Detailed Reviews
Stayed in 2 bedroom room which was clean and comfortable. Overall a nice experience and the staff and management were friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was nice and the breakfasts and tapas dinners were delicious. We had a 2 night stay and on our return from a wine tour on the second day (after 5:30pm) we found our room had not been cleaned - reception advised that cleaning staff had left for the day and gave us fresh towels, soaps and tea and coffee etc. She was very apologetic....on checkout the next day she advised us that the manager had been informed and he had approved a $80 discount on our bill. We were therefore pleased with their response to the situation. The hotel is a little bit far from restaurants and shops but the taxi service is adequate. Seems a good place for kids, nice pool, playground, putt putt golf and giant outdoor chess set.

A delightful weekend Staycation!
We had a surprisingly wonderful two night stay at this lovely hotel for the first time.
We had a baby girl with us and felt it was a family friendly venue with the playground, lake, pool and mini golf. The pool was not heated so we didn’t dip in.
Cynthia and Marika from reservation were efficient and delightful during my initial query prior to booking, and their follow up emails were prompt and helpful. Check in and out was also a breeze.
It was $Aud220 a night because of peak period but we felt it was well worth it!
Our rates include free hot and cold buffet breakfast each day, and the western style selection was sufficient and topped up regularly by efficient staff. The restaurant was big enough to accommodate all guests during brekky 8-10am weekend without feeling crammed.
Our triple room was clean and cosy with a bonus of free mini bar during our stay (non alcoholic). There was also a microwave and cutleries for our convenient too, and a self catering area outside too if required.
There was also an option to Go Green and get a $10 voucher for each night that we forego the room cleaning service during our stay.
The location is very central to the town center, only a short 3 min drive or 20 min walk away.
We left very contented and will be back again in the future.

We stayed here for 2 nights in December, i was expecting it to be not great based on reviews and the $115 a night we paid via a groupon deal. We stayed in the cheapest room, a Queen room. Our deal included breakfast daily, a $25 voucher toward there Willow restaurant, a cocktail each and a mini bar ( yep $115 a night)
The room had a Queen bed which was comfortable ( were not massive people though) , a small fridge, 2 chairs, kettle and tea/coffee. The room was immaculately clean and i am fussy, There is a small area you can sit outside and for smokers there are ashtrays. An absolute added bonus is that they let you have access to a kitchen, you can take cutlery, plates etc back to your room. There is use of a microwave and there are BBQs in property. The pool was great, there was Bocce and chess games.
A mini bar was included this included 6 cans of soft drink, a couple bottles of water and 2 packets of chips
The cocktail was charged at $15 in the bar but was free on this deal, hubby had an espresso martini, myself an aperol spritz both were certainly not watered down and were lovey.
Breakfast buffet was hot and cold food and great
We had dinner in the restaurant one night we recommend highly the scallops, lamb cutlets and pork belly ( we had 4 tapas between us and a side of garlic bread this was heaps ( again we are not massive people). the meal was truly lovely and the service in the restaurant exemplary.
The front office staff were friendly ( including the man that people seem to say negative about on here :-)).
Washing machine $2 a load ! bargain.
Can walk to the main area of Margaret Beach
We were at the Hilton Perth prior and are now at the Pullman Bunker Bay and wonder why we are paying $300 a night here when you can get the same if not more for much less.
Well done Stay Margaret River.
Oh also they are ready for Covid !! Nowhere else in WA seem to be.. they made us put dirty pens in separate containers and to check in.

Stay Margaret River was a great base for our explorations within Margaret river and Augusta. The setting amongst the gum trees was tranquil, matching the relaxed vibe of the hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly. The room although it was a double bed provided more than enough size for us to relax after days out exploring and wine tasting. This location is close to many of them. The bathroom is large and two people could enjoy it. The breakfast buffet style had all the usuals you expect both hot and cold. Standard buffet fare but satisfying. The restaurant which has the name Grill in the title let the hotel down, I sadly have to say. Great for breakfast, but it did not satisfy at all. We ate here only one night. Not a fan of feeling like I’m in an Retirement dining room, where I have to go and get my own plate and cutlery. They did not offer mains but instead had to order tapas. This was not tapas no Spanish food at all. My partner ordered a steak, it came chopped up in a bowl. Nothing showcased fresh quality ingredients that margret river is famous for. I would of happily preferred to have paid more money to be served decent pub food than that tripe. Proper sized portion of chicken parmigiana, fish and chips, pizza under $30 is what they should be offering for a pub restaurant. If your gonna call it Willow grill, your food should live up to the name
Gordon Ramsey needs to come here for one of his shows and tell them how to do a restaurant. It felt like an RSL club
Please stay here it’s good and enjoyable, value for money, just don’t have dinner here until they realise why they have 4* instead of 4.6*. People have been to generous with ratings on google.

