My wife and I stayed 3 nights, arriving before 3PM by rental car from North Lakes. The owner took my card payment and handed our key and I parked outside room #10. It was tiled, clean and spacious with a closet, comfortable queen, 2 single beds(used for storage), outfitted kitchenette with table and 4 chairs and an outfitted bathroom with a glass tiled shower with large fluffy towels. The nice TV had perfect reception of a score of channels, decent secure WIFI, quiet AC with remote, ample outlets and opening windows. The road out front had muted noise that didn't affect our night’s sleep. The provided continental breakfast consisted of many choices. We chose OJ, coffee packets, raisin bread with marmalade, fruit cocktail and muesli with milk. Breakfast was delivered the evening before, allowing us to eat when we wanted. This nice motel is near to 2 shopping centers(Coles/Woolworths supermarket) and 1.5km to the Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum.

This small motel is located in the heart of Pialba, Hervey Bay. With only 10 rooms, it's run by a young couple who are friendly and welcoming. Each room has Q bed and additional singles. Rooms have a small table and chairs and a basic kitchenette with cutlery and crockery for 4 people. The bathroom has a corner shower recess and a tiny handbasin. A generous continental breakfast is brought to the rooms about 5pm each evening. The beds are relatively hard and the pillows fairly flat. The property backs onto the Pialba Shopping Plaza. The down side is that road noises disturbed sleep, although there were some quieter periods though the night.

As a frequent traveller to Hervey Bay, I have stayed in multiple places around the region and wanted to try this place with its great reviews. Searching for the place, google maps took me to the Pialba shopping centre and I was wondering where this place was. I left the centre and drove around and finally found the entrance to the motel. Upon arrival, it was easy and quick to check in, only having to fill in the form to indicate the breaky I wanted each morning. It had a choice of raisin/white toast, type of spreads, choice of cereals, juice and milk. I could park right in front of my unit and it had a double latch for safety at night. There was a ceiling fan and air conditioner in the room, which was perfect for me. The kitchenette had everything required for three persons and the dining table was a good size within the room. The room was spacious. The bathroom had a good layout, except for the vanity which was quite small. Fortunately, the shelving at the side made up for it. The shower had good water pressure and could get to temperature pretty quickly. The bed was firm and comfortable. The pillows can be too flat but I do bring my own pillow so that was fine. The television reception was not fantastic though. As it was the Commonwealth games season, channel 7 was fine but not the other channel 7s, such as 7mate, 7two etc which showed nothing. Internet was ok, at times was quite weak. The blackout curtain in the room was great too, making the room dark enough for a good night's rest. The room was also quiet enough to not hear what was going on with the neighbours. The next day, I saw the housekeeping staff and left instructions on what to do and what not to bother with. She was amicable and asked if I wanted the same type of breaky and I told her the changes I would like to make. She did everything requested promptly and accurately, which I was quite impressed. I usually hang out quite a bit along the pier and around the esplanade, hence, I did find that Main Street motel was a little too far out from my usual hangout places and hence I may try out other places. Other than the location, the motel is a clean and good sized place to stay and the hospitality is good with daily housekeeping, which is lacking even in the 5 star hotels I stay along the esplanade.

Would definitely recommend, the owners were extremely helpful, could not do enough to help you. It was a really nice touch having breakfast provided, which was very enjoyable. We actually travelled there by Greyhound Bus, the location of the motel to the bus stop was good, there were lots of facilities in walking distance.

Excellent stay, so impressed with spacious room, 10/10 cleaniness, well stocked with toiletries, ease of kitchenette, comfortable bed, nice pillows. Traffic on Main rd was minimal on a Friday and Saturday night. Parking at your front door. Close to Coles, and childrens Water park activities. We had two rooms and a new clean portable cot was easily provided for our use. The Continental breakfast was a bonus, old fashioned style , a credit to the young couple running this Motel. Helpful and friendly people I would highly recommend, a real gem.

We stayed here on our way back from a long road trip and was pleasantly surprised at the great quality and standard of this hotel. Centrally located, complimentary breakfast, fresh milk, large comfortable room. This is a hotel offering superior value to many other similar venues. Would stay here again the hosts are friendly and helpful.

Located very close to a major supermarket and to the Hervey Bay RSL which was good for dinner. Not too far from the Esplanade. Comfortable rooms recently refurbished. Breakfast included with the room was of the cereal and toast variety delivered to your room in the evening and was quite adequate. Very good value. The dining chairs could have used a cushion.

Main Street Motel is like receiving a present wrapped in plain paper but the wonder inside awaits you. It is immaculately clean and dots all the i's and crosses all the t's in providing everything that you could wish for during your stay, unlike many far more expensive places. Rebecca and Jess have such an easy-going way about them; nothing is too much trouble and they do all that they can for you. If you are looking for old-fashioned hospitality, kindness, cleanliness and comfort for your stay, I can thoroughly recommend them. The motel is centrally located for easy access to everything in Hervey Bay and surrounds and is value for money.

The people running this motel are outstanding! Room was spotless and fresh. I was offered a town map on arrival. They pay attention to detail and even when I forgot to order breakfast they delivered what I ordered yesterday. Amazing. I stayed at an ‘ upmarket’ motel here last week but couldn’t get in this week. I will not go back there when this is available. Thank you Main Street Motel.

Travelled from Perth to HB for a wedding. Really enjoyed the location and quality fitout of the motel. The young owners looked after us like friends not just guests. While the motel looks like a 60's Car-Otel on the outside, the rooms are near new inside and that's what counts. Shower pressure and TV very good as were the beds and aircon. Highly recommend this place and its location is perfect for walking around HB too. Love the complimentary breakky as well
