When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are motels and motels. Some are just a one night stop on the highway, others are where you spend your actual holiday. This is definitely the former but is all you need for a one night stop. Friendly, helpful, clean, out of town a touch (a good thing in Port Augusta!) and secure off-street parking.

As soon as we walked in to our room we wanted to stay an extra night. So we went straight to the office and booked.
The new rooms are wonderful, clean, airy and comfortable.
We enjoyed a barbeque in the cleanest bbq area we had seen throughout our trip. Did not try the pool but it was right there ready for us.
The sunset over the township from the bbq area was fabulous !
Laundry was cheap and easy to access and use, even though the clothes line was out of action that was not a problem as house staff found another for us to use.
Staff are really friendly and helpfull, even down to providing discount fuel vouchers for travelling guests, a nice touch.
We will be returning on our next foray to South Australia

The meal in the restaurant was very nice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a bit of noise as workers departed first thing in the morning, but nothing unreasonable. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great budget stay. I stayed in one of the old rooms and it was fine.. the new ones are probably better again. Noise from the highway wasn't any problem.
The manager was helpful with a special request. The on-site restaurant is great.. definitely stay here again.

Stayed there one night to find out that bed was made with old linen from previous guests. Disgusting! Can't recommend this place, keep driving it only can be better! Wifi did not work either! No point offer free wifi when it is not working! Staff very unfriendly and not helpful

This place is cheap but very run down and too far out of town. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbour. After speaking with locals, recommendations are to stay on the northern side of town (over the bridge). I wouldn't stay here any longer than a night. It's clean enough but not attractive at all.

The rooms are really showing their age and lack of attention. Dirty carpet, stained benches and flakey paint. The meal was probably the worst that I have had anywhere, mushy vegetables( over salted ) the beef schnitzel was crisp, too crisp! The mashed potato was something that I have never experienced but truly disgusting.
The reception girls and wait staff ( one in the same) were really good, the management obviously lets them down. This place needs a major refit and a new chef!

This place is cheap, however the showers are good and the king single bed was comfortable. Hard to complain about anything at $50 for a private room with private shower and toilet. The rooms are also fairly large. There is a restaurant by reception but i didn't try it.
Needs a lick of paint here and there but it is what it is.

Would stay again.

I recently stayed at this motel while at Port Augusta working. the staff on check in (Two guys) were friendly and helpful. the room was clean and tidy. The only down side was after working in the 43 degree sun all day the cold water in the shower was still about 38. This is due to the above ground water pipe into the town. I had a meal in the restaurant that was fantastic with very friendly waitress. excellent value for money in a standard room.

Thanks for giving us your review. We totally understand about the cold water not being cold during extreme hot weather. We wish this could be changed but unfortunately it is out of our control. We have some other Standard Rooms further to the back of the property which would be a bit quieter next time you visit. There is also our Deluxe Rooms which are double brick buildings, you won't hear any traffic noise in these. Hope to see you again!
