We have stayed at the retro a number of times now, and don't even worry about seeing about the availability of other motels. Absolutely amazing staff, super friendly and go above and beyond for their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Outside room parking and very quiet location. Not within walking distance of town however great views can be enjoyed...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to park a large trailer in the yard. Room was clean and well furnished, shower was great. Good to have bench area in bathroom and large mirror. Microwave, plates and cutlery appreciated. Over all excellent and great value for money.

A friend and I stayed here overnight as stall holders at the local community market. Everything was great! As the name suggests....its retro so no one can complain that it's in need of an upgrade. Everything was perfect! Friendly welcome, comfortable beds, everything you need, good parking, free wifi, quiet area.

We stayed for only 1 night, but had all we needed: comfortable beds, a nice shower, and free internet access. Although we were arriving late, the team made easy our check in, letting the keys ready inside the room for us. Portland is lovely, we visited the seals colony in Bridgewater Cape. No complaints, would certainly recommend.

We stayed in a room with a single and queen bed. The room was great- very neat and tidy. Had excellent facilities in the room and the beds were quite comfortable. It was a great location for us as we could easily drive in and out of town. The staff were wonderful as they were very helpful and willing to...

We had a night here enroute from Adelaide to Melbourne, it provided exactly what we needed, somewhere comfortable to spend the night and not expensive like many of the other options around. We had a very friendly welcome from the owners. It was a pleasant if slightly longer walk than we expected to get to the restaurants.

Very clean, helpful staff, close to city centre, will highly recommend. Booked a month before to stay overnight with a dog (cavalier) and had no issues. Peter and other staff were very helpful and seemed like nothing is a trouble. Will certainly come back.

We're two girls traveling together as backpackers. Our car broke down and died completely just outside of Portland, so we needed a place to stay for a few days, until we could get on the move again. We came across Portland Retro Motel, where we stayed for three nice. The family who owns it were the nicest people ever. Because...
