Ramada Hervey Bay is a fantastic resort in a great location close to the marina and only short stroll to the pier. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. The central pool is great with 3 zones at different temperatures. Communal BBQ area and complimentary bike hire make it a great package. However we did have a minor issue that stopped our stay from being great....on arrival the TV was not working, so we contacted reception. They tried to reset at their end but it did not work. Next morning maintenance came at 10am to check the message on the TV and said he would contact the company and come back to us. Came back later that afternoon to check but still wasn't working, said he would contact them again. That evening I contacted reception to ask what we can do about this and they said "plug in your own netflix!!" and sent a message to maintenance again. Next day maintenance came and checked the message on TV again and contact the company. No message or return call to say it was working, just tested it that evening and it worked....finally on day 3 of a 4 day stay. Now we didn't come to Hervey Bay to sit in the room and watch TV however in the evening it is nice to give the children something to wind down with for half an hour but we couldn't do this and resorted to our own devices (iPads) which we shouldn't have to do in a 4 star resort that advertises as having TV in the rooms. I appreciate that every effort was made to try and help fix the situation but 3 days to fix....imagine if we were only staying 2 days? Not even an offer to switch rooms or minor compensation like a free drink or breakfast to apologize for the error. Apart from that great stay and would recommend.

Family visit, 10 people - 3 rooms 1 suite Rooms were very disappointing We booked 2 adjoining rooms, they were not adjoining!!!! All rooms had problems….eg lights not working, power points not working….rooms not really clean…..found a tablet from the last guests on our bathroom floor…what if one of the kids found it before we did Breakfast staff really we really rude, told us the 10 of us could t have breakfast there..but then did us a favour and let us have breakfast….the price for Brekky was good….but the breakfast was a bit of a faulty towers……hot food…cold hot food…..there was always something that had run out in the buffet. The barista was particularly rude….in fact so rude we would never have breakfast there again The staff for dinner were lovely however the food was hit and miss……some meals were good others awful. None of the meals came at the same time…..the kids first….then 45 mins later…..the pasta…then perhaps 10 mins after that the rest of he main. The pasta was not good. other meals nice…but disappointingly …the signature pork ribs were tough and dry, the chips cold and soggy..the coleslaw..was like supermarket coleslaw… On wha we experienced doubt if we would come bck

Have been a regular client for many years. This trip was the worst ever. New staff in the restaurant, started by ordering the the Oven Fresh Garlic Ciabatta and asked to add cheese. The Ciabatta came without cheese. When asking staff where is the cheese. No response but still charged for the cheese. It was only $2.00 but I like cheese. Ordered two drinks the house chardonnay and a bacadi and coke. After much seraching of the fridges and paper work the staff member returned and said we don’t have a house chardonnay on the menu. Both staff on duty appeared very stuck up and could not use the computer system at all. It took 15 minutes to get the two drinks. After completion of our meal wanted to but the expence on to our room. Was told we could not do it at the front counter dispite other clients doing that at the front. Had to return to the bar. Much issues managing the computer. Refused to apply my 10% Loyality Discount Card to the cost. I have been using this card for many years without issue. There is no expiry date on the card and was given it early in my travels here as a loyal customer. Not any more. The air conditioner in the room did not cool dispite following all the instructions and trying numerous settings. The fan in the bedroom had been removed off the wall and the screws were left protruding. Without air con and a fan experieced two very uncomfortable nights. There were no windows in the room and was not safe to leave the patio doors open. There was a lot of mould in the grout of the shower. Have never seen that before here. To top off a horrible stay was the painting and sanding of the dinning room and outside eating area at breakfast time both mornings. The second morning there was a worker about 2 metres from me sanding and painting inside. To make it even worse breakfast finished at 9 am and the painters left to have smoko at 9 am. There was a smell of paint throught the main building and my wife was nearly violently ill with the fish like paint smell in the lift. The painters had also painted the carpet. Owners have let the place and staff run down and do not respect guests. They have received my last payment.

Found this hotel on TripAdvisor. It was a good choice - reasonable price, superb one bedroom layout, with alot of space to spread out. We had a ground floor apartment with direct access to the pool area. What a pleasure to have after a hot day driving. The onsite restaurant as a plus as this hotel seems to be located away from the majority of restaurants and cafes. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have access to a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Sadly our TV was not working, but we enjoyed an evening drinking wine on the verandah. It was a very modern, clean and quiet hotel with onsite parking. Very convenient! Wifi access was seamless and reliable, and we had lovely breakfast onsite too. Service was fantastic at dinner and also at breakfast. I would return.

Amazing customer service by Keira. We were leaving the accommodation to move on to another apartment. We were struggling to book a taxi. Keira who worked on the reception booked us a taxi, then a few minutes later she pulled up in her car and drove us. She said we could be waiting for ages as it was early evening. She went out of her way, she made sure that we had got into the apartments before she left us. Service as good as this is rare. Thank you Keira, not sure if this is how your name is spelt. We really appreciated it.

Where do I start? Parking...there is no parking, it's first in best dressed type thing. Noticed trailers with a jet ski and another with motor cross bikes have priority. Came home from dinner and had to park up the frigging road in the middle of nowhere. Room: my partner booked this, so unsure what was paid for the basic of basic rooms. Fridge can only hold 3 large bottles of water. No freezer or ice tray. You have to walk back to reception every time you need ice. The constant noise from the pool area was nice too! I've stayed in a 90 dollar a night room in goondoowindi that was better than this! I'll be booking if we ever come back to this place again, and it won't be here!

A nice service apartment in Hervey Bay. Reception is friendly and helpful. We stayed here for a night before taking our 4WD to Fraser Island via River Heads. All the in room facilities are good except the sofa bed which is a bit dusty and not quite comfortable. Our room has a sizeable balcony facing the pool which is nice and the area was quiet. The hotel has undercover carpark with 2.1m headroom which could not accommodate my 4WD with a roof box. The receptionist allowed me to park in the front disable carpark (as there was no requirement on that day) which is handy for us.

We generally enjoy staying at this property, good size rooms, lovely big pool., property located in lovely Boat Harbour, but no view from rooms, nicely located to the fab Boat Club. Biggest disappointment is limited room facilities for a property of this standard, we have learnt to request a toaster when booking, there is no microwave and only a couple of glasses, no cutlery or crockery, even though I had checked on this on the day of arrival. Even budget motels offer these things! Under cover car park can be full if there are high booking levels, have noted staff using disabled parking outside

Great kitchen facilities and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and even though we were on the bottom floor it was quiet. Nice pool and spa. Parking could be challenging- we had to park on the street a couple of times.
