On arrival there was plenty of free parking onsite at the hotel, reception is light and airy.

Rooms felt like they had been recently refurbished, fridge, kettle, tea / coffee etc.

Clean, new bathroom, lovely body washes and creams etc, local Australian products.

Comfy bed, a nice balcony to watch the sunset go into the sea. The beach is a 5 minute walk, a great sandy beach.

All in all a nice place to stay, buffet breakfast is available at $30AUD (February 2024 price).

Despite the positive aspects, such as the prime location and breathtaking ocean view, we were severely let down by the lack of service we received. It was disheartening to discover that the spa facility was out of order for most of our stay, with the explanation that a technician would only be available on weekdays. Additionally, when we requested room cleaning, we were informed that there was insufficient staff on the weekend to accommodate our request. This left us questioning the value of the service we paid for in full. We expected a complete and satisfactory experience, especially given the high demand evident from your hotel being fully booked every weekend. It is disconcerting that despite the premium charged during weekends, the services were only provided partially. We believe that if your hotel is capitalizing on full occupancy, there should be adequate staff and operational facilities to meet the needs of your guests. We hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues promptly to ensure a more satisfying experience for future guests.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your stay despite the positive aspects of our prime location and stunning ocean views. Your feedback is invaluable, and we regret that the lack of service you encountered, particularly with the spa facility's availability and weekend room cleaning, impacted your overall impression of our establishment. I must take issue with this point regarding the spa –with the greatest respect are wrong on that point. We check the spa readings every day – and I turned it off during your stay because the chlorine levels were too high and because we care for our guests, we turned it off for a precaution. It is not easy to get technicians on weekends. Just like at times, it is not easy to find understanding guests or those that demonstrate any appreciation for forward planning to protect them. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused by the spa facility being out of order during your visit. We acknowledge the frustration this may have caused and understand the importance of these amenities in ensuring a pleasant stay. Rest assured, we're actively working to address this issue and improve our maintenance procedures to minimize such disruptions in the future. Additionally, we understand and regret the inconvenience caused by the insufficient staff on the weekends, leading to a delay in accommodating your request for room cleaning. We're reviewing our staffing and operational procedures to better align with the high demand during weekends and ensure a consistent level of service throughout all days of the week. Your comments regarding the discrepancy between the premium charged during weekends and the partial services provided are duly noted. We are committed to enhancing our services and operations to meet the expectations of our valued guests, especially during peak periods. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, and it will be instrumental in our efforts to make necessary improvements. Please allow us another opportunity to provide you with the exceptional service and experience that we aim to deliver. If you plan to return, please contact us directly, and we'll ensure your next visit surpasses your expectations.

The bed was comfortable and the room was tidy, the patio screen door was just that, a fly screen with a tear in it. This should have been a security screen door so we could leave the door open to listen to the ocean while in bed at night. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom had a frosted window in it and the bathroom light had a motion sensor which made the light come on if someone got up to use the toilet during the early hours disturbing the spouse and waking them up. (Stupid idea) ! The room did not have a microwave oven which would have been ideal to re heat food.

I've never had such shockingly neglectful service at any hotel restaurant. Anywhere in the world.
The Reception and room service were great.
But the level of service at the Dining Room was definitely NOT.
Don't eat there.
And, also, their $24 buffet breakfast is available for many outlets, just two blocks away, from about $10.00. Not a 'buffet', but a breakfast.
A post on that is following.
When I arrived at the Lighthouse Restaurant, named 'Basalt', I was promptly served with iced water and wine, when I served my order.
But after 50 minutes, I cancelled my order and left.
This kind of treatment is TOTALLY unacceptable. The Hotel charges an additional $6 for each 'room order'.
In this enormous restaurant, there were just one couple at a table on the other side of the room. And a bloke behind me (who, as it happened, sent his first meal back).
Shame on you, so-called 'Quality' hotel.

