We wanted a hotel service which was restricted in Greymouth. The Kingsgate is in dire need of a refurb! The daily servicing of the rooms was inconsistent and sometimes downright gross. When I book a hotel I expect a full hotel service.

I am pleased that you had a good stay. Accurate and objective feedback, even where contradictory, can help inform the actions of both potential customers and the hotel management. From the varying reviews it seems that it may be wise for future customers to specify a newer, or upgraded room, when making a booking. Additionally, the hotel could consider introducing a lower category of accommodation, say economy rooms, where updating is needed.
