Detailed Reviews
Spacious rooms with relatively recently refurbished bathrooms. This motel is not a holiday destination but is well priced and suited us once we understood the nature of the place. It is located on a busy road and the noise can penetrate the walls and windows. It looks like workers use the motel (the clues being that breakfast starts at 3:30am and finishes about 8am with an early start and finish to the evening meals) and therefore there can be some noise from residents moving about early in the morning.
There is a fine cafe next door that caters for those of us that sleep in.
We would stay again.

The food served in the dining room is fantastic! I stay at "The Admiral" (Comfort Inn, Bunbury) often - at least five nights a year at different times. Service is always great; rooms immaculate; staff very friendly, hospitable and obliging. No complaints from me! I highly recommend it.

When we booked our accommodation at this resort initially we were concerned that the outward appearance of the place from its website photos did not generate great expectations. When we arrived and found the car park full of commercial vehicles (utes with company logos) we were even more apprehensive. How wrong we were! Once in reception, the service was efficient and cheerful. We were directed to our unit and found a neat and spacious, clean room with all we expected. Generous tea and coffee were accompanied by a full set of cutlery and crockery, toaster, kettle and fridge. Inside the fridge we found a carton of milk that scored more points. As we have said in previous reviews, the general absence of microwaves in “kitchenettes” is a blemish in our view. There was a desk with a separate standing lamp and free Wi-Fi, albeit a little slow. Outside, on the opposite side of the room to the car park, was a private patio with chairs and a table, fully walled-in and private.
The bathroom was very acceptable and offered two sets of guest supplies. The towels were slightly larger than others we have had at similar establishments, but still fell short of bath sheets.
Having unpacked lightly, since this was just an overnight stop on the way to Margaret River, we headed out to the nearest shopping centre and discovered the Bunbury Forum close by. It offers over 60 specialty stores, banks, IGA, Woolworths and Big W. We easily stocked up for our next destination and, after reading the plentiful marketing material back at the Comfort Inn, were truly sorry we had not planned to spend more time in the area.
On the way out we called in at Condello’s (26 Hudson Road) and found that their advertised claim of the best liquor prices in town was more than justified. We then meandered slowly south via Capel and Busselton – the latter definitely worth a stop to see the 1.8km jetty and beaches – on our journey to Margaret River. In the words of the Terminator, “We’ll be back”.

The room smellt really bad. Like someone had overdone it on the mothballs. The bed was comfortable enough but the motel was quite old and run down in all. It was clean, but not what I'd call nice
Breakfast was not included in the price of the motel, which was a bit of ripoff, so we didn't bother. Somehow I don't think we missed out on much!

+1
we stayed in comfort inn for one night only. the room was clean and spacious. front counter stuff was very friendly and informative.
after i read the reviews for comfort inn, i was not expecting much from them. but when i walked in to my room, the room was very well presented (see photos). the toilet was a bit dated, but clean and well maintained.
it was a little bit more expensive than some of the other motels, but it was worth it.
highly recommended.

Our family of 2 adults 2 kiddies stayed at this hotel over New Years. Oh my goodness what a dive!
The room was very bland and whomever decided that ONE travel sized bottle of shampoo for a family of 4 was out of their mind.
Restaurant was not in service as it was over new years and you have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast.
It's in a really not so special area of town.
I would avoid in future.

I stayed here for work for 3 nights and found the room to be basic but large and comfortable. Just what I required for my stay in Bunbury.
The surprise was how good the meals were in the restaurant. Good hearty food, decent portions and great tasting.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I knew this was and old motel - it was built when I was a boy growing up in Bunbury so I was very sceptical when it was suggested by a business associate that I stay there. But I jumped on their website and noted rooms had been updated and they didn't look too bad. WRONG - well at least the one I got was not! As I climbed up the steep external concrete stairs in the rain and walked along a narrow external balcony I got an uneasy feeling in my stomach. When I opened the door my worst fears were realsied, it was like walking into a time capsule. The room smelled like an old people's home and the furniture looked like it had been assembled from stuff they had found on a verge collection. It was so cold in there I looked for the heater and eventually (after reading the obligatory mock leather-bound room manual) found a switch on one of those old panels with knobs and buttons on the wall next to the bed. To say what happened next frightened heck out of me would be an understatement - the wall shook as the old through-the-wall room air conditioner fired up and it was so noisy there is no way I could have slept with it running. So I turned it back off promptly and listened to the noise of the cars wizzing by on the major road outside my window. At least there was a street light right outside the window that shone a bit more light in than the inadequate lighting in the room. But when I tried to close the curtains to block it out I found they didn't even meet in the middle and whatever I did there was a still a big gap that let light stream in. I flopped on the bed exhausted and thought about ordering room service. The standard of the room got me thinking about the possible standard of the kitchen and as the springs creaked and snapped under me and stuck into my back I decided to get out quick before I was perhaps attacked by something that may have survived living in here. Maybe I'm being too harsh and maybe my expectations are too high, but I picked up my bag, checked out and went to a newer se of serviced apartments where for $20 a night more I had a self contained studio apartment with all the mod cons. Never again Admiral Comfort Inn Bunbury! I will leave it to the workers who packed out the place obviously because their employers got a way better deal than I did.

Good competent place. Staff were friendly and room was clean and well maintained.
The restuarant did good food and the staff were obliging. Would recommend this for business stays. Nothing spectacular but good value for the price

Booked a weekend away in a supreme queen room, when we arrived I asked if the room was at the front of the complex on the main road, which it was so we were offered a different room and 2 continental breakfasts to cover the different in cost.
1st room we were sent to wasnt made up, 2nd room next door was made up but that was the best part. Out dated furniture that even grandma would reject. Tv that the volume button on the remote that didn't work was the 1st issue, tv made a high pitch screaming sound on certain channels was only dronned out by the fridge which rattled and banged so bad that we turned it off. Bed was clean but you sunk into a hole and the shower taps banged if you tried to turn down the boiling hot water. Listening to the floor above using the toilet and taking a shower was the icing on the cake.
We didn't bother with our free breakfast after speaking to the receptionist about all the issues we left. $145.00 for the night was definetly not well spent.
