Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Breathing taking experience. Treated my Husband and I like royalty. Spectacular views of the grounds while having breakfast. Manor staff were fantastic, friendly. Nothing was a trouble and happy to help with bookings for trips if needed. It’s been a long time that we have felt like staff wanted you to have a wonderful, magical time away.

This place was simply beautiful. Stayed in a room in the wing which had a balcony overlooking the grounds with its beautiful gardens and trees. Parrots feeding late afternoon was magic to watch. The room itself was gorgeous with everything you need or want and very tastefully furnished. Breakfast was faultless with great menu of delicious food and drinks. The staff were all so lovely and helpful and nothing was a bother. I cannot find fault with anything at this place. Was truly a very memorable stay and would definitely return if over this way in future. Thank you to ALL who work at this Manor you should be very proud of yourselves. Angela and Corey

Wonderful spot, beautifully appointed room, delicious breakfast. BBQ hamper (you supply your own food) was so good we did it twice. Staff very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We hope to stay again. Highly recommend Hamelin Bay Beach for wadding with wild marine life. A highlight.

The room was outstanding. Clean and large with everything you could possibly need and more. The service was impeccable and the staff bent over backwards to do anything they could to help. A great place to relax or use as a base to tour around the Margaret River region

5/5 an hour ago on Google Many thanks to the owners and staff at Basildene for our wonderful and relaxing 2 night stay at your well presented and preserved heritage property. We enjoyed several laps of the beautiful gardens together with a welcome swim in the pool. Special mention needs to be made of the exquisite breakfast in the conservatory. Best ever with a selection fresh fruits and main courses which set us up for each of our days! Also a special thank you for the room upgrade which was hugely appreciated and enjoyed. The reception and kitchen staff were easily and quickly engaged in a natural, fun and relaxed manner so thank you all for that. Graham and Liz

So tranquil and relaxing! Beautiful continental and cooked breakfasts. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the outlook from the conservatory, to sit and enjoy breakfast or a cuppa and look out at the beautiful grounds, and also loved the shaded outdoor areas to sit and read or just enjoy the scenery. The wisteria-covered BBQ area was so gorgeous, and the pool area was also awesome (although pool temperature quite ‘refreshing’)! Such an amazing place, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere - we definitely will be back!

Such a wonderful place with so much beauty in the rooms, foyer, grounds and everywhere. The staff were amazing and nothing is too much. Always helpful and even bought us diary free cookies when we made known our allergies. They looked after us so well. Thank you. We love everything about Basildene. Rooms were so clean, new and fresh. Tasteful decor all over. Highly recommended.
