Stayed here for 2 nights in December 2014. Lovely quiet rural location just a 5 minute drive from Thames. Friendly welcome from hosts Bruz and Shona. The accomodation was clean and very comfortable - small upstairs room with ensuite and shared kitchenette and lounge downstairs. Good wifi. Beautiful gardens. Highly recommended.

We spent a lovely night in the 'barn' before heading off on the Hauraki Rail Trail. The accommodation suited our needs brilliantly, and Bruz and Shona were very hospitable. The homemade treats and breakfast were especially appreciated. Would certainly stay again.

This bed and breakfast is handy to Thames but in the quiet hills so very peaceful and pleasant. Accommodation was equally pleasant. Nothing flash but had everything you need. Bedroom is upstairs with the ensuite, and a large lounge/kitchen/dining area on the ground floor. Nice hosts.

We enjoyed 2 wonderful days/nights at the Barn and would return in a heartbeat to enjoy both the lovely accommodation and the wonderful warmth and hospitality of our hosts Bruz and Shona. Our room was meticulous in its presentation and the bed so comfortable ensuring a blissful night's sleep. What adds to the excellent accommodation is the location of the...

We have been here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. We are a family of 4 persons and there was plenty of space for all of us. The breakfast each morning was absolutly delicous and due to the fact we have been here in winter, our friendly and helpful host prepared us a warm living room after...

The 4 of us had only one night here, gloomy weather prior to our hike the next day, so rather than go into Thames for dinner, ordered takeaways from the local Italian restaurant - excellent value. Would love to come back and stay at the Barns in spring/summer to enjoy the beautiful garden and bbq area.

We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't have felt more welcome. The owners gave us the perfect amount of friendliness and privacy. The price was $145 - about right - and the room was very comfortable. It did have a sloped ceiling which we banged our heads on a few times, so if your quite tall you might find...

We arrived late to our converted barn. The 2 large, comfortable en-suite double bedrooms were upstairs - and the stairs were not too steep for our old limbs! The lounge room and kitchen below were superbly fitted out, and our hosts Shona and Bruz had left us a basket of fresh eggs, home made jam and bread, and fresh butter...

Found this spot through NZ's Grab one. It's listed as a "Barn" but the accommodation is anything but barn like. More shaped like a quonset hut but the interior of the building was very up to date with a full kitchen, comfortable seating in the living area and dining area. Two full bathrooms, one for each bedroom which makes it...
