Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We decided to stay an extra night and were able to move to a different room so we didn't have to check out and then check in the next day. Although the decor was not modern the room was clean and very comfortable and totally suited our needs. We accidentally locked ourselves out if our room after reception had closed but this was sorted very quickly and was not treated as an inconvenience. The location of the hotel is great, next to the Old Settlement within easy walking distance of the centre of town with plenty of eateries nearby. There is also a courtyard with well equipped barbecue facilities. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Margaret River.

One of the only places in the area that offer one-night accommodation which is what I needed. The accommodation is set within neat and lovely looking gardens straight off the highway. The location is great you can walk right into the township for dinner, shopping etc.

Rooms were neat and clean but rather basic and dated, and it appears the rooms all face onto a communal courtyard where you can hear people coming and going, chatting etc. Be warned since you are near the highway it can get loud with traffic during the day.

We stayed 3 nights midweek recently and very much enjoyed our stay. We had a queen courtyard room and loved that we had a nice balcony at the rear but also access to the courtyard and the BBQ and old metters wood fire, which we lit up and enjoyed sitting in front of in the evening as it got cold. Road noise in this room (#5) was not an issue and I slept well as a light sleeper. We did not have the fully self contained room but it had a good size fridge, microwave, basic crockery, toaster and coffee/tea facilities. The bed was comfy, the heater/aircon worked a treat and the bathroom was very adequate. I loved the gardens, which were stunning and the accessibility to the shops and main street (despite it still being dug up). We were able to walk to numerous places to eat and shop. (Many were still closed due to COV -19). Adamsons is next door to The Hairy Marron for a morning cappucino and a walk along the river path. The staff were also wonderfully helpful and friendly.
It might get a bit noisy during busy times when all rooms are in use especially if people forget that sound travels easily. Recommended as a nice place to stay in Margaret River.

Adamsons Riverside Accommodation is conveniently placed for walking into Margaret River and for exploring the area by car. However, it is close to the busy road and some rooms get traffic noise. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. The gardens are full of flowers and are well established.

The whole apartment smelled like a stale ashtray. The excuse from management was that a couple was stranded there during COVID quarantine for several months who kept smoking and they had the carpets cleaned but the smell was persistent so they put in some scented oils. Wholly inadequate response and the first time ever we had to cancel a stay after one night because the air was too disgusting. At least warn the people booking that the rooms are smoke damaged so they can find an alternative rather having to return to Perth 3 days early. Thank you very much for ruining the only family weekend off we managed to align our schedules for. Thoroughly disgusted.

“Riverside” is a bit of an exaggeration, although the river was close by with some nice walks through the forest. Our “executive” (not sure why) double room had a large balcony with rattan chairs and stairs leading down to a pretty garden (shame about the busy road immediately beyond). The room was very well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the rest, including a barbecue in the communal courtyard which the rooms surround. The crockery was unmatched, as was the cutlery that came in a broken plastic basket. The mugs had rings and stains that we couldn’t scrub off. The curtains were grubby at hand level. The bathroom was a strange mix of ancient and modern. The basin, cupboard underneath and surround and toilet looked clean and modern, but the shower cubicle was aged, had small areas of rust/grime and could do with at the very least resealing fully around the tray. The floor tiles undulated slightly all over and although surface-clean had patches of ground-in grime. The extractor fan rattled noisily. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning easy to operate and effective.

I stayed for 4 nights in January, right at the peak of the high season. But everything was relaxed, calm, and friendly.

Wonderful location by the river and the old settlement. Right next to the main road but I didn’t find this to be a noise issue at night.

I loved the garden at the front, accessible from my verandah. Various ducks were always there and I loved the native birdsong from the forest area close by. I never feel I’ve arrived in Australia until I hear kookaburras, and I had the pleasure of hearing them often here.

To be honest, for the price, I was expecting a run down kind of a place, but this is far better and a real gem. What I’m saying is that they could double their prices and it would still be good value.

Would I come again? All the time if I had the happiness of living close by. Unfortunately I live in Surrey, UK.

Adamsons Riverside is not particularly bad but was expecting a more country-style feel to the place.

The modern accommodation seems to be very dated and rundown.
The lounge was tired and covered in human usage (grease). The expensive TCL TV (sarcasm), couldn’t seem to lock into a channel very well… and it was a death-defying challenge to get in/out of the bath/shower without a rail and not breaking a hip. The mixture of human waste smell mixed with the gas hot water service exhaust made for an interesting (also unwarranted) ambience.
The carpark (uncovered) is very small.

Overall… not bad…. but could do better.

What an amazing location! The reception area was lovely with views to the bbq area with its covered atrium feel. The front gardens were gorgeous and seeing the local ducks being fed grain was awesome. The room was lovely, neat and clean. We loved the spa and used it often. Upgrading to a spa room is definitely worth it. Being on the main road you would think it would be noisy but it was actually pretty quiet. We loved our stay and can’t recommend Adamson’s Riverside Accommodation highly enough.

The accomodation is dated and needs some love! The bed was past it’s use by date and overall cleanliness of the room left a bit to be desired.

On a positive note the location is great and it’s a short stroll to town where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shopping etc.

Based on our recent experience I’d be looking to stay elsewhere next time we visit Margaret River.

There is a huge Jacuzzi bath for the 2 bedroom apartment I stayed in previously. The kitchen is well equipped for simple cooking. However, I'm not too sure if the queen room you have booked is of the same setup. You might need to check with the manager of the apartment. Cheers SY
