This is an old hotel which needs updating but the room is ok if you don't expect too much. We had a queen bed and 1 single in the room. Bathrooms have been updated but the shower leaked.... The room also had some light bulbs missing. Main gripe is very limited on site parking so we had to park on...

Yes, it's a bit dated, but I think most places in Greymouth probably are! From what I could find vs cost, this was fine. I was in Room 204, also next to some noisy vents, but it didn't effect my sleep at all, I can't remember if they were even on when I was going to sleep. Had a little...

This place is in dire need of some renovation. We stayed in a double room on the ground floor and the walls were paper thin so we could hear everything going on around us, and vice versa presumably. The double bed felt like it was falling apart and sunk severely in to the middle which led to a very poor...

Avoid the external cabins, they are very old and feels dirty. Glad it was only one night and couldn't wait to get out of there. Cant understand how this part can be still called a 'hotel' where its clearly motel-esque. Buffet breakfast wasn't too bad for NZ standards. Overall the place reminded me of a horror movie.

Stayed here one night. Room was shabby. Window onto small balcony did not shut properly so draughty. Plugs broken and hanging off wall. Furniture non matching. Travelled with SAGA who said there was a mini-bar, but there wasn't. Very very old fashioned.

Excellent service - staff should be commended for going that extra mile. Had our meal in the bar but it came off the restaurant menu - best we have had in Nz so far (and we've been here a fortnight!). Rooms are a wee bit dated but are absolutely spotless. Big shout out to Brian the duty manager - the...

The staff make this hotel. The place needs some serious money spending on it. Very old fashioned and dark decor. Our room had view over the river and town and the weather didn't help from the fact that the place lived up to its name. Our bathroom had been refurbished and everything was clean. We ate in the bar due...

Easy to book, check in and out. Helpful staff. Tidy clean spacious room. Decor is a bit old but that's the only fault. Liked the wee balcony. Had some room service at 230 am and it was great. Excellent location and love the free parking. I would stay here again.

We chose this hotel only because it literally had the last available room in all of Greymouth. The lobby and the public areas have probably received a slab of paint and some love in the last ten years or so, but this is not true for the rooms, which have not seen an interior decorator for at least 40 years....

I was told this is the tallest hotel in Greymouth and can't complain much. This hotel is close to Countdown supermarket and Warehouse mall and don't expect a big supermarket but it has the basic we need. It has a small toilet with the basic like hair dryer. Do bring your room slipper if you are used to wearing one...
