We stayed here for 2 nights starting Christmas Day. The property is stunning with Mountain Views. The pool and hot tub are small but also share the amazing view. Very serene spot. The rooms are beautiful. We had a lodge suite with a full living...More
The perfect stay! Its barely a drive from the main town of Kiakoura and completely worth the 2 hrs from ChristChurch. The treehouses are a short distance away from the main lodge and worth it for the height advantage. Very roomy. Since it’s on a...More
and what a view - olive trees and sea on one side, deer and mountains on the other. We were a bit sceptical that the tree house idea might be a gimmick, but we couldn't have had those views at ground level.

There is also very positive news that the main state highway south of Kaikoura (SH1) is likely to be opened before the 20th December.
You could also look at taking a helicopter or fixed wing flight in and out. I can highly recommend this as a way to see the coastline, and is a wonderful experience. Hapuku are offering a significant subsidies for this as I am aware it can be expensive. Trailfinders should be able to give you the full information on this, let me know if they cannot. If you have car hire I am sure they can look at changing it around. It is not like you need it at Bay of Many Coves anyway, and they have a helipad.
