We booked Margarets Beach Resort when booking our trip to Australia. We drove down from Perth and were due to spend 6 days. We had booked a 2 bed apartment. On arrival we were more than pleased. The apartment was a really good size and equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were light and bright and extremely comfy and, unlike some we have stayed in, had ample storage so it was great to fully unpack. The accommodation is only a 5min walk from a glorious beach and on site there is a really good pub. The pool area was well looked after and was a great place to stop off at on returning from the beach. We were due to leave after 6 days and fly to Port Douglas, however, due to Cyclone Jasper making land, that second leg of our trip was cancelled. We thought we would be left stranded. However, the reception staff at the resort could not have been more helpful. They arranged for us to extend our stay, assisted us in extending our car rental and really helped put our minds at rest in what was a difficult time. We tend to visit Aus every 4-5 yrs and if staying in Margaret River again, would have no hesitation in returning to this resort.

We booked a 2 bed apartment initially between the 5th -11th Dec 2033. I say initially as due to Cyclone Jasper hitting Port Douglas, which should've been our next stop, we had to extend our stay at the apartment for an extra 4 days. Just want to thank the reception staff for all their help during our hour of need, without them we would've been homeless for that period of time. The apartment itself was fantastic, really well equipped, clean and felt like home from home. The resort is ideally situated just 500mts from the beach and the onsite Pub was a great place to chill out. Our apartment overlooked the car park, which wasn't any problem, and unlike some reviews, we never heard any latenight noise during our stay. The resort can also book local winery tours from reception. The only 'must have' has to be a car, otherwise you are stuffed. This was our first visit to WA, and when we return we would have no hesitation booking this resort again.

This whole place desperately needs a renovation to charge the prices we paid. We just stayed at the Hilton in Perth for half the price. Calling it a ‘Resort’ is a stretch. Our apartment was clean enough in terms of sheets, floor, towels but look up and there’s spiders, webs, thick dust on fan in the bedroom. Staff were friendly though.
The only 5 star thing about this place is the location. We loved walking over to the beach and spending a day there. Also the White Elephant Cafe was so delicious, it’s a must if you stay here. Show your room key and they have a cut-down brekky menu (3 options) with tea/coffee for about $16 per person. You need to go to the counter to ask for that menu.
Overall we wouldn’t return and can’t recommend it.

Hi Zhen, As you may be aware spider webs form very quickly, your room was cleaned and inspected on the day of arrival. However, we have had strong winds and humid days which is when spiders become active building webs, they look like they are thick with dust, however as said previously winds whip the dust into the air.

The bathrooms are a nightmare. The bath is very high to get into - you have to sit at the end of the bath and lift and swivel your legs over the side of the bath to then stand up to shower. After that effort the shower head is at chest height for most people. To start the shower first - which is a good idea - you have to reach around the shower screen on tip toes to turn the taps on. The exhaust fan didn't work either. The walkway needs handles to grip where the stairs are.

We stayed here for 2 nights, albeit on a long weekend, but with the prices hiked up it was way too expensive for the quality of accommodation. The townhouse had spider webs, felt unclean and despite being advertised as airconditioned the bedrooms downstairs did not have any airconditioning - which was needed at the end of summer, it was uncomfortable sleeping. My hubby looked under the couch cushions - don't do it, it's quite offputting, though he did find some spare change... The fan in one bedroom was very noisy and it was so hard to get in and out of the spa/shower! Having the cafe/bar on site was the biggest bonus, but also noisy when trying to enjoy a quiet drink on the balcony, definitely not for those wanting to relax with loud families playing cricket outside metres from where you're sitting and locals/visitors amping up the party poolside. Good location, but hoped to be closer to the beach from the pictures on the website, couldn't even hear the ocean at night. Unfortunately we won't be back, we expected more for this price.

Just finished a seven night stay here as we walked the Cape to Cape Track. Very clean accommodations with everything we needed. We very much appreciated the extra towels and laundry detergent that we needed after our daily walks! A Nespresso coffee machine would be welcome but that would be icing on the cake.

