Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our friends had already booked in to Sunset Beach so we joined them before staying with relatives in town. Although they were in a caravan & us only in a 2 man tent the young receptionist assigned a lovely grassy site only a couple of sites away from them.

Pleasant & efficient staff at reception with tourist information available, plenty of guest parking.

Lovely clean & well appointed camp kitchen where we utilised the oven for a roast dinner which we ate at the outdoor dining area.

The amenities seemed a little outdated for a Big 4 & could do with a face lift, but the grounds were well looked after. Sites roomy & little cabins seemed neat.

We stayed overnight on our way back to Perth form further up north in a family chalet The chalet was older, but very clean, and the towels and bath mat looked practically new ( and were very plush), the bed was very comfortable, and the shower hot with good pressure. We did not see much of the surrounds, but the kids enjoyed the kangaroo jumper (the rest of the playground was older), and there is a direct entrance to the beach (though erosion means it's a little dicey going down. THe fish and chips up the road was very good, if a little pricey.

We stayed in one of the motel units right by the entrance of the park. The room was small and basic but was clean and tidy.
The walls are very thin but luckily no one was staying next door to us so we could get a decent nights sleep.
The park has a laundry with 3 washing machines and 1 dryer, all coin operated, they should consider another dryer as there was a bit of a wait to use it.
The location was good, walk to the beach and a short drive to the town centre.
The only issue we had was with the parking, there are 4 bays outside the units that are meant to be for paying guests however one afternoon we came back and people who were not staying at the park had filled up the bays. We had to park on the site next our unit, luckily no one had booked that site. I would recommend putting up signs to specify those bays are for guests.
If we stayed here again we would book one of the cabins instead.

What a magnificent caravan park. The park was so neat and the amenities were spotless especially hot showers 🙌 couldn’t be in a better spot right at the beachfront. Customer service was brilliant, thank you for the instructions for arriving after hours. Highly recommend to anyone.

Recently stayed for four nights on an en-suite site. We loved this place the option of having our own en-suite was perfect and the park was lovely for the kids. Pool was also great could do with a little money spent on the seating options around the pool but otherwise I couldn't fault the park at all.
Everything was very clean, I saw a cleaner at least once a day. Something I have never noticed at other parks.

Hi Emma H, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and found our park / Ensuite Site to your liking. Unfortunately we had to take the seating from the pool area due to it getting damage but we will be replacing them. We hope to welcome you back again in the future but until then we wish you and your family happy and safe travels.

We only stayed one night in a one bedroom cabin with 2 bunks. It had a single burner stove, microwave and every cooking utensil you would need, crockery etc. The bed was comfy towels and sheets spot on. Lovely outdoor balcony to sit and if that wasn’t enough a pool which was crystal clear. I can honestly say great value for money and had a peek in the camp kitchen and would have liked to take it home with me. Ok our accom didn’t have a couch to sit and watch T.V. But I didn’t ask for that so you get what you ask for. It was quiet and listening to the waves was lovely. Did I mention you were a stones throw away from the beach. And a platform for catching your sunset great idea. My husband said best sleep he has had in our travels WELL DONE.

Great location right on the beach, but needs some TLC. The dump point is the strangest one we’ve ever seen! It’s right in the middle of the park next to the jumping pillow and the playground.. and you’re forced to keep the door open if you want to breathe at all, so while families are playing a few metres away, your tipping a sh*t bucket down a broken old toilet.. very awkward & strange placement. Lady at the front desk wanted to be anywhere else but working there, quite unfriendly but she mightve just been having a bad couple of days. Laundry was fine, plenty of line to hang clothes out. Bathroom floors were mopped often & areas of the park are well signed with information. Seems like a good spot to stay with just a tent set up

We would just like to say a massive thank you to the whole Sunset Beach team for the extra effort and nice touches you added to make the Easter weekend an absolute pleasure. We travelled as a group of 3 families, 6 adults and 5 children aged between 11 months and 16 years. The weekend as a whole was thoroughly enjoyed by all and will certainly remain a memorable one for our littler ones.

From the additional bouncy castles, pony rides, face painting, colouring competition to the traditional Easter Fish & Chips and breakfast pancakes, your efforts did not go unnoticed. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Spent five nights here in our camper. It is a busy place with a great beachside location some 10-15 minutes north of the city. The sites are of a good size so it is not too crowded even when busy. It has excellent amenities with very good hot water.

No, as the beach dunes are so high. It will block the beach view and the sunset over the ocean

I can't remember the specifics but generally a powered site is for 2 people (and childfren) and in some cases you maybe charged for an extra adult. You would need to check on the individual caravan park policy
