My girlfriend and I stayed here as part of a road trip through WA. We arrived at 10am so we could make a winery tour due to pick us up at 11am. We were able to park in the carpark out the front of the rooms, which was much better than on the street. My girlfriend advised the concierge we were parked there and would be pack to check in later that afternoon after the winery tour. This was no problem and the concierge remembered my girlfriend's name when we returned. We have a 4wd with lots of gear in the back and everything was secure during the day and overnight. We were allocated "The Cabin" which was an excellent room for a couple, with an amazing balcony with lots of rustic furnishings and greenery. We were within a short walk of many different bars and eateries, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone either travelling through or staying in MR longer. The price was also very reasonable.

We stayed in the forest view suite and found the room large and good value for money. The room can be a bit loud due to traffic and restaurant noise however nothing can be done about that. The room was exactly as described when we booked it and we enjoyed our stay. Would happily stay again.

We stayed at the Bridgefield Guest House in the Merlot room for 3 nights and were really happy with our decision. The room was cosy and the common area was nicely furnished and appointed, we spent plenty of time in there in front of the fire. Its location was handy to restaurants and walking trails. For the price we paid it proved to be money well spent, would happily stay theer again.

Stayed at this guess house for a night, room was clean and reasonable value for money. Bathroom was small, bed only a double but comfortable. However there was a strange purple mark on a bath towell which we were hoping was washing detergent.
However, this guest house is let down by it's staff. Tried to make a booking in the restaurant and found the front of house gentleman rather rude and unaccommodating, stated they were booked out even through we walked past twice and saw spare tables at different times of the night. Went to check out the following morning and stood waiting for at least 10 minutes whilst the front office gentleman chatted on the phone never acknowledging us once. We ended up leaving the key in the drop box, never once did he try call us back in the office or make eye contact with us. Very disappointing and wouldn't stay there again due to the bad experience with staff.

Upon first arrival we were pleased with the charm of the place until we went into our room.
Considering it is winter and it was raining and cold, there was no remote for the air conditioning. I rang the after hours number to be told that the previous guest took it and it wasn't his problem.
After returning to our room later that night we discovered that the bathroom tap constantly drips, so was like having water torture all night.
This morning get into the shower to discover mold on the walls and ceiling.
Thankfully we were only spending one night. Upon check out I mentioned the issues to the person behind the desk only to be told that the remote has been missing for some time and when asked why are you still renting out the room I got told "where else are they going to go". He also did not seem bothered that there is a mold issue in the bathroom, which by the amount there it has also been growing for some time.

To be at the centre of the town you are visiting and within walking distance of many places you will want to visit is the aim of many savvy tourists. That’s why I picked a night at Bridgerfield Guest House when on a short visit to Margaret River.
I was very happy with the location, the free off street parking and the decor.
The bed was very comfy and had an easy to use electric blanket and the air conditioning was controlled in the room. Plenty of pillows and towels and tissues.
A bit of noise from the restaurant music above my room but it didn’t last long.
TV was in a shared lounge and there was also provided all needed to light a fire on a cold night.

We were absolutely spoilt at Bridgefield Guest House. Upgraded to the ‘Merlot Room’ (which is quite small), we were compensated by having a large living area, decked out with Chesterfield couches and a great little kitchenette with stove, oven, microwave and mini fridge.
The ambience of Bridgefield is second to none and the feeling of being in such a historic building was sublime.
Good old fashioned ‘drapes with pelmets’ served to enhance our experience, let alone the exquisite timber finishings.
This place was so good, I could barely wait to get back to it after a day of sightseeing around the region of Margaret River.
Do yourself a favour - stay here!

Great location with a short walk to the bakery, restaurants and opposite walking tracks for a morning run or walk. Quaint decor, you'll feel your walking into the 1930's with dark panelling and colours. There are two restaurants attached with a fabulous menu. Unfortunately the odour of deep fry oil permeates into the lounge and hallways, but not your room. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room. Lovely ensuite.

I was looking forward to staying here because I love quirky hotels. It’s been a terrible stay, however, due to the noise. Once the restaurants are open (yes restaurants - there are two in the building) the noise is relentless. The noise and music from the two compete with each other and as one is below and one to the side it feels like you are trapped in a sound tunnel.

The courtyard offers no respite because it has two air conditioning units that clunk away. And whenever neighbours use their taps or toilet, the plumbing clunks away too.

If there was anywhere left to stay in MR I would have left after the first night. This is by far the noisiest hotel / guest house I have stayed at (even including my backpacker days!)

The beautiful location, the heritage-listed accommodation (with all the modern features), and the warmest service.

It's located within walking distance of the center of town and the mountain bike trails are next door.

Thank you for an unforgettable stay.
