Short stay ..

The hotel is centrally located and it's good that they had a tie up with some restaurants nearby to make payment seamless i.e. being able to charge to your room. We decided to cut back one night and they allowed us to do so. The only disappointment was that I booked a room with a balcony but ended up not being able to sit outside. Room was as expected and I think the rate was very reasonably priced.

Perfect location, nice rooms

Perfect location, right on the beach, walking distance to nice restaurants and bars. It’s reasonably priced, rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. I went for a walk in the morning on the beach and had breakfast at the dome right on the beach. Highly recommended

Good accommodation in Geraldton

Good location in the city centre across the road from the foreshore. Friendly check in with an upgrade because we were staying 3 nights. A very spacious room indeed with a kitchenette and at the end of the corridor so it was quiet. Ocean views. Clean and well presented with a comfy king bed a big TV and a couple of chairs to relax in. Housekeeping was friendly and efficient.

Perfect location

Excellent room overlooking ocean with great balcony. Not cheap but we treasured two nights there. Complimentary drinks on arrival. The restaurant only opens for breakfast and finding food outlets on a Sunday and Monday night was a challenge. Staff were very pleasant. Interesting that the standard $100 bond debited to credit card on arrival took 8 days to reverse after vacating. They say allow 10. In this day and age with technology???

Foreshore Style

Clean room, KS bed, beautiful balcony room. Staff are friendly and parking easy. The bar is vibrant and busy, a complimentary drink pass is served happily. They make mocktails with fresh lime and all the twists. Breakfast with fresh OJ, latte and eggs came out super fast and was perfect. Highly recommend this venue.

Good spot to stay

Nice room but a bit noisy - good parking - air con noise from outside was a bit loud - comfy bed and chair, lovely bathroom - staff pleasant and helpful - nicely located to beach and foreshore walks and town.

Very Noisy

We didn't gave a great experience in this hotel. I feel bad writing critically as the staff were so friendly and the rooms were so spacious and comfortable inside. So why the middling review? Because our rooms were put the back through a door and sking a ka di g overlooking the car park. Because the rooms opened out onto an exterior landing it was very noisy with cars being locked and unlocked and people turning on engines very very early in the mornings. My room had windows opening out onto a lane where trucks would turn their engines on in the small hours and there was crash bang wallop of bins being emptied. Didn't sleep a wink. Positives, well the location is excellent and the place was clean as can be. But you have to be honest in reviews right? Too noisy.

A hotel experience of luxury.

Upon arrival at the Ocean Centre Hotel we were greeted warmly by reception with a speedy check in. I was extremely happy with the room that we entered on the top floor. Very spacious, modern furniture, lovely sheer curtains overlooking the ocean and port. ( little did I know of the magnificent sunset over the ocean and lighting from the port in the evening on the spacious balcony was to come!) The bed and pillows were comfy along with a dark room at night. Large walk in closets were a bonus with ample room for your suitcases / belongings and hanging clothes. Bathroom was large and very clean. We also decided to stay for 3 nights instead of two. Felt very much at home. Close to all amenities of the town centre with restaurants close by. We ordered in one night and also enjoyed once again the view, coffee and breakfest and evening drinks at the hotel bar with large glass windows and view of the ocean. Thankyou to the friendly team at the Ocean Centre Hotel for a very enjoyable stay.…

The place to stay when In Geraldton

Very clean hotel. Well located. Good friendly staff, excellent views from the ocean facing rooms. Secure parking and easily located for the shops. Excellent breakfast freshly cooked and ample serves. There is no restaurant serving lunch or dinner, but the hotel is well, situated with plenty dining options surrounding it or within easy walking distance

Sub basement - no view

The room was booked over 11 months ago as part of our epic journey to see the Total Solar Eclipse. Booking was completed online and my expectation was that we’d at least get a decent room or be offered an upgrade, or simply be upgraded to a room with a view considering that the hotel is not fully booked. Many of the rooms have balconies with beach and coastal views. Instead, we walk downstairs to a sub-basement room. The room is neat enough but there is no ventilation. The frosted glass window faces onto an alley way. We heard feet running past the window during the night and thought that a crime was occurring. I woke briefly during the night wondering what the fire exit plan was. And I finally woke to the sound of hotel laundry and laundry trolleys being pushed around. The room opens onto the hotel carpark. At least it’s a quick exit upon checkout. I’m still in shock and can’t wait to checkout and head straight home. For those wanting a memorable Geraldton experience, don’t put up with a sub standard room.…

HI Janice0551 Thank you for your review, when making bookings regardless of the time frame the rooms are allocated generally the day before arrival unless a guests requested a specific room. As you know the Eclipse time frame was a very busy time for the Mid west so to assume or expect an upgrade this time clearly led to disappointment. My suggestion is corresponding directly with hotels to help achieve the experience you want. You booked that room type so that's the one you were allocated.
