This is a magnificent old building like so many in Kalgoorlie and one of many hotels with great architecture and style. This hotel have a good outdoor garden area which was a pleasant place to casually dine in the evening and the food was interesting and fairly much what you might expect in terms of quality and price.

Has been renovated since my last visit. Food is still excellent at a great price. Thoroughly recommend the steaks here. Service is good and staff are friendly. Good choice of beers also. there is an outside area for drinks and meals. Make sure you go through the correct door to access this area.

We have admired this beautiful hotel for many years, full of character and charm from the outside. A few weeks ago we decided to have a drink in the corner bar, Wild West Saloon I think it was called. Wow, from the swinging bar doors on entry to the period design inside, it was something else. Whilst many may not...

100 years ago men built this fabulous hotel in the desert. Beer was cheaper than water! Meet the ironclad man who inspired Ned Kelly. Lots to look at. The façade is stunning. The swing doors set the tone of the west outback. Great to share a drink with people here!

The Exchange Hotel in Kalgoorlie has a large bar and many different beers on tap and also more in bottles. Spirits and wines off course too. The service is usually fairly good. For entertainment there are the Skimpies (usually 3 girls wearing less then the usually worn clothes by bar staff) which cater for the male customers who are here...

Arguably the worst individual bar service I have ever experienced. Clearly every staff member was out of there depth and only there to pick up there check. My wife and I were ignored by the staff who simply preferred to chat with locals whilst paying tourist were left waiting for a sign of service, and the so called "skimpy" behind...

My wife and kids came here for dinner one night only to be served with terrible food. My porterhouse I ordered was over cooked and the kids meals were burnt. My wife had fish and chips which tasted bland and flavourless. Not to mention the fish was soggy as though it had been sitting there on the pass for awhile....
