Big Valley Campsite is nestled amongst the hills of our family owned working sheep farm, ten minutes south east of Margaret River. Most of our powered sites are large and shaded with the few that are not shaded being complimented by views of the rolling hills. Most are also drive through sites adding to the ease of getting in and set up quickly. All sites are no more than 100m from our amenities. Camp fires are prohibited in the Margaret River region between December and April, please follow any restrictions when on the property. Your pets are welcome to join you but please notify the hosts at the time of your booking if they are travelling with you. The farm encompasses a beautiful secret valley hidden from the outside world by natural forest. We are central to the Margaret River region and its tourist attractions. Margaret River has plenty of wineries, breweries and restaurants to choose from. It also has arts and crafts, mountain biking, bush walking, caving, canoeing and abseiling to offer both visitors and locals a great variety of things to do. Plus there are many brewery and wine tours that will pick up and drop off from our campsite.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have camped at Big Valley over the years, taking camper trailers and more recently a caravan. Always a pleasure to stay here, facilities are always clean and in keeping with the working farm location. We've never had noise issues and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful.

From the moment we arrived we immediately fell in love with the site. Cute little animals everywhere 🥰 walked into live music and a food truck with delish food. Treated ourselves to a nice hot shower and a nice spot under a tree to camp for the night. We will deffs be back, Kia Ora !! xxx

Shanty town / Half-way house full of Bogan’s and backpackers! A far cry from the majestic & relaxed vibe as promised, don’t let the flashy advertising fool you. Sites are squashed in like sardines, why are long termers & backpacks segregated as management said in the previous bad review? Because they’re trouble, clearly visible & quite the eye sore might I add! Up yahooing til 12:30am, cackling like witches until another camper yells at the top of their lungs OI, SHUT THE F.... UP ! (Classy spot this remember?) The camp kitchen acted as a backpackers nightclub til the wee hours, couldn’t even cook if you wanted to. Evident by managements previous snakey response that feedback won’t be taken on board, continue to be a bleeding heart to the businesses longevity detriment. Kind regards, Experienced traveller that won’t be retuning or recommending. Peace.

Hello, i’m sorry this happened to you. The night in question, there were three families that have been travelling together, the wives decided to have the last get together. They didn’t realise they were so loud. The people beside them didn’t hear anything but the people on the next level above , heard everything, we have 10pm curfew and We are very strict with it and unless someone comes and see us , how do we know . You made out they were back packers but they were women in their late 30’s. We have two Camp sheds, The second closest to the Office is more the family one. We do have around 30 young travellers that stay here. They are very respectful and usually when there is noise in the Shed it Travellers passing through. We try our best and we do take your review on board very seriously. It is hard to work all day and then be this security at night time. Did you come to the office and tell me your concerns. No one did or have at this stage. I only read it on trip advisor. Also I did ask everyone regarding the night and everyone said didn’t hear anything , only the top level so I would love to know where your site was. Once again I’m so sorry it was out of my control.

We really enjoyed our stay. For a couple with no kids it was a place we felt relaxed. There were plenty of families and kids around but didn’t feel like it. It was the perfect farm stay. Staff super helpful and happy. We purchased the lamb that came direct from their farm and it was delicious on the BBQ. Thanks for having us.

Great farm site, quite relaxed. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The facilities are always clean and well maintained. We loved our first visit so much we brought our family back for a 2nd visit. The staff were very helpful when I called to book for two sites next to each other. We were able to take our dog too.

This was our first time traveling with a caravan and our first time at Big Valley. If you want more of a rural/farm/nature experience then this camp site is perfect. It is set on a working sheep farm and you have access to walk around certain paddocks. Staff were so friendly and helpful, facilities were very clean, bird life is plentiful and I love that they recycle! It is situated only a short drive (10mins) into Margaret River. A very relaxed experience was had by our all!

Great camp sites, staff are very friendly and helpful. Central location for exploring the Margaret River Region. The amenities are clean and modern, two rustic camp kitchens and grass areas. Everyone was very respectful of noise restrictions which gave me an excellent nights sleep. I will be returning to Big Valley and highly recommend staying there.

We stayed here for 3 nights.. the sites are large and on a good angle for drive through. The hosts are lovely and they have a big dog run which is great. Amenities are very clean and they even sell various cuts of lamb. Only a short drive to town. Well worth the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Valley. Sites were a good size, plenty to choose from and grassed. Showers had great pressure and hot. We really enjoyed the ringneck parrots playing around our site and keeping us amused. We would definitely visit this campsite again.

Lovely green authentic farm setting with shady trees and opportunities for children to interact with the animals. The caravan park has good facilities - both powered and unpowered sites. Central location to Margret River and most of the Cave experiences
