Big rooms! A friend and I were traveling around the South Island with West Coast as one of our destinations. We had twin room. The room was huge! Alistair and Shirley were great hosts. Fruit cake upon arrival! Alistair helped us with directions and suggested places and things for us to visit and do. Also gave us directions - more...

We got a room here with about an hour's notice after the earthquake diverted us from our trip to Kaikoura, and we appreciated the warm and cosy roof over our heads so much! Alastair and Shirley were excellent hosts, and there were some really nice features like a sauna that guests could use for free. Breakfast was delicious, especially Shirley's...

We booked via booking.com. And did not read that they did not allow children under 12. Despite that they took us in with our 2.5 yr old daughter. Host Alister made our daughter feel at home from the very beginning. The lamb feeding, Sheep feeding, and goldfish feeding was enjoyed by all, especially our 2.5 year old. The breakfast was...

The Oaks is a great B&B if you are looking for a quiet night in a lovely environment. From the moment we arrived our hosts Shirley and Alastair made us feel welcome. Our room was of a good size with ensuite, and the guest amenities include a billiard room, tennis court, pool and spa. The home is just outside of...

What a pity I looked up this B&B on booking.com but have not reserved it through them, for I would really LOVE to leave my review on this B&B on their site as we'll. Upon arrival we have been greeted by Shirley and a second later by Alistair He immediately told his wife that he will take it from there,...

What a wonderful stay! This B&B is a beautiful and cozy farm house, located in a short drive away from the city and its restaurants and shops. The lovely hosts go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Everything is superb in this B&B: the super clean, beautiful and comfortable room, the modern bathroom and great shower, the delicious...

Loved staying at this manor house/lodge B&B. Alastair the proprietor greeted us warmly, showed us to our rooms and gave us some helpful hints for dinner. Breakfast was delightful in the reception area. Rooms were spacious, although one was with bath across the hall which wasn't a major inconvenience. Well worth the visit and stay. May be Alastair will take...
