There can't be many other places that match this for comfort and convenience. Big rooms, huge patio wondows, kitchen facilities, modern bathroom, wifi, 8 minutes walk to nearest, very good, restaurants, and about 15 minutes the other way to the town centre. So it's quiet, at night the only sounds you hear are the waves washing up onto the shore...

What an amazing place to stay! Paul and Lyn greeted us very warmly, personally showed us to our room and provided us with advice on locations for dinner. The rooms are spotless, well appointed, warm with excellent views. My only regret us that we could only stay one night in Kaikoura!

The good: The motel had a great view of the ocean if you get one of the rooms. There are some that do not face the ocean. The bad: Room 15 didn't have heat. Its chilly in September here. Also, the shower ran out of hot water fairly quickly.

Sorry for the inconvenience , we have had the Heat pump looked at and the setting were changed around to heat only again on the remote from cooling only. All our units have 180 liter hot water cylinders , and usually this is suffice , and the bath will take most of that if used. A quick word with Lyn...

The room was a good size, clean and accessible on the ground floor. The bathroom was huge, and looked to be wheelchair friendly. The room seemed to have been freshly painted, and the kitchenette was big enough to cook a meal. We only stayed overnight, but Lyn was really helpful with advice and rang and booked for us at The...

The room was large with amazing views of the sea. A decent sized kitchenette, the place was really clean. When we were leaving...

We loved staying here, Lyn was so lovely and we really enjoyed the central location and her recommendations of local things to do and places to eat. The room was comfortable, clean and really great value.

This is our second time staying at Anchor Inn, and we were not disappointed. Located just enough out of "town" to be quiet, but close enough to walk. The owners are helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Our room for 5 nights was warm, well-equipped, clean, and comfortable for a family of 4. We love the "lounge" area and upstairs bedrooms. A...

Spacious studio with well equipped kitchenette (including fresh milk) and bathroom. Friendly hosts. Lyn recommended and booked us for dinner at the Pier Hotel. We enjoyed the food and the sunset. Close to town for food and shopping. Great selection at the New World supermarket a bit further. Easy access to whale watching, dolphin encounter, and seal watching. Convenient for...

Great, very friendly greeting and shown to our room, given the details on how it works tv and heating,...
