I would like to highly commend the management team at the Portland Bay Holiday Park. Please pass this on to the relevant person. Where do we start? We stayed here for 3 weeks, unfortunately due to an issue with our vehicle, but having experienced this we could not speak more highly of the management of this park. They went above and beyond our expectations in assisting us to get back on the road to continue our travels. Nothing we needed was too much trouble. We had the perfect site, the amenities and location were top notch. The cleanliness and maintenance of the park was faultless as was the greeting and assistance we received from the administration team whenever we contacted them. The Happy Hour/Live Music sessions put on by Gavin and his daughter Elly, two very talented people were awesome and Dee even walked around with plates of nibblies. I was very happy to see and use their disabled bathroom facility. Shower chair, hand rails both both showe and toilet, and a handheld/fixed shower. As someone with reduced mobility, it was much appreciated.
The site for or motorhome of 6.9 metres fitted snuggly into the space but more than enough side room for the sunshade,
Short walk down stairs to a lively quiet and dog friendly beach. The steps are a good size with handrails either side. The steps are not disabled friendly.

Great place to stay while in Portland. This park was really easy to get to, staff were lovely and accommodating to all questions, had local information to share which is always good. We had a water view cabin which is worth the money, very short walk to the lighthouse and easy access to town. There is a walking track from the park along the waterfront which takes you into town but also over to WWII memorial museum. Cabins were very quiet, spacious and had everything we needed. Park right next to or at the back of the cabin depending which cabin you get.

Recently visited NRMA Portland. Besides the beautiful location and large sites, the owners were so welcoming, going above and beyond to provide live entertainment for guests, tourist information as well as accommodating an extension of our stay. We will definitely be back next summer.

A beautiful park in a stunning location. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin which had views of the lighthouse and the ocean. It was beautifully presented, immaculate with attention to detail. The staff were very polite, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you NRMA Portland Bay Holiday Park for providing us with a wonderful experience in your park. It had a quiet and tranquil environment. The Water view cabin we stayed had an uninterrupted view of the surrounding nature. Holiday Park was conveniently located to get to the city and the Portland historical tram too stopped there. Cabin was well equipped and spacious. Best suited for family. At the reception the gentleman who received us was extremely helpful and courteous. He gave us directions to the attractions and showed all that in a map helping us to explore the area conveniently. The period of our stay was marred by wet weather and strong winds. However, we were able to visit most of the places that we initially intended, beating the unpredicted weather pattern.

We stayed at one of the cabins for a family of 3. Check-in was a breeze and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. All cooking utensils/cutlery and appliances were provided. The cabin also came with a BBQ pit at the porch. Pity the weather was TOO COLD to use it.
The property is located next to the sea which we could easily access via the side gates. There is a lighthouse just outside the holiday park. We also spotted a few koalas on the tree next to our cabin!

Sensational caravan park. Hosts Gavin and dee make you feel like old friends. The cabins are top class for cleanliness and facilities. There is a camp kitchen campfire most nights, visiting food vans, koalas, whales in season, shops, dining all walking distance...a must do stop over. We came for a week and stayed for 3!!!

Booked an ensuite site and was glad we did, the park was extremely busy which is excepted this time of year. The ensuite (although a little pricey) was the best I have ever seen in a caravan park, modern, clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, we would stay there again if in the area.

If you’re wanting tranquility, beach views and friendly service, this is the place to stay. Always met with a warm friendly smile, the team at this park are terrific. We are annual visitors who book for the following year as we leave. There’s whales to watch and fishing to be had. This Portland holiday park has it all. Our favourite cafe near by in Main Street is the “Port of call”. You won’t be disappointed… 🤝
