Stayed 3 nights for work in an upstairs, 1BR Apartment.

Great room amenities:
Galley style kitchen - gas stove, oven, large fridge, microwave, pots/pans, cutlery/utensils and dishwasher. Tea & coffee, and welcome treat of chocolate coated almonds. Adjoining lounge and dining area, large balcony with outdoor setting.

Large bedroom with comfortable King size bed with two pillows, and BIR with mirrored doors.

Bathroom has everything you need, including large shower enclosure. My showerhead was a bit dodgy, but a quick email to the front desk in the evening saw maintenance repair the issue the next day whilst I was out at work. The waterproofing is discolored and the floor tile grout could do with a detailed clean, as it's a bit tired and stained. Michael Klim soap and hair products provided.

Euro style laundry with top lading washer and mounted dryer, plus detergent.

Parking spaces are unallocated and quite tight for larger vehicles, but not impossible to get into.

We have stayed here numerous times, booking a one bedroom apartment, and have usually been in an apartment down the side of the complex. This time we were given a one bedroom apartment at the front of the complex. The rooms on the side of the complex have a large balcony and an outdoor setting (table and chairs) for 4 people. Inside there is also a dining table that will seat 4.
The one bedroom apartments at the front of the complex have a small balcony and no outdoor furniture (although our room did have one outdoor chair). Inside there was only a small dining table and 2 chairs. We were unable to have family or friends over for dinner unless we sat on the floor and ate at the coffee table.
In short, as we were 2 adults travelling (with no children) we were discriminated against and given a room with sub-standard furnishings yet charged the same price as the one bedroom apartments that are on the side of the complex and have appropriate furnishings.
The one bedroom apartments at the front of the complex should not be charged the same rate and should be better advertised as only adequate for 2 persons.

Good Afternoon Tour11296433535, Thank-you for taking the time to leave a review, we appreciate the feedback. I'm very sorry to see you weren't happy with your apartment. We do only advertise our one bedroom apartments as suitable for 2 people, as they all only sleep 2 - I'm very sorry you feel misled about this. We do try and allocate requested rooms, but being Christmas Eve there were no room available to move you on arrival, I am very sorry. If you do decide to stay with us again in the future please feel free to request a preferred room in the reservation notes when booking and we will try our best to allocate you your preferred room. I am very sorry that you were so unhappy with the apartment and this feedback will be taken into consideration. I do hope that you stay with us again in the future despite this experience. Kind Regards,

Quest Portland has certainly improved. Their free wifi is much faster and they also now offer foxtel channels. There have also been updates to the rooms bedside lighting. Room is clean and bed is very comfortable. Always buy bottled water though as Portland tap water is very hard and unpleasant to drink.

We have stayed here a number of times in the past, in apartments and hotel rooms, this time in a motel room. Quest is in a good location to leave the car parked, and walk to the water front or to any of a number of places for food or just have a look around. Also is not very far from supermarkets. The room was clean and tidy and bed nice and comfortable. We stayed over the long weekend so there was no room servicing, that is the only thing we would question. Not being an apartment where you can wash or dry towels your stuck with the same damp 2 towels for the duration of the stay. For the priced charged, which was quite up there for a basic hotel room, an extra towel per person would probably be good in this situation. Other than that we were happy with the room and the stay.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was 2 storey. It was very clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were huge and were upstairs along with the lounge.
A courtyard provided access to the pool and was handy for storing our bikes.
Only let down was the daily servicing of the rooms was non existent, the towels were changed once in 5 days.
Convenient location in the middle of town with walking distance to shops and cafe's.

Our travel agent organised this accomodation and what an amazing surprise. Two generous sized bedrooms, the master with an ensuite and a television.

The showers were massive with large rain heads with LED lights that made you aware of water temperature.

Having a full Foxtel package in the living room was a nice surprise as were the high quality appliances.

The apartments are close to shops, dining and attractions and offer undercover parking.

This apartment experience has made me want to book with Quest in other cities.

We stayed in a hotel room (not an apartment) at this Quest for two nights while visiting family in Portland. The location is great, a short walk to the main street and waterfront, and it's easy to find.

On arriving shortly before 2pm, we were told our room wasn't ready and we'd be contacted when it was. Our room became available at about 2.40pm (by text message) but on returning to the reception, there was no-one around nor any obvious means of contacting anyone. After a short wait, we were checked-in with no concern or mention of the delay. The staff seemed flustered and disorganised.

Our room was very large, upstairs at the very rear of the complex with parking underneath. It was clean and tidy, though furnished in a very spartan manner with some tired-looking pieces. The bed was huge and comfortable, while the bathroom was functional but suffered from aging low quality fittings (taps, etc.). Accessing the room at night was tricky as the stairwell was unlit and the (unlockable) door to the car parking area opened so close to the bottom step as to make it dangerous.

We enjoyed our time in Portland and the convenience provided by this accommodation. The overall impression, though, was of a disorganised and poorly maintained property and the high price of the room here wasn't reflected in the quality of the furnishings, common areas, etc. This is a decent property in a handy location, but it felt expensive for what it was.

Overall the location and venue were very good. On our first day of arrival, I noted insects inside the room in the windows and spider webs. Cleaning of these window frames had not been provided for some time. This was my only concern all other aspects of the room, the venue and location were very good and good place to stay.

This two-bedroom ground floor unit could be fine for a business trip, but for a holiday stay, the design and layout were awful. The bedrooms were both large, and one of the bathrooms was set up as an ensuite for one of them. The second bathroom was at the opposite end of the apartment to the other bedroom. The living space was of limited use. It was very small, esp if there were 4 people. The 'dining table' was tiny. The couch and table mats could do with a clean. The cooking area was crammed into one small bench, so there was almost no space to prepare food, stack dishes, or put the washing up. There was no space to walk around at all. Sink plug did not hold the water. No ice in the ice trays. The 'view' from the living area was of the enclosed outdoor area with basic table and chairs + concrete, with no outlook and the ambience of a garbage storage space. The bedrooms had no luggage racks. In one bathroom, the exhaust fan turned itself on and off at random, sometimes during the night. There were not enough towel racks for the towels. On the plus side, staff were helpful and efficient.

Upon entering the reception area I felt immediately that everything was spacious and clean. I actually commented to the receptionist how clean the area smelt. We spent one night in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. I was very surprised how spacious all the rooms were and I appreciated the heavy block out blinds in my bedroom. The venue is around the corner from two supermarkets and close walking distance to everything. I spoke to a couple of staff who all smiled and seemed very friendly. I would highly recommend Quest Portland!
