Two nights stay at Lorelei was very comfortable in cold Portland. The heating in the room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. The inclusions in this BnB were great - as much wine (red or white) and beer as you wanted. The breakfast provisions were more than adequate and filled us up for a day of walking and exploring around the beautiful district of Portland and Cape Bridgewater.

In addition, the host was very friendly and we enjoyed nice long conversations with him at breakfast time. He gave us good advice on the local area. I would highly recommend staying at Lorelei BnB.

What a gem of a place…. beautiful house and surrounds and so convenient to everything. The amenities were excellent as was the host Roger. He managed to be both unobtrusive and helpful so that we had privacy but assistance if /when required . The bed was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The extra touches including breakfast were equivalent to that of much more expensive accommodation.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place and recommend anyone thinking of visiting Portland to use Lorelei B & B as a stop over.

I have just spent 3 nights with 3 friends (from Victoria and South Australia) at this beautiful 110 year old house. Our host Roger, was very obliging and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask. We each had queen size beds and ensuites. The cooked breakfast was well worth the small amount extra $$. Would most certainly visit again, should I be in Portland again.

As good as it gets for B & B's. Superbly run by host Roger who knows what travellers need & provides it. Well located near shops, restaurants & the port. Clean, comfortable with private ensuites & situated in pleasant surrounds. Excellent value, & the tariff also includes breakfast. We were barely aware of other guests even though Lorelei was booked out for our stay. Thoroughly recommended. .

We booked 2 rooms for a night. The beds were comfy. Atmosphere was great. Breakfast super.
Not too crowded as it’s only 8 guests in total.
Living room with large leather sofas is very cosy and comfortable. I can recommend grabbing a beer next to the fireplace and just have a slow evening.

We recently stayed at Lorelei bed and breakfast on our trip along the Great Ocean Road. When we arrived we were shown the facilities and to our room. Our room was large and had its own bathroom, the room was decorated beautifully and was spotlessly clean. The room had everything we needed and more. We also enjoyed the fact that there was access to complimentary espresso coffee, beer, wine and port in the living room. We sat in the large bay window in the living room reading the paper and enjoying a drink as the weather was not particularly favourable to outdoor activities. The next morning we enjoyed a continental breakfast in the large dining room which included cereal, a range of breads, fruit and yoghurt. There was also a phone that could be used free of charge for local and std calls if need be. Its these extras that made us feel at home at Lorelei. Highly recommend Lorelei if travelling through Portland.

In every detail Roger, our host, gave us a memorable stay. The accommodation far exceeds expectations, the welcome is warm and friendly and the extra touches are delightful surprises. Congratulations, Roger, and lucky Portland, having such a splendid B & B.
