Basildene is always a delight. The rooms are beautiful, the service friendly and helpful, the gardens lush and colourful. Breakfast in the conservatory is a treat, as is being sent home with two fresh scones, butter and homemade jam.

This is a delightful hidden gem, it's a really nice quiet getaway and well positioned for visiting around Margaret River. The staff were so helpful, think my only gripe was the pool heating was switched off for COVID, but other than that brilliant.

My husband and I, together with our daughter and son-in-law stayed at Basildene Manor for 2 nights. As members of the Accor Vacation Club, this was our first stay at this property. From the moment of our arrival the experience was excellent. The staff were welcoming, courteous and helpful. This historic Manor is in a secluded area of Margaret River and is perfect for that quiet short break in an adults-only environment. As a well-travelled mature age couple we cannot rate it too highly for its quiet charm and elegance. Our room (“Riesling”) on the ground floor was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean with a private courtyard. The room was well equipped with all necessities, including crockery and cutlery. A delicious a la carte breakfast is served in the Conservatory overlooking the manicured lawn and gardens. We especially enjoyed the evenings relaxing by the log fire with a glass of wine. The hot scones beautifully packed for us to enjoy on our journey home was a special touch and much appreciated. Basildene Manor at Margaret River is a delightful 5 star resort and we have already booked our next stay there.

My husband and I love Margaret River and this was our first stay at Basildene- we joined our parents who are members of the Accor Vacation Club. As soon as we pulled into the drive, we were excited! Basildene makes a fabulous first impression - picture postcard perfect Manor House and Gardens- we couldn’t wait to get inside! The main building is gorgeous and character filled and the reception staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room ‘Pinot’ was huge, spotlessly clean, quiet, bright and tastefully decorated. We loved our balcony with a view of sheep grazing in their paddock. After hard days of wine tasting, long lunches and beautiful scenery, the four of us spent lovely evenings in front of the fire in the lounge. For this, we made sure we had plenty of Margaret River wine, cheese, olives etc. The staff were so obliging, providing us with ice buckets and tableware to set us up. Blissful! Our parents travelled extensively before their wings were clipped by the current restrictions. It was so wonderful to see them enjoy themselves- they even joked that Basildene reminded them of being aboard the Azamara cruise ship! It is a perfect place to relax in 5 star luxury with all the comforts of a country home. Loved it. We’ve already booked another stay and we’re looking forward to it already!
