Popped in for Sunday dinner with our little dog and were welcomed by the friendly staff. Nice location outside with water views and a lovely breeze. Steaks were cooked to our liking and price was reasonable. Asian options looked great too and have 'bookmarked' this for another time. The actual restaurant is the Fig Tree Bistro.

Regulars (6) so looked forward to seeing their refreshed update. Looks much better but disappointed with menu. New Asian menu (we are overloaded with Asian options in Hervey Bay already) and $18-$30 for small pub menu but huge servings! Would prefer smaller serves and price for lunch menu and/or senior menu as can see you will lose a lot of customers. Unfortunately, you have lost 6 of us.

This hotel literally has a pub behind the residential section. The motel looks quite neglected from the outside. The lawn hasn’t been mowed for a long time and looks messy. We thought it was closed but found the front door open to reception. The reception area had a shutter down and we nearly walked out but noticed a sign with a phone number so we called it and someone came promptly and checked us in. The room is absolutely fine and quite spacious. It’s looking tired but it’s ok and definitely good value for money.
It’s a couple of kilometres to the shops but anyone coming here would have a car so that isn’t a problem. There is under cover car parking.
We are happy with the room, especially considering the rate.

We tried for the second time to have a meal at figtree resturant.
The menu was confusing to say the least.
It stated that ALL mains could have a choice of chips and salad or mash and veg, but when we went to order, there actually was only the steaks (overpriced) or the 2 snitties that offered this choice.
The barra I wanted was not "allowed" this easy switch over to mash.
The drinks were over priced compared to many hotels in Hervey bay.
We will never grace their door again and will always go to the RSL at least they switch out to whatever the CUSTOMER wants, after all, the bowl of mash is most definitely prepared and ready for meals that allow it!!! what a joke, and very poor customer service.

We enjoyed an amazing calamari salad with coriander & lime dressing - loved it. We sat in the newly extended garden, noticing a new rooftop area, new umbrellas, brickwork. Inside had been done as well -new tiles, paint, concertina doors, cold beer & terrific service

Went with my two children, booked for 5nights, but once we got there, couldn't wait to get out, stayed for 2.
Photos look nothing like the horror hotel, if you want a holiday with a nice ambiant feeling do not go to Hervey Bay "Last" Resort.
Upon Entering room 18, it smelt like vomit, purple walls outdated and crumbling, carpet stained and smelly, furniture outdated, faded and old. No balcony, broken shelf, cupboard door missing. Old beds, with old, faded and smelly bed covers.
Even though the price was only $105, that is too much for what was offered there.
The pictures on the website, show it very differently, quite decieving indeed. Pictures from the room overlooking the sea, were taken in winter, not summer as the caravan park was full, so you can see the sea only from far away.
The only thing that was nice was the near new pool, which was clean and very nice, however not worth paying $105 just to go for a swim in a pool.
Was very disappointed in Hervey Bay Resort, to go and stay there, would have to be " THE LAST RESORT"

Order the meal Singapore noodle it's the worst Singapore noodle of ever had I could not eat the food. Dry chicken with curry powder next no noodle,minimal vegetables and a heap of bean sprouts. I would not recommend meal at this place hotel and save your money

We had dinner at this hotel on Sunday night as they have so-called cheap specials, well really not. You pay for each item on the menu, so it really is no cheaper that any other hotel/pub for dinner.
The bar staff only serve you when they can be bothered, appears they are back packers and no real interest in customers or service. 3 bar staff on the bistro bar only 1 and a half working.

No booking was necessary. The menu has the usual pub fare but has a lot of Asian influenced selections. We ordered from the Entrees as well as the Singapore Noodles to share. We were pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the dishes and found out everything is handmade from scratch. The other meals we saw going looked really good too.
The outdoor area is large with nice water views. A nice area for an afternoon session.

My family and our spoodle were welcomed at the Hervey Bay Hotel tonight for dinner. We sat in the beer garden and it was great. Nice big tables and well layed out. We ordered chicken parmies and a beef Burger. The chicken parmies were absolutely delicious! Chicken breast and cooked to perfection. Hubby's beef Burger was huge and he said it was delicious too. So reasonably priced. The staff were all so friendly as well. Nothing was to much trouble! If you are looking for a yummy meal at a great price then look no further!!