We enjoyed a 2 night break before the start of a new term. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were perfectly adequate, a little dark and not very big, but very clean. Complimentary mini bar consisted of a couple of little bags of chips, water, some cans of cool drink. Pefect. Lovely also to have a biscuit to go with a cup of tea. There are tissues in the room and toiletries. Also a hair dryer and an iron. The TV was ok but not all channels were working. Outside the surroundings are nicely kept and very peaceful. There is a nice pool, big chess set and laundry is reasonably priced. You will need some coins.
We ate at the restaurant the first night but probably wouldn't again. Tapas style, and nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. 8 meatballs for $16 is a bit steep. Felt a little ripped off as we only had 3 tapas dishes 1 side, a soft drink and a beer, 2 waffles and it was over $90. We got a $10 discount as we declined to have our room serviced the next day, but even then was expensive for what it was. We had breakfast included however and that was excellent value. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

Recently stayed here with a large group over the long weekend.
Room keys were prepared prior to arrival, which made things much easier. Justin came out and welcomed the coach, ensuring all was in order. Porterage was available to those who required it both on arrival and departure.
Rooms are spacious and clean. The first round of items in the mini-bar are complimentary, which is great! You are only charged if you request anything to be re-filled.
Had dinner one evening at the onsite restaurant. Definitely recommend ordering a few different things as it is a tapas/share plate style.
The hotel was a little far from town for some people to walk, however I really think it is only an issue at night (it's quite dark, we used a phone torch in the end). The hotel does have a taxi available.
Thanks Justin and team.

We stayed for two nights at this motel which is a one and a half kilometre walk from the town centre. Importantly our room though a little small was clean and well presented with good bathroom facilities and easily fitted our needs as a base with breakfast facilities. The room had a coffee and tea service as well as a fridge bar. The television if you needed it was a little sparse in its choice of channels though it has to be said the Margaret river region is fairly remote. The staff at the front desk were tentative and thoroughly informed us of the services available. We used the bar lounge to play cards and take drinks in the pleasant and popular characterful room. after a hearty breakfast we travelled the region to sightsee the southwestern corner of WA. We dined in the town.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.
We used a deal on Groupon which included breakfast each morning and a late checkout. The Restaurant we also dined there at night. The food was delicious, the service outstanding and as it was cold the log fire kept everyone warm. Would highly recommend this great venue to stay at. Will certainly return again.

We arrived at Hotel but got told to go round to side window and wait. After 10 minutes a roughly dressed man met us at window gave us map of hotel and drew a line to where room was. When got to room found that there was no walkin shower which we needed as in older age group, was over the bath shower quite high. Asked to man for a room with walkin shower but would be a downgradedroom and wouldnt give a credit difference. We decided to stay in first room, which ended up being comfortable with ta, coffee etc and also microwave. The upside was the breakfast plentiful options withe great breakfast staff to assist. Overall a nice place to stay. We later found out that the man who was very rude and unhelpful was actually the Owner/Manager. We have travelled a lot over the year but have never had such a rude welcome.

We came down Friday and check in was easy- we grabbed our key from the lock box. Finding the room in the dark was a bit of a challenge especially as the car park place highlighted was all full.
Room was clean, everything worked- they were quite noisey tho. Could hear all the doors opening and shutting in the area and everyone walking past.
The breakfast was nice one morning we ordered coffees and they were made behind the scenes and when we did it the next day we were pointed to make our own instant coffee, not sure what the change was here- the proper coffee was much nicer we than the instant tho!
Approx 25min walk into settlers tavern there were closer places to walk and eat at as well.
For the price it was a good weekend away.
