This motel is situated close to the beach and has nice views over the ocean. Owners are friendly and helpful. The family room was spacious and had a microwave and coffee/tea making facilities. The beds were super comfy. There is a restaurant/pub in walking distance and the city centre is a couple of minutes drive away. Recommended for a short stay.

As the title suggests, the family rooms in-terms of the rooms are actually wonderful. Spacious and clean. Fridge and microwave is a good bonus. Beds are comfy.
The bathrooms however in the family rooms are horrible. Grout is yuck and needs serious renovations. I felt unclean in the bathroom. The ceiling was horrid, paint peeling a mould.
Caretaker staff are super friendly and very nice to talk too. They do their best.
Owner needs to renovate massively, and would take this place up to an amazing standard.

Situated across the road from the Indian Ocean, this little cheapo takes second place behind the star attraction, the sunset at Bunbury beach, everything else eventually fades in the background.
There’s no real point talking down a cheap motel, its a clean roof over your head & a mattress for your back, when you wake up in the morning reflect on the fact that you saved money staying here & there’s no sand in-between your privates. All very good points.
For those interested, our Family Room cost $165 (Room 5) had 1 double & 3 single beds in a configuration that makes the most of space & is relatively comfortable. Basics such as mini fridge, aircon, Foxtel 51 cm TV, dining table, plates, tea & coffee facilities & bathroom were fine. Thick walls will spare your family any embarrassment from late night noises or loud Chinese grandmothers. No AAA rating or pool but why would you need one.
Down the road from a beach front bar & grill which opens til late, a much loved icon in the opposite direction & a few minutes drive into town where supermarkets & liquor can be found.
Asked what time was check-out, the manager replied ”10-11...whenever you can manage, no rush” this sums up the whole vibe of this place, enjoy.

We booked a MOTEL room with no stairs! We were allocated a 'self contained' room with external stairs, difficult for an older couple with disabilities. View was good but windows so dirty you couldn't really take it in, and the chairs on the balcony filthy, microwave was missing a power selection dial and lopsided because a leg was missing. Everything was 'on the cheap'- no hand towel, no face washers, no hairdryer, but the worst was the absolutely FILTHY pillows - old and completely stained, as was the tea towel. We stayed a week, sheets did not appear to be changed in that time. Overall, really disappointing for the price which is a shame as the location is good with easy access to beach. Won't be staying again, ever!

The first question the owner asked, was: 'how would you like to pay?' Not: 'Welcome, how are you, how was your trip', but 'how would you like to pay...' An ideal place for roadworkers, who are drinking beer from 6.00 to 8.00 am on their balcony... The place is old and not very clean.

Very dissapointed in the service! But the room was only $99 for the night so I should of expected it. My partner and I arrived on a sunday after lunch after driving 4 hours. As I had a hospital appointment early monday morning. No one was in the reception area and door was locked. Room keys were left in the letter box with our name on it. We took the key with our name on it and proceeded to our room. There was a couple of large council garbage bins about a meter from our room door and everytime you walked past you could get a really bad smell! Once in the room we noticed it wasn't very clean. There was a funny smell in the room itself and the bed lining was discoloured especially the pillow cases! After about half an hour we heard a couple (Owners) arguing across the car park. Next minute we got a very loud bang on the door. Before I had a chance to get to the door the man (Owner) rudely let himself in explaining he was the owner and accused us of having the wrong room. My partner explained to him that our name was on this key so he doesn't understand how it could be wrong! The Owner asked for our names and walked towards reception. I walked outside not understanding what was going on and asked the Owner if I need to come to reception to resolve this. The Owner kept walking and ignored me. So I returned to the room. 5 minutes later the owner returned to the room beside us with a vacuum and cleaning products. His wife then followed with fresh towels. It was obvious they were preparing the room for another customer. However neither of them returned to our room to explain to us why we were been rudely accused of having the wrong room. We could hear them arguing in the next room while they were cleaning. So I went and knocked on the door looking for answers. The male owner walked away not saying a word. But his wife came towards me and appologised that it was their mistake they got us confused with another booking!! The male owner never approached us to appologise. We felt very uncomfortable for the rest of our stay and couldn't wait to leave the next morning. We will never stay here again. We would rather pay the extra $$$ to stay somewhere else. It felt like we were staying in a hostel. However I have stayed in hostels that have had better customer service than this place!!

