Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

we were all stuffed after moving house, and decided that the nearest hotel would be worth a try. we arrived and there was quite a few people eating and a long line up of people ordering their food not always a good sign. we got a table and some drinks while we decide what to have. I had the fish and chips was very good the batter was not thick and clumpy with a nice salad the serving was just right so no wastage, my wife had a chicken schnitzel and she was also impressed with the serving and taste. overall a good spot for traditional aussie pub food.

We were only staying in Kalgoorlie for 3 nights and this was conveniently close to the Train Station. At the time of booking we were unaware of the Kalgoorlie and Boulder Cup, which is a big event in the town. Anyway, it didn't impact on us too much. Rooms were clean and tidy. Everything worked :) Thursday evening we had a meal in the Maritana Room (which was almost packed). I chose the Beef Cheeks but the dish was rather dry. My friend had the Lamb Shank but it was much smaller than expected. The next evening we had the fish and chips and were pleasantly surprised with the size of the fish. It is a functional place to stay, not a 'Holiday' hotel. Some early morning vehicle activity as various utes and 4WD's leave for work.

Went for dinner at the Tower for Valentine's Day. Meal was very good as usual. Reasonably priced as well. Service was excellent despite there being quite a crowd. Plenty of staff on. Don't think I've ever had a bad experience at the Tower.

My wife and I decided to grab a meal from the Tower Hotel, what an experience we had.
The food was delicious and was also great value for money.
We were very impressed with the staff that served us, they were accommodating in all aspects of our order.

Very disappointed. The food at the Tower used to be consistently good. Good quality pub grub. However, last night I ordered the PeriPeri chicken and was presented with a plate of chips with an under cooked chicken thigh on top which was zig zagged with a low quality commercial red sauce. On the side was a very tired coleslaw and a dish of tasteless garlic sauce. If this is the current quality of the food at the tower I can see why the dining area was only about 20% full. Not recommended until either the chef lifts his/her game or is replaced.

After a very nice (but very pricey) meal at the Palace Hotel a few nights previous, we went to dinner at Charlotte's Bar and Bistro, at the Tower Hotel, pretty much across the road from where we were staying. I must confess that with the mixed reviews here on TA about the place, and it's unremarkable exterior, I was kind of dubious about going. But everything was excellent. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, service was quick and we had our meals in very good time and everything was delicious. I had the Nasi Goreng with chicken satay and that was very tasty; others at the table had the chicken parmi which was great and the steak sambo looked awesome with the steak itself still a smidge pink in the middle. We went there at 6pm and the place filled up as we were there, plus the local Rotary Club arrived for their meeting.
The outside of this place belies the inside. Warm, friendly, great food, great service, would go again if we were in Kal.

Every staff member deserves recognition for the customer service they provide. Reception staff amazing. Couldn’t get a better lady doing the job. She is a true asset.
Bar staff have great senses of humour.
Ordered dinner and again great service.

Great Sunday roast today. Huge portion of beef, lots of veg and even a Yorkshire pudding (as Brits in Kalgoorlie, we appreciated this!) Largest, cheapest and nicest red wine to go with it too so a bonus! Service excellent too. Would definitely recommend and will go back to try other specials on different days!

What a memorable experience! We were treated so well.
Nothing was too much for Pete, the manager, even during the whole town blackout we were checked on and kept up to date. He is truly the host with the most, I’d stay anywhere he managed!

Huge range of drinks at the bar, TAB under same roof for a bet.
Room was comfortable and quiet. I loved there was a range of different heighted pillows for choice.
