This is a typical old-style motel so familiar to most Australian travellers in style and layout. We had a standard double room. The room included a jug, toaster and microwave, a bar in the area to sit at with stools (separate to the desk under the mirror) and two sets of cups, plates, bowls, and cutlery plus washing up sachets, chux etc so suitably equipped to eat in. The sink in the kitchenette only had cold water plumbed to it-no big deal with the jug handy to boil hot water. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. There was a small pool and a BBQ in the grounds. Parking was outside the room. Part of the motel is two story. Complimentary drinks and a meal discount was offered at the nearby Bayswater Bar and Grill which would have been good to take up if we had not arrived late at the end of the trip and were too tired. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent right on the Esplanade towards the jetty end.
Since these type motels are used mostly for one night stays and they have thin walls there was the usual noise of people returning from eating out/pub and leaving early so if you are a light sleeper you might need ear plugs. It quietened after 11pm til around 5am.

We stayed here for two nights. It was very clean, beds comfortable and some cooking needs plus a microwave, bigger than normal fridge, a very good size T. V plus close enough for take away which is a small drive along the water.
The staff were very helpful.
Shower was not that great and a little dated. It could do with Decafe left in the room and I say this due to a lot of people with heart conditions are only allowed Decafe coffee and tea next time I'd have to remember to take my own.
Would stay here again ? Most diffenitly !

After our Sat Nav took us a roundabout route we were delighted to find this clean and comfortable motel on the Esplanade. The room was great equipped with mini kitchen and a full size fridge freezer which was perfect as I was carrying some frozen goods home from Brisbane. Staff were friendly. (Fireworks startled us after we drifted off to sleep!! Ha ha!! We thought Hervey Bay was being invaded! Someone was late for NYE!!))

Stayed for two nights and no complaints, very clean and comfortable. Great kitchenette fully functionally with fridge, microwave, two hot plates, toaster, kettle and electric fry pan. We were allowed to check in early. Nice touch with the drink vouchers. Located across from the beach.

Felt weird from the beginning, we stayed for two nights and tried to book in a further 4 nights, and the woman inside treated my partner like dirt on the bottom of her shoe!! They’ve got absolutely no shame, do not come here if you are POC!!! We were forced to sit in the rain this morning, I couldn’t go in and complain about how my partner was treated because the office was ‘unattended’. It wasn’t - the woman just didn’t want me to go in and start filming her. I don’t understand how the staff can be so rude when they’re CLEARLY a struggling business - and no wonder why. Unless you’ve got blonde hair and blue eyes, don’t come here - seriously...

Only here for one night. Read reviews and all said clean and comfortable. It was an ok room but the cleanliness was a huge letdown,especially now with covid. The blinds in the bathroom were black with dust and the toaster had crumbs all over and in it. I used an antiseptic wipe to dust down and Glen 20,it really was dirty. The bed was not comfortable. Just a good clean and new mattress would do the trick. The lady at reception was very pleasant and helpful.location very good. I think we had the most basic room,maybe others were better but it shouldn't cost extra for cleanliness.

Easy check in and check out, helpful staff. Rooms were lovely and clean. Large fridge with complimentary bottle water was welcome as the weather was very hot. We've stayed before and will happily stay again.

The location is great, right across the road from the beach. Nice pool and lovely BBQ area. The rooms were clean and quite spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. The team were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would recommend to anyone wanting a place close to the beach within walking distance of cafes and hotel restaurant, which if you present your room key you get a discount on your meal.

We booked a motel room with a full kitchen. Found the room to be very clean, kitchen was very handy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, a short walk to Torquay shops or the other direction to the Pier. Will definitely stay here again. Only suggestion would be to perhaps update the frying pans as it didn't sit flat on the stove, perhaps an electric frying pan.