When I called to book the lady mimicked my accent back to me which I thought was a bit rude. When we checked in, my accent was again mimicked. No harm done but it is embarrassing. The lady, though not unpleasant in our dealing with her, found her mimicry very amusing. The room itself was reasonable. Sheets were a little dusty. Noisy from the road and the next room. Pity not to utilise the view with poorly positioned window. Bathroom very old and in need of modernisation.

Room nice, wifi too weak, got told check out 10.30, packed up 90% went to petrol station n back at 10.10 to find Manager n Cleaner inside cleaning. When I said softly .. you said 10.30 we'd like the time to get our stuff together, just went quickly to get smokes, she raised her voice 'hope you're nt smoking in here' my husband, son n me had to pack our stuff in front of them as Manager said abruptly they had people wanting to check in, we've started the cleaning n we're finishing it regardless sorry love.Total embarrassment for my family, rude excuses as where can you check in anywhere in the morning lies lies .. never come across rudeness like this b4

Tthank you for taking the time to write a review, great to hear you were happy with our rooms, I would just like to clarify a few things, the only reason that the housekeepers had entered your room , was because your parents ,who stayed in the room next to you , had informed them that you had checked out earlier in the morning, the fact that there were no personal belongings left in the room, and it was 10.30am they presumed you had vacated. The only reason that I was called to the room was because staff had found an ashtray full of butts on the kitchen table, as our rooms are NON smoking we do not allow smoking in the rooms, and that was bought to your attention when you returned to collect your parents. Free wi fi is available, it is noted on our website that it is only available in some rooms, as you had requested a quieter room away from the road, the signal is not as strong the further you go from the reception. We do allow early check ins when possible, we have noted on file that you requested a 11am check in because you had early appointments which we were more than happy to oblige for both rooms on the day. We were woken up by a scratching sound from the ceiling around midnight. Turned on lights, checked around, can't stop the source of the noise. Sounded like a huge rat digging a hole in the ceiling periodically. Went back to sleep, woken up again, noise became continuous. Couldn't complain to receptionist as it was 2am. Gave up, and slept in the car instead. Left at 5.30am next morning :-(
Otherwise, room was generally clean and receptionist was very friendly.

We booked this via Agoda for a two bed apartment for 4 adults, it would appear to have a view of the sea however when we booked in we were directed to a completley different block nearer the town. When we arrived we actually drove around the building twice as we could not believe that was it. There were two men drinking on the balcony and a woman who i never saw without a cigarette in her mouth, it truly looked like a benefits hostel. The apartment was no better inside it smelt stale and the joke of the no smoking was that the woman next door sat right outside her door with the door open smoking literally ALL the time. Our friends were woken the following morning as they had their window open and the smoke was coming in so early. That smoke also came in our apartment. There was a double and 2 singles and i am not joking the two single bedded room was like a cell, truly dreadful. I am glad i did not check the blankets until the following morning !! The room had no bedside table and only one light. Seriously i have never seen a property like it. We literally slept there on the way down to Margaret River and could not get out fast enough. When i showed the picures we took of the ironing board (eaten to pieces the manager said it should not have been there........ wait for it, it should have been in the laundry room. At what point does a 3/4 eaten ironing board need throwing out (see pictures). There is a sign saying that the apt is only cleaned once a week (which rings bells that this is not a holiday place but a long term rental apartment). To be fair to the manager we did not complain till the following morning when the manager said that she would have moved us (so why were we in that apartment in the first place) and she had not been there recently so she did not know how bad it was, but seriously this apartment block near the town should not be rated at all. I would rather sleep in the car do not waste your money. I could not recommend in any way you stay at this apartment.