The resort itself could be lovely if money was spent on it but unfortunately looks like a run down motel. 2 playgrounds one overlooking the restaurant which is fantastic for kids or while your having a bite. The second playground is in dire need of repair with faulty swings and play equipment. The pool was freezing in September which we knew it would be but we had some 20+ degree days would have been nice to have the heater on during peak school holidays period. Tiles around the pool are dangerous our daughter went to jump in and the tile lifted, upon checking several others faulty also. The sauna was full of graffiti and not operational. Our room was filthy and stunk of stale cigarette smoke. Countless cobwebs and spiders. The blind was faulty, the spa bath was dirty and had hair in it. Floors not properly cleaned. The outside deck was full on sand and cobwebs, we had to look for a broom to sweep it so we could sit out. We discovered we had no hand towel or bath mat which was dangerous trying to get out of a deep spa onto tiles with wet feet. The shower curtain had mould all over it, it needs to be thrown out. We asked for a mat which was delivered while we were out but housekeeping left our door unlocked much to our surprise after being out all day. Went to have a wine and the glass was chipped and needs to be thrown out. Just as well we didn’t need the ceiling fan on as it was covered in dust and was above the bed. Not to mention the cobweb hanging overhead. The walls are paper thin so didn’t have a relaxing sleep. The staff all seem like backpackers who can’t be bothered. The resort needs money spent on it. Charging peak prices for motel standard rooms is robbery. I understand the staff shortage but to still charge nearly $300 a night for poor standard rooms isn’t acceptable.

A family of 4 adults arrived to find this holiday village made up of Chalets and Town Houses right on the beach between sand dunes within a few hundred yards of the sea. The resort is about 6 miles from Margaret River itself. We arrived at about 5.15pm after the drive down from Perth, Check in was smooth and simple. We were given our keys and shown to our 2 bedroom town house, and were reminded that it’s happy hour between 5-6pm, so dropped our bags and made straight to the bar. We had our first meal from the resort bar outside on the public patio, the menu was reasonably priced with large portion sizes and good food. The house we had pre-booked was a large 2 storey town house and was very adequate, the bedrooms were provided with ceiling fans to keep cool. Both bedrooms had Jacuzzi baths with showers above. The kitchen was fitted out with all you need for self catering including Cooker, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, Washer and Dryer. Tea, Coffee and Milk was provided on arrival. The lounge area was spacious and comfortable with a 60in TV. The upper living rooms had an air conditioning unit to keep you cool. The resort had its own shop, bar and restaurant and swimming pool for you convenience. The local beaches are superb with fine white sand, you will find it a surfers paradise. For our 3 night stay the resort provided everything we required so no complaints. I would thoroughly recommend Margaret’s Beach Resort, it’s location is brilliant if you are touring the Margaret River region.

We had 3 nights here during horrendous winds, we requested and with absolutely no problem were given a ground floor room 2nd day which was much quieter. Rooms were immaculate and very well equipped and modern. Staff were fabulous and we would certainly stay again. We actually went to a luxury lodge the next 2 nights and preferred Margarets beach for a quarter of the price of the lodge.

This is more like an oversized motel than a resort. The room was very basic - bed, kitchenette, dining table, washing machine and dryer. No lounges or comfortable chairs to sit on. No luggage stand. Three sachets of Bushells instant coffee and 3 no name tea bags. Minimal amounts of low quality personal hygiene products. Shower over the bath which has very high sides and difficult to use. The rooms are not serviced each day. The pool has definitely seen better days. This place lacks anything that would make it a resort.

There are lots of activities all around the area, just some things we love to do are
The berry farm a little bit of a drive, great for lunch and afternoon teas it is set in a cottage environment , also they are a local supplier of jam etc wife's favourite
Bakeries will we only go to Cowaramup on the way though or if the wife is desperate along trip to Augusta bakery for a special treat. Warning it's a long trip but sneak in a visit to Jewel cave check tour times and best to book may the trip worth while.
The maze south of Margaret river on the way to berry farm
Lots of places to eat out. Our favourite is the Margaret tavern best to book a table maybe OK in February
Hope I have been of some assistance
