Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another lovely visit to Olive Hill farm campsite. So good to be relaxing and just listening to the birds and watching the night sky. An added bonus of lovely homemade scones and fresh eggs. A great place to explore the south west region. Thanks to Helen and family.

We stayed at Olive Hill RV Campground in August, using it as a base for exploring the Margaret River area. We only met Helen who was extremely helpful, giving us ideas of places to visit etc. The camping among the olive trees was beautiful, especially as we could have a campfire in the evening. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it. A definite must and we will stay there again when we return to Western Australia. Thank you Helen for a wonderful stay.

We didn't have a booking as we had some trouble with our phone internet, so just rocked up and phoned the number on the notice board and spoke with the lovely owner who told us to grab a site and she would come by later. The campsites are divided by olive trees, so are quite private, although you could still hear your neighbours etc. Loved the sheep that just wandered about between all the camp sites and olive trees. There were lots of birds around, especially loved watching the beautiful blue wrens. Our dog was welcomed, he was always on a leash, and enjoyed walking down to the river (a bit boggy, don't wear good shoes!) and the cows were fascinated with him!! Can only stay here if you are fully self contained eg. own bathroom/toilet/kitchen in a camper van or caravan. We were able to borrow a little fire pit and pay $5 for a bucket of wood (owners daughter chops wood for some $$$) - due to fire restrictions only able to use between 6pm to 10pm. We would definitely return and hopefully get to stay a couple of nights next time.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in November 2019 and went back for 4 weeks in January. This little piece of heaven is private and peaceful with the hosts Benji, Helen and their children providing great hospitality including scones/pancackes with jam and cream 2 mornings per week as well as haggis and cheese tasting (fresh & local) on Wednesdays. Enjoyed a Rabbie Burns night one Saturday highlighting our hosts Scottish heritage - bagpipes, kilt and all as well as a delicious meal. Great night was had by all. Close to all attractions from Bussellton to Augusta. Keep this Campground on your list.

Benji & Helen Olive Farm Hosts. We entered Olive Hill Farm stay just a short 10ks from the Busselton Highway before Margaret River W.A. We first noticed many neat rows of bushy Olive trees with Vans inbetween and well spaced out Helen the Owner and Farm Host was there to give us a warm welcome and show us to our pre booked site. The site was level, wide and long compacted gravel, then grassy that backed onto a tall tree plantation at the rear, bushy olive trees on either side gave us privacy. The only toilet and dump point is on a large mound at the top of the park, its clearly marked, and there is a small fee to use the dump point.... or a 10k drive into the public dump at margaret River. There is a walking path alongside the tree plantation that took you to the local River, there is a lot of birdlife in and around Olive Hill including the splendid wrens male and female, black cockatoos, and finches, the peace and quiet is pleasurable, on our second day Helen came by with freshly cooked Scones baked by her daughter, a gold coin donation will help to buy her some musical instruments, the scones were delicious. Its a good idea to Book in Advance as sites are limited and demand is high, only 17 Sites..the paths in and around the camp including between the rows of olive trees are cleared and well kept for easy walking, There is a large covered area for campers to sit around and have afternoon drinks and get to know each other at the front of the park, and if your lucky Benji will entertain you with his Bagpipes. We really enjoyed our stay here, both our Hosts were very helpful and friendly, and the complimentary Scones sealed the deal....Not that Qld pumpkin rubbish. If you expect playgrounds, jumping pillows, waterslides, Forget it.. Olive Hill is a Natural park where kids Try to learn How their parents and grandparents used to play and entertain themselves naturally... We will return again here for the friendly Professional service & scones and Tranquility and Privacy.
