even though we stayed on the ground floor due to the earthquake, it was awesome. The rooms were clean and tidy and a big 10/10 for the showers. The spirit of the people of Kaikoura wasn't damped by the earthquake, in fact it heightened their love for their beautiful town. Well done! We will be back next year

Decided to spend New Year's eve in Kaikoura and had always wanted to stay here. My friend and I chose the "easy access room" that has a larger bathroom and heaps of space in the shower. It was a downstairs unit (105) which afforded the best view. Room has had a recent upgrade and we had no problems moving the...

Location of the motel is just across the street from Kaikoura beach (which is however not suitable for swimming, quite rocky). Clean rooms, enough space. Kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave and cooker. Very nice and pleasant owner. The only down side was no WiFi.

Looked around and took a room in this 40 year old 2-story motel. All was good but it is dated and not at all modern, especially the shower and its room. Nothing wrong, just tired. Studio for us that worked fine and we had our supper in the room with outstanding view of the bay and snow capped mountains as...

We had a studio unit upstairs. It was clean and had great views - great for a one night stay. The balcony was good for sitting out on but the plastic chairs were old, cracked and I was scared to sit on them in case they shattered. The sliding door to the balcony didn't lock properly and the decor in...

Stayed here for two nights, in a room with a double bed and a foldout couch. The units are compact and functional. The motel is constructed in the lockwood style, with a lot of exposed wood. Our room had all we needed with a good range of cooking gear, microwave, and two set hot plate. There is good off street...

While the room was quite dated, the views of the sea and mountains is amazing! In saying that, the room was very clean and tidy. The service we received was very friendly. It was great to be able to do the Kaikoura Peninsula walkway from the motel too!

Its right across the road from the water and walking distance to seal colony and wharf short drive into town..Its 30 minute drive to Ohau Waterfall Seal...

The view from this motel is stunning. The sea is just across the road, with the mountains as a backdrop. The units are parallel to the road, so get the sun all day and everyone gets a view. The motel is a bit out of town (approx 20 mins walk) so it feels more relaxed in my mind and it...
