My husband surprised me with a stay a the Nightingale Falls Farmstay our first night back to New Zealand. I was in awe of the property as soon as we drove up to the gates. We were welcomed by Scott and given a history of their land. There is an amazing walking trail that runs through their property that can... More

HI Guys!!! Thanks you so much for your review of Shackwell Bush Hut. We are thrilled that you had such an enjoyable time. It really is a unique location and with the glorified camping in Shackwell you really made the most of the nature and surroundings. It was wonderful to meet you guys! We are a group of 4 friends on a girls' weekend away, and stayed at Nightingale Falls Farmstay for 2 nights in the Twinkingham Cottage. We were warmly welcomed by Scott and driven up to the Farmstay, enjoying the sights of the farm and the view over the Thames Estuary and forest. The cottage was charming and we were kept... More

Whilst the pictures and description are great they don't do the reality justice. This really is a little slice of off the beaten track paradise on top of a mountain with the ocean in front and bush all around. The cottages are cosy with wood-fired stoves, comfy beds and lots of fantastic little details and the family couldn't be more... More

My wife and I decided to change our plans to fit in a stay here. We weren't disappointed! The grounds are spectacular. The farm sits on top of a hill, surrounded by bush. There are a few cleared areas to explore, decent walks on the premises, and even tramping opportunities in the back country. We saw a rainbow each day... More

We are Germans, so please excuse any language faults. We experienced a wonderful service with welcome tea, professional help to find the farm and with the selection of meals. We lived in a lovely annex for our own. There was a deck on two sides, plenty of room, clean conditions and comfortable beds. We liked much the guided farm tour... More
