We stay here quite frequently and just this last few days stayed again for 3 nights. I must admit the buildings are getting a little tired but have been informed by the owners that there are going to be improvements made this winter, great. The park has a large kitchen and an undercover BBQ area with tables etc. there is...

Nice people , warm welcome, it was raining, so we didn't stayed the night. The little house is small but for a night it's ok. Only bad thing , is the smelly bathroom. It's very moldy, they really need a renovation. If it's warm and the weater is nice, its not a very big problem, as you are outside most...

This has been one of the best campsites I've stayed in. The free 5gb of wifi is unheard of in NZ! The reception lady was very friendly and suggested thing to see and do. The pool was lovely on a hot day although there could have been a sun bed to use.. The showers and toilets were tired but did...

Was hoping for a camp site with sea views but it was not meant to be. Situated a couple of hundred meters from the beach. Have to leave the camp ground and walk along the road down to the surf club/ car park. The beach looks wild and don't think it's safe to swim esp kids. The camp ground itself...

The owners were so lovely and helpful. Showers needed a bit of a tidy up but other than that good place to stay. Nice kitchen and help yourself to the veggies they are growing on site. We only stayed 1 night

Friendly staff - provided us with another site when we asked to change due to group partying with beer and music in front of their cabin which obviously started hours ago - nothing I need the kids to take part in. The location near beach and playground is convenient, although nothing else around worth going in walking distance. The holiday...

Wanted a cheap base for an overnight stay in whanganui. Got a cabin, they only had one left so it slept 5 but was only $85 so a bargain. The cabin was a bit tired looking, but the sheets were very well laundered, clean and fresh which is always my main concern. Cabin had a main room, en-suite and another...

We stayed one night on a non powered camping site. Easy check in and plenty of space for us to camp. Great location, 2 minute walk to the beach. 5-10minute drive to main town. Plenty of cooking space, though you do need to rent cooking equipment if you do not have your own...this can be done for a small refundable...

Near the beach, but thought facilities were poor - shower block floors were quite dirty, didn't use them. Does have wifi access. Only stayed one night, wouldn't recommend. I've stayed at other parks that were far better.

We were in a caravan with many other around us.far too expensive for the site and the lights not going on in the lounge until 7pm made for an unpleasant get together. Needs a major makeover. staff were amazing. Also having to pay extra for BBQ,spa & sauna.

“We stayed in our motorhome, but saw inside units that were open for cleaning. Looks perfectly adequate and tidy. Good fish and chip shop opposite. The surrounding area housing might be fairly average, but you can't get much better value with reasonable rates, and good facilities.”
