The establishment is located in the secondary town center, across the street from the biggest bank. The rooms are decent and the staff is reasonable, but not very content.
The hotel is mostly empty so getting a room when you need one even on the weekends is not a problem without reservation.
The restaurant serves the best pizza in town, I would strongly advise not to eat anything else as the quality drops of significantly.

Dear guest! Thank you for your hotel evaluation, which we find – in some of the facts – really surprising! As the hotel manager, I will personally try to make sure that our hotel personnel are attentive and friendly to all the guests even in the moments when their minds are overwhelmed by personal problems, which have no place at work… You mentioned that there is no problem with finding a free room in our hotel even during weekends. However, I would like to kindly suggest to all our guests, who are reading this reply, that they should always check the room availability and (if possible) book their rooms in advance. In many occasions, we actually cannot offer a room to some of our guests due to the full occupancy of the hotel… We really do serve the best pizzas in the Vipava Valley! We often receive compliments from Neapolitans who are the founding fathers of pizza and therefore certainly know what they are talking about. Since our hotel is always full of Italian guests, who really love our Mediterranean seafood, I am fully assured. Could you please tell me what was served to you that you were so disappointed with? This hotel was modern, with a nice bed and pristine bathroom, almost Vegas style, and priced reasonably.
We were driving through and saw very few signs for hotels. We stopped at the hostel in town, and it was 46 euro for two people to sleep in bunk beds in a shared dorm. The Hotel Gold was 75 euro with breakfast, and the room was the nicest we had in Slovenia. It was low on charm (compared to B&B's and rental apartments in the mountains), but it was the best deal we found in Ajdovscina after driving in late in the evening. We had wanted to stay in Col up in the mountains (the views were fantastic), but they didn't have any hotels or sobe for rent. So Ajdovscina and Hotel Gold it was.
I feel like the shower needs special mention. Unlimited hot water and incredible water pressure. It's nice to have an amazing shower after a long day of travel.
Breakfast was included and was phenomenal. Buffet style with everything you can imagine. Great coffee too. We also had dinner in the restaurant, which was reasonably priced and quite good. Very professional service too.
I'm sure most people would prefer to stay in cute B&B's in nearby small towns, but if you want a modern and well-priced hotel, this is a great choice.

Don't be fooled by the outside. Inside there are nice and clean hotel rooms. Rooms are missing mini bar and safe but has everything else you will need for a nights stay. Interior could need an upgrade. Breakfast was ok, but they ran out of dark bread.

Today I stoped at the restaurant which is known localy for good pizzas. Today I wanted to try something else and I've decided to order their local dish "ajdovec" which is a modified Vienna steak with pumpkins and fried garnish. Avoid. Salat bar looked to me very unpleasant. Not fresh ingredients. Good beer though. Toilets could be renewed.

Stayed here whilst doing some work in the town. It was the closest to where we are working and was good value. I have to be honest and say I wasn't expecting much, but I was however very impressed. The room was clean, quiet, the beds were very comfortable and the service was superb - exactly as required. I will say that I think the towel rail in the bathroom was connected to it's own nuclear power station as the amount of heat it gave out and the temperature in the bathroom was incredibly high - I couldn't work out how to turn it down or off. We ate in the onsite bar twice and we were again impressed. The food was basic but exactly as we required and wanted. Free parking is available outside the hotel - although I suspect as this is shared with the shopping area it could get busy. Breakfast was a good price and OK, a little more choice could be included. Free wifi was excellent with a better speed than I get at home. Overall very impressed and if I'm ever back in this area I would stay again.

This is the classic renewed hotel but not finished. The rooms are clean, tidy and a bit small, but comfortable. The reception is for a cheap hotel, nothing of remarkable, but the receptionjsts are quick and prifessional. The restaurant needs some extra work to be a bit more professional, in the evening we ate in the restaurant and there was allready all the breakfast ready for the morning after and the things we ate where good but could have been presented much better. Breakfast the morning after was good and croissants were hot and this is a very good point. The hotel is very cheap so it is a good solution for a quick sleep.

I will only review the dining experience. The food choices are somewhat classic, no surprises whatsoever. The service was average. I understand that the restaurant is mostly meant for people who spend the evening in the casino and want something easy and quick to eat. So don't expect above average food. The food was OK, except for the risotto, which was tasteless and simply not cooked enough. There is a complete lack of imagination and the chef works in a complete safe zone.

Basic hotel, giving good value for the price you have to pay. Clean rooms, rather small but everything one needs is available. Friendly staff. Hotel hosts a few restaurants and a casino, but we dit not notice any disturbing activity. Breakfast of average quality.
