I couldn't find any reviews on Trip Advisor, so almost didn't book it but am glad I did because we would have missed out on a fantastic last two nights in Western Australia.
The B&B is located just a short 5 minute walk from the centre of Margaret River. Across the road is a forest of tall trees, which look stunning.
The Garden Room is located at the front of the property, overlooking the forest. The Studio Suite which we stayed in, is located at the rear of the property next to a pretty garden of natives and citrus trees that was filled with tweeting little birds when we awoke in the mornings.
Our first impression of the property was that it was welcoming and well cared for. The owners have gone with a Mediterranian feel, which complements the Margaret River food and wine district. The kitchen can be used for self-catering. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, and comes with a selection of DVDs to watch during your stay.
The hosts at this B&B are fantastic. They were welcoming and friendly, but also gave us our privacy. We were even able to use the washing machine during our stay, which was fantastic after traveling for 8 or 9 days.
This is an excellent property.
Will we be back? Yes!
Also the breakfast could have some improvements: a half eaten pot of jam is not really hygienic...though we did get a new butter. The yogurt was yummy....and the bread....and the fresh plunger coffee....but for the rest there was not a lot of effort put in to breakfast. I feel that a better use of the fabulous local produce would have improved things drastically for the money we paid.
Also, the room was quite dusty...not great for someone with a dust allergy.
Our host was friendly and welcoming Thank you
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but will not be picking this B and B again

Steve and Meg made you feel so at home. We had free range eggs in the fridge, lovely bread, cereals, juice, proper coffee and a plunger and tastiest yoghurt.
The towels were proper big ones and rest of linen was of good quality.
This attention to detail in the quality of everything was really appreciated.
Thanks for a great stay.
We were warmly welcomed by Steve, who was expecting us and showed us through our room.
He is very relaxed and will leave you be unless you need anything.
The room was comfortable, warm and well set-up. We had everything we needed for the weekend including breakfast, games, dvds, tea and coffee and a mini kitchen.
This is a great place to go if you want a comfortable base for a busy weekend.
The adjacent forest is stunning, you can walk right down to the river and have a good explore.
Best of all, we could bring our dog with us to enjoy a mini-getaway.
Thank you Steve and Meg, for your hospitality.
The owners, Meg and Steve, are very accommodating and helpful.
They can provide helpful tips about places to walk, to see, to eat and drink.
The accomodation itself, in the Garden Room, was small but exactly the right size for a greyhound and a couple. The bathroom is well sized with a large shower that had great pressure and heat.
The room had a fridge and was stocked with juice, milk and various breakfast items that were all included with the room.
The bed was comfy and has a beautiful view of the garden and then of the forest across the street which has a lovely path for a dog walk to the river.
I would highly recommend this for couples or solo travellers looking for a homey and private place to lay their heads.
You feel like your way out of town with the view, but really you're only a short walk, and even shorter drive, away from town.
I highly recommend it for a quick retreat!