Hello John, Many thanks for staying with us and for providing your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Reception and Room Service, but do apologize for your encounter in the restaurant. I can understand your frustration with the delayed meal service. If I may explain, yes the restaurant was not busy that evening but we had twice as many orders for meal delivery to the rooms, hence some of the delay. In addition, as meals are prepared in the sequence that orders are received, your meal may have seemed to take too long but was in the queue in the kitchen so was attended to as soon as we could. Please be assured that we value all our guests equally, regardless of whether they choose to dine in their room or in the restaurant. I do hop that you will allow us another opportunity to be of service. Kind regards, Sunny

Positive reviews but my experience didn't match. Stayed on two separate occasions for 7 nights during the last week of November and the first week of December. Check in was okay. After one night stay I asked reception for my room to be upgraded via my Travel company and was informed that all rooms were booked. Spoke to my travel company myself and upgrade was arranged no problem. Kitchen not fully operational and breakfast very limited but still almost $20. Decided not eat breakfast and asked staff to ensure that I wasn't charged. When I checked out I was charged. Linen not changed on my bed for three days during second stay. Cleaning staff walked into my room without knocking despite signage on my door. Tins of Prosecco removed from my mini bar. Points not added to my membership, reception promised to add and still haven't.

Dirty room and restaurant and bars shut to hotel guests without notice. pool was also closed but we were informed about that. Accor plus gold membership was a waste of time it looked like we had been given a downgraded room from the picture on the website which we booked on. Was told they weren’t taking any bookings at night as they had two big functions on, when we returned after having to find a last minute place to eat in the City we went to the bar and noticed people requesting and being given a table. Room service was also available which we were denied. As a gold member we were not looked after

I have a lot of negatives and not so many positives about our 1 night stay.
We arrived at 8:30pm and check-in was quick and pleasant. The nicest part of our stay.
Room was clean on arrival, shower is small compared to most 4 star hotels but this is not a negative.
The toilet dripped ALL night. The sound of water constantly dripping was horrible and though attempts were made to ease the sound it wasn't pleasant. We put up with it as we were only staying the one night and by the time we went to bed it was after 10pm and figured it would too hard to change rooms. I wish we had of in the end.
The milk in the fridge had been opened and half used and put back in the fridge from I'm assuming a previous stay, so when I went to make myself a tea in the morning, I had no milk to use. We had a balcony room (which was a lovely glimpse of the ocean) and went to get some fresh air and the seats and table were covered in so much dust and dirt, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in well over a week.
Finally upon check out, I checked with the front desk staff about the 2 x drinks vouchers we received on check-in that it was valid from the mini bar and it was. They then charged our credit card for the 2 drinks so had to call The Mantra Lighthouse and check again with staff who reversed the charge.

The beds were comfy and the amenities were good but the negatives outweighed the good staying here.
The price we paid for this stay, I would not stay her again for what we received.

No wonder people go to Bali. So disappointed. They must be the least helpful staff I've ever experienced. They can't even help to organise a birthday cake. If you want your room made up it will cost an extra $130 per day despite that we have already paid $1200 to stay for a week. Don't bother using towels, there's nowhere to hang wet stuff to dry. You could walk down to reception to get more but they're not open. Or you could waste your holiday watching them go around in the dryer. We are in a very small family room with the sofa made into a 2nd double bed. It's been made up with a single doona, no doona cover, how are 2 people supposed to share a single doona...very classy. There are crackers under the furniture etc etc. No secure parking if you have kayaks or valuables in your car. There isn't even a secure bike rack within the hotel grounds but you could leave your bikes in the storeroom in reception but only if/when it's open. Such simple basic service is non existent. I get that it's only 3 star but seriously when will WA tourism wake up and offer good service with a smile.

Very good check in and check out experience. We booked one of the Ocean View Suite rooms and were delighted with it. Clean, spacious and an amazing view. Plenty of on site parking. The bathroom with spa bath was newly renovated it seemed and really great although for some reason the floor did seem to get very wet. Would be handy to have two bath mats for the spa bath and shower maybe. We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice. We ate in the onsite restaurant Basalt and were able to use our Accor Plus dining discounts which was appreciated. Glen was extremely welcoming in the restaurant. After check out we were able to leave our car in the car park and enjoyed a wonderful walk along the beach. Really fascinating with all the basalt rock formations. Thank you to all the team who made our stay so pleasant.

First up have to talk about the location! couldn’t be any better! right across from one of the nicest beaches in Bunbury, and walking distance to attractions and town. The rooms generally all have a wonderful view of the beach, sunset and the Lighthouse. (However, if you are chasing the view, make sure you stipulate that when you book)
Importantly, Beds…even my grumpy old partner found the bed very comfortable, not too firm not too soft!
Couldn’t fault the room for its cleanliness and fresh linen.
Booking process was smooth with clear instructions given on how best to park the car with easy access to our room.
I also found the value for your money was better than alternate accommodation. Enjoyed it so much we’re planning on going back before summer is over :)
