Booked this as part of a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide as it looked very different from the other places we had booked. This was a fantastic place with great views especially the sunsets and stars - instructions for key pick up were spot on and owner was very helpful We soon settled in and were very impressed with...

On our trip from Melbourne to Adelaide via The Great Ocean Road we stayed in the Sunrise Cottage at Cape Nelson lighthouse, charming cottage, amazing setting, very cosy accommodation and well equipped kitchen, worth the drive from Portland. Would suggest buying supper and eating in as nothing within walking distance but that's half the charm.

This place is fantastic. Stayed for 2 nights with friends; very comfortable with modern kitchen and bathroom. Lovely lounge with open fire and a big TV if the weather is bad. Spectacular setting next to the lighthouse and the walking track. There's a cafe there for lunch. I would prefer to keep this place a secret.

What a surprise. These cottages are hidden away in the national park beside the old lighthouse. Beautifully restored and maintained. Only wish we had more than one night. Easy drive back to Portland for an evening meal with the added bonus of all the wildlife out on the road on the return journey. Wonderful looking coastal walks which sadly we...

The cottages at Cape Nelson are charming and have been renovated perfectly with period details in mind. The 12 ft ceilings make the rooms spacious, the beds are made with crisp white linens and the towels are thick. The bathroom is replete with a towel heater and and deep tub. The kitchen is well equipped and breakfast awaits in the...

These delightful cottages are hidden away in the national park beside the old (1880's) lighthouse (still functioning). Simply beautiful, clean and tidy. Perfect romantic getaway with beautiful scenery, walks and cosy cottages complete with open fires and ample firewood. Everything you could need including a location with beautiful sunsets. Will return as soon as possible!

Just a one night stay in Cottage 2 as we passed through Portland. Everything was perfect. Such a pleasant surprise to walk into clean, contemporary renovated cottage that still retains its old world charm with modern conveniences, beautiful furnishings and decor. Gorgeous bathroom. bedrooms and kitchen and lounge. The open fire was set so all we had to do was...

I cannot add anything more to what has already been said about this fantastic Cottage, it was quiet, peaceful and even with the wild weather the views from the cliff were amazing. I was also surprised at how reasonable the price was. Our only true regret is that we did not book for a longer stay. Everything about the cottage...

Absolutely loved staying in Sunrise cottage at Cape Nelson. The assistant lighthouse keepers cottages have been renovated to a high standard and are very snug and secure - I say that because when you have 100km/hour winds you need to feel secure. Mobile coverage is sporadic so if you are joined to you phone at the hip then this is...
