Our superb relaxed beach atmosphere, friendly yet attentive service and hospitality keep guests returning year after year. Guests love our location as we are away from town, just a short picturesque drive along the coast to stay beachside on our quiet and relatively private beach. Groups also are drawn to Henty Bay with easy access to many attractions and points of interest including the famous TRELOAR Roses, Great South West Walk passing along our beach and in whale season many whales are spotted from our park. Portland is home to Australia’s only mainland Colony of Gannets, Petrified Forest and so many more natural wonders, highlights and activities appealing to a wide variety interests and demographic.

The park is very clean and tidy. We had an ensuite site very close to the ocean. Our view was beautiful. Our ensuite facilities were clean, nice and accessible. The owners and staff are very friendly and approachable. We would certainly recommend this park to anyone. We would certainly return here should our travels bring us back to Portland, Victoria.

Not a great experience here. Showers were cold half the time. 1 toilet block with toilets that don’t flush all the time. Limited washing facilities as machines out of order. Games room mediocre. Great location though to explore the area but, could use some money spent on it.

We had an unpowered camp site in front of the beach. We had beautiful views and the park was perfect. We only had a slight issue with the people across from us because they were riding motor bikes in front of our campsite ruining the serenity. But other than that it was an amazing stay

We loved our stay of 4 nights. The Villa was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed sitting on the porch with our bay views. The Park is interesting in that a lot of it - the entrance, reception area etc is outdated but being in hospitality ourselves we can see that everything is presented to the best it can be, especially after 2 years of COVID and no income. Be kind! The communal areas in their heyday would have been very functional and still provide a lot, plenty of undercover areas to relax as you wish. The camp kitchen is fantastic, well equipped with great seating area with terrific scenery under cover. We loved walking around the park with its beach bush and hidden nooks as well as the opportunity for beach walks. We felt privileged to spend time in such a natural setting with a little bit of nostalgia of times gone by. If you want 5 star amenities this is not for you but if you want 5 star experience this is it.…

Very disappointed in amenities. Only one block in middle of park. Long walk from the other end of park. Reception very dull and uninviting. Dark and hard to see receptionist. Kids playground very run down. Only a jumping mat to entertain them. Very disappointed

This park was clean & close to beach. Our Cabin was very clean & comfortable. As cabin was near beach it was wonderful to watch the waves crashing on the rocks. Heater was awesome. A lovely meal was appreciated at their restaurant with the open fire going. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This caravan park is connected to the beautiful beach with stunning trees to complement it. Many sites are spread out making you feel like you are the only ones in the world. However, the ensuite was not as clean as we could hope. 4/5

We stayed in a cabin for a week. When we arrived, the basics were missing in the cabin (toilet paper, bin liner, chopping board etc). There was one glass for 2 people to share. The place is very run down. We certainly didn’t get what we paid for, which is disappointing.

Thank you daniaust79 for your feedback and comments. The basics missing from your cabin is very poor service indeed and these lack of necessities provided have been addressed with the cleaning team. It lets everyone down and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Now that peak season is behind us we are constantly making improvements around the park. Henty Bay Caravan Park was average at best. Many of the powered sites did not have a water trap for grey water. The toilets were often out of toilet paper and the showers rarely had a hot/cold balance. The toilet block in general was grubby and only cleaned (as I saw) once a day and there was only ONE toilet block for such a large park. I would recommend always taking extra tissues into the toilets! Overall, our experience was ok, but I wouldn't recommend this park to my family and friends.

Thanks P8702CMpennym for your feedback and comments. Now that peak season is just about behind us we can focus on improving our facilities. Adhering to COVID cleaning requirements and policies it meant that at a minimum 3 cleans per day was carried out and this was recorded on the spreadsheet as you enter the facilities. I'm sorry that at times the toilet paper ran low and we acknowledge over peak times we could do with more amenities. Thanks again for staying with us

The cabin was very clean on arrival . The staff were friendly and helpful, with the beach right on the doorstep was a plus for us, we would recommend. .Due to COVID restrictions the restaurant was only serving takeaway they had a reasonable menu which was quite good.
