Rosewood is well positioned in the High Street. It is clean and comfortable and ideally situated for getting into Greymouth itself. Stefan made us feel very welcome and the breakfast set us up for the rest of the day which was going to be a long drive to Picton to catch the ferry.

stefan runs a great house. room spacious and well-kept. there's a patio for wine in the evening. parakeets in a big cage are entertaining. stefan sent us to a great place for dinner (buccleugh's on high) and guided us to the jetties for a spectacular sunset. he cooks a fine breakfast. highly recommended.

We were 7 adults spending the night at this little and anonymous b&b in Greymouth. The keeper Stefan is German, which if you didn't notice the flag at the entrance would definitely notice as soon a you talk with him, sneaking German words into every sentence! Nice rooms and a lovely breakfast - all you could wish for!

Double room in an older, well maintained home with a comfortable bed, an ensuite and a nice aspect to garden. Very clean. Stefan was an affable host and provided a hearty breakfast. Accommodation in the town was tight and this provided reasonable value.

My wife and I arrived around 10 pm - no way to call ahead and let the owners know we would be late. We had difficulty in the dark finding hte house, but once there the owner answered the door and showed us the room. He did not offer to help my obivously physically impaired wife with her bags as...

Tea / coffee making only available downstairs and not in rooms. This is only minor as can take to rooms. Bottled water in rooms. Book the en-suite rooms. About 1 km out of town. The owner used to cater for first and business class on airlines, his breakfasts are of good standard.

We had the pleasure of staying only one night at Rosewood as we had to get to Christchurch to catch a plane. All modern facilities available, greatly appreciated the breakfast and the host was very obliging. Would love to return.

A very nice place with a great host. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Quiet, comfortable and close to a good restaurant too. Plumbing and ironing facilities are excellent (two important things when traveling with work).

Chosen for us as part of our tour. A lovely traditional kiwi house. Comfortable room with ensuite. Stefan is an excellent host. About a mile walk into town, for a choice of restuarants and bars. The continental breakfast was made special by the addition of freshly prepared fruit.
