Me and my son went to Margaret River this January, and instead of camping or finding a hotel, we chose Glenbrook estate. They have a nice eco-friendly lodge very short distance from town. The lodge has comfortable rooms, shared bathrooms, a well equipped do-it-yourself kitchen and a nostalgic lounge room. It borders a little forest reserve which is also a sheltering ground for native animals. There’s numerous dirt trails going through the forest which we used for hiking and cycling around. The host Cherie was very nice with showing us around and giving guests a night walk through the forest, looking for possums. She also has a pet donkey who my son was thrilled to see. Overall, a great and peaceful place close to town if you want to tuck yourself away closer to nature.

We’ve recently stayed at Glenbrook Estate for 5 nights. The accommodation was very homey, laid back, comfortable, affordable and most importantly CLEAN.
We stayed in a family room overlooking the woods, a queen bed and a single bed. Heater was provided and all beds had electric blankets plus plenty of fluffy blankets. Soap and towels provided.
Shared bathroom, ladies had 3 toilet cubicles and 5 showers. Shampoo and conditioners also provided in the bathroom. Very clean bathroom/toilet.

Communal lounge room/dinner and kitchen with fridges. Pots and pans, cutlery and plates and BBQ facilities provided for guests to use.

We went cycling through the woods, very easy trails to follow.
At night we went out to the back yard, in the darkness and saw how bright the stars in sky were. Amazing!!!

They had 2 horses, a donkey and kangaroos everywhere. If you are lucky, Cherie the owner will let your kids ride one of the horses - assisted of course.

Very much enjoyable stay at Glenbrook Estate, and Cherie was the most lovely and friendly host ever.

I’ve had such a wonderful stay at Glenbrook. It’s so peaceful here. The owners are lovely and work hard to keep the place authentic and immaculate. The rooms are great. Heaters, electric blankets and touch lamps are a bonus. Spotless clean sheets, bathroom etc. There are little birds everywhere. A perfect nature haven to relax and unwind. Just 5km out of Margaret River township so easy to go in and get supplies. Close to Lake Cave too. I couldn’t have found a more perfect spot! Close to Lake Cave.

We were welcomed to Glenbrook by the delightful Cherie who gave us the tour of the property and our rooms.....Instantly welcoming and a feeling of being at home.
The rooms were spotless, the bedding and ammenities were cleaner than my own house and maintained constantly.
The general common area was a welcome respite area in the cool evening as we gathered around the well stoked fire. But plenty of area to sit quietly as a couple if you preferred.... A wonderful workable kitchen space to store and cook our own meals... so well stocked with plates, pots, cutlery, etc.... The garden courtyard which is located in the centre of the rooms was another lovely space to sit and read, eat and chat... Set amongst some beautfiul bushland and accessible with quite a few walking tracks. Soooooooooo many kangaroos that I think we were being watched rather than us watching them. A beautiful escape for us who prefer not to be right in the town which is only a 5 minute drive away. I can highly recommend this little gem..... and look forward to returning in the future...

My family enjoyed a wonderful long weekend camping in tents. You can pitch a tent light fire and still have access to clean toilets and hot showers.

We stayed three nights at $15 per adult using our own camping equipment. There is plenty of wild life around and it has a casual feel about the place. The owner only accepts cash payment as there are no card facilities.

We found the setting to be superb. Enough space between campers and plenty of room to set up pour tents.

The only down side - there are no rubbish bins on the property to deposit your rubbish. To do this you have to go out onto the highway and use the bins provided. The problem is everyone else uses the same bins.

Given the natural setting and environs and price, my family was expecting something really basic. However, from the moment Cherie greeted us and showed us to our room, we felt right at home.

Glenbrook Estate is so well maintained as it was clean and spacious. The carpeted bedroom came with electric blankets which was a real comfort at night. There was enough space for our clothes and bags, although just barely.

The shared bathrooms were a really pleasant surprise: clean, no odours, hot water... perhaps the best shared shower and toilet facility I have ever come across in all my travels. Accommodation comes with small bars of soap and towels.

The common living area is huge and has a nice fireplace, television set, games, books and a few dining tables. The kitchen offers all the required amenities like stove, microwave, refrigerator, utensils, plates, cutting boards... everything!

Rooms are arranged around a small courtyard but the forest and lawns are all around and we were treated to more than one visit by kangaroos mere metres from our rooms.

Glenbrook Estate was really such a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a serene forest setting and who doesn't mind sharing one's comforts.

We stayed at Glenbrook Estate last year from boxing day until 6th January 2018. We had our caravan and two sets of friends also stayed with their caravans. We had a wonderful week there and Jason was very helpful and a really lovely host. The toilet and showers were clean and tidy, and the camping kitchen area was great when we wanted to enjoy time with our friends together. Only 5 kms from Margaret River was a huge advantage and the kangaroos, birds, horses and a lovely donkey were a wonderful experience and a treat for the children. Would definitely recommend this Estate if you are travelling down south around the Margaret River area. Thanks Jason, we will see you again soon! David and Marilyn

Upon arrival we were greeted and warmly welcomed given a full detailed summary of facilities - arrived in a huge camping area that is unspoilt not over populated and space you couldn't have asked for better- we set up and explored the kitchen everything you could wish for the toilet block ample cleaned daily and again ideally located . The winner for me was the location unspoilt bush land with so many kangaroos , birds and horses and a lovely donkey it was like a Nature Reserve unspoilt but perfection - simply beautiful ten dollars a night per person to wake up in the morning and feel like your on safari ! Breathtaking used Glenbrook as a base to explore the Margaret River Region - honestly didn't want to move on ! Perfect place for peace and quiet and relaxation

I stayed at Glenbrook a few weeks ago with some friends and we had such a lovely time there. The owners are really friendly and make you feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful with lots of walks around and kangaroos coming up to your window in the morning. Wish we could have stayed here longer. Excellent value for money.

This is a wonderful ecotourism experience that must be experienced.
Far from the crowds in Margaret River, a home style accomodation, camping, cabins but most spectacular of all is the natural environment surrounding the accomodation.
Large Peppermint trees which are the home to the very rare and Endangered Western Ringtail Possums which are very shy and can only been seen at night with a torch.
This is a must to visit!!!! Full marks for ecotourism experiences.
