….Avoid!!!

First note of the low level of cleaning standards was fingerprints with some kind of food on the Kettle. I was then having issues with the internet which stopped my work. Requested to check out the following day and cancel my remaining 3 days, which I was advised I would not get refunded for remaining stays.
Spatula still had dried food on it and there were crumbs in the utensil draws. Charis are simply GROSS! Stained and in desperate need of recovering or at least a steam clean.
AC unit made loud constant squealing noise.
Rate charged was not on the cheap side at $188 a night

I cannot complain about anything. I was picked up at the airport within 5 minutes if my call to request the,shuttle bus. A lovely friendly lady bus driver very helpful. I booked into my room no trouble. Very comfortable queen size bed, comfortable lounge as well as dining area. Great flow of water in shower.
Bathroom updated. Kitchen fully equipped with microwave, fridge, stove top, tea and coffee making facilities, plates,and cutlery.
take away shops a short walk away.
Curtains and chairs,a bit old. The manager was very friendly and helpful .No problem getting me to the airport next day.

Due to the current lock down we had to change our travel dates. This place refused to make any changes to our booking. No Refunds, no changesis the attitude. We made a non- refundable booking, but we didnt ask for refund only to change the dates if available.
Lots of customers seem to have had a similar experience with this place.

Waited around for the receptionist for 15-20min to check in as she was doubling as the shuttle driver.
Standard room we stayed in was the most run-down, mould and cobwebs infested room I have ever encountered.
Walls had stain or abrasian marks and generally looked like all their cleaners bothered with was changing of the beds and some light dusting.
A note in the kitchen asked for guests to wash our own dishes... enough said!
Shower door dropped off its tracks completely when I attempted to open it, unsurprising, considering the mould buildup along the tracks.
No electric blankets.
No milk in the fridge.

Left our car in their care for two weeks, and on our return discovered several tears to the leather drivers seat. When we questioned the staff member on-site about this he denied possibility of staff responsibility and suggested tears were merely from general wear.
We contacted the manager via email and explained the damage, to which he replied rudely with barely a three line email stating "We did not damage your car".

This place is not a 4 star establishment (otherwise standards have disparingly slipped), and consumer beware that in my opinion photos and statements on this company's website are misleading concerning the level of service and care provided here.

I had the same problem. I just booked the hotel for that previous night so that I could go somewhere and rest when I arrived at 5:20 AM. Only problem is, coming from the United States, I got confused about the date and so I couldn't go there after all. I ended up going across the street from the airport to the Novahotel and paid NZ$164 just for the day. I suggest you email the Auckland airport lodge, and ask him if he can accommodate you.

I arrived around midnight. I emailed them beforehand to let them know that I'll be arriving late and will need the shuttle. They said that was fine. You just need to find a payphone in the arrivals hall and give them a call (it's a free number). The shuttle arrived for me within 10 minutes. Pretty good.
