Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We made a last minute booking at Peppermint and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation and surroundings.
Some bread, milk, juice and cereals were provided and much appreciated.
The unit was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Easy walk to town, but with an out of town feel. We won’t hesitate to stay here again on future visits.

Thank you Glenn and Evelyn. We like to think we offer a comfortable home away from home, in easy proximity of the region's delights. We look forward to your return in the not too distant future.

Wow what an amazing stay! 5 stars! Spotless, well equipped, comfy beds, peaceful and quiet. We did wood fired bbq dinners each night. Walking distance to town. Sue, the manager, was very friendly with a good sense of humour. My kids loved playing on the trampoline. We did laundry which only costs $3 and dried our clothes on the line outside the cottage. Sad to check out after our 2 nights stay.

Arriving from New Zealand we stayed here for 10 nights to see a new grand child which hadn't been possible because of lockdowns.
The location is a mere 6 minutes walk down the road to the main shopping area of Margaret River which I did every morning to buy a newspaper and a coffee. The location is quiet except for bird sounds and the occasional noisy car down town.

The cottages are clean and pretty well equipped. They are well spaced from the other 7 cottages and all have a [porch area to sit in the shade where you can have a coffee and watch the hens wander around the site.

With us staying for so long we had laundry and there was a washing machine and dryer available in the laundry which we used around the usage of the cleaning staff.

Of course the location in Margaret River enables one to go on day visits down to Augusta or the Cape Leuwinn lighthouse if you are inclined. The complex suited our needs and would recommend it.

Thank you Mark and Janice. Good news - we are installing a new (credit card operated) washer and dryer stack which will speed up the laundry process for our guests. We've also agreed to the replacement of all window treatments, so our programme of refurbishment continues.

Stayed in a two room cottage for a night’s stay at Margaret River. One room had two single beds and another room had a queen bed and a two-single bunk bed.

Loved our stay there and the staff were very friendly. The cottage comes with a parking lot for a single car and a bbq pit outside (we didn’t get the chance to use it). There’s a full kitchen with a fridge/freezer. They even provide complimentary bottles of milk and juice each. The whole cottage is clean and well maintained.

There are supermarkets and shops within manageable walking distance, and there’s even a DIY laundromat in the town area. But the area around the cottages gets very dark at night.

Safe, value for money and accessible to the town area. Would recommend for all types of travelles.

Advertised as “8 cottages spread around a lawned area” Not true. 7 cottages are, but not cottage No.1, and that's the accommodation we were given. Cottage No.1 looks to me like an after thought, squeezed between cottages 2 and 8, and set back away from the lawned area. You may say, oh well, a bit more private all well and good, but your optimism comes with the negatives i’m afraid. 1. the alfresco area for cottage No.1 faces the dusty entrance driveway to the property with cars and delivery trucks coming and going. 2. To the left of the alfresco area you'll be looking into a huge tin shed. (vehicles from All About Sightseeing & Winery Tours Parked and cleaned here) On one particular day a Vehicle was being dusted off with a brush and vacuumed all while the engine was ticking over for 20 mins. Lovely smell of fumes as the dust settled on our outdoor table. Next to the shed was the pipework to 2 Huge Gas bottles sat on a small grassed area, also in our view. 3. To the right and front the wonderful view of the side of Cottage 8 complete with the gas supply and air con unit to the cottage. Just on a side note We also experienced a staff member on 3 or 4 occasions walking by cigarette burning, not a good look and the smoke drifting across as we ate in our alfresco area. We were going to ask to be moved to another suitable cottage but as it was new year there was no option.

We accept some of what has been stated and I have asked the managers to amend some practices. We have also made general improvements and have planted fast-growing shrubs to change the outlook. As a matter of interest, this is the 1st such complaint in the 18 years that we have owned this property; and we have returning guests who specifically request Cottage #1. That said, we are only interested in improving our product.

Wonderful place to stay. Great value for money. The cottages are well managed, they are clean and have everything you need.

The location is close to town and shops and restaurants are at walking distance. Quiet location as it and borders a forrest reserve.

The grounds are well kept and each unit has a lovely terrace with outdoor furniture and fire pit (wood supplied) where you can sit and enjoy the birds.

Excellent place for a group of friends or families (trampoline and basketball court available).

Was our 2nd stay and will definitely return again.

Peppermint Brook was great for our two night stay in Margaret River. Ideal location just a five minute walk into town. Comprehensive information about what to do, where to eat etc.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and had pretty much everything you might need. WiFi worked well.

We cooked a meal one evening, as the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. They thoughtfully leave breakfast essentials which were enough to feed two of us both mornings.

Recommended.

We found this site on the net and booked due to the availability of dates and I am pleased we did.
Peppermint Brook provides good clean and comfortable amenities in a terrific setting with a great outlook over the tree and law area - there are both gas and wood BBQ equipment supplied. The starter breakfast pack is fine and the cottages are close to town. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we will certainly stay again.

We had a 2 bedroom cottage. It was very clean and in excellent condition. Lots of room to stretch out. A fully equipped kitchen. We relaxed on the large outdoor veranda and comfortable chairs. Very impressed with hooks and rails for hanging (we have found that most accommodation skimps on these in the bathroom).

We had the 2 bedroom cottage for 3 nights. The cottage was well maintained with clean sheets, came with kitchen, on site shower and toilet, dining area and living room area. The regional brochures and breakfast foods in the cottage were nice little touches. The resident chickens were free roaming in the day, adding to character of the place. Washer and dryer available near the office. It was surprisingly pleasant given its supposedly 3-star rating!

No. There is no washer or dryer in the cottage. There is a separate building where you can wash and dry your clothes at a cost. But as we didn't use this facility I can't remember how much it was. However we were very happy with the accommodation.
