Location was very central and close to the shopping centre. The booking included breakfast which was a bonus and the meals in the bistro were reasonably priced. Staff were great. Our room was part of a hotel complex but not above the bar area so the noise from the bar on Friday and Saturday night wasn't too bad. Didn't go all night and with the TV on, the sound was muffled so didn't bother us. Access to the room was up two sets of stairs - not the best for those with mobility issues or those lugging heavy suitcases. Fresh linen supplied each day and a decent amount of tea/coffee were supplied.
No facewasher or hairdryer were provided
Laundry facilities are upstairs. No instructions provided on how to use machines, amount required, or time it takes for dryer to operate, - a bit of guesswork required.

Stayed at The Prince of Wales for one night on Saturday 14th January 2023.
We had a most enjoyable stay.
The rooms are not modern but more than comfortable.
Super Clean.
Very spacious, super comfy bed and pillows.
Lovely hot shower.
Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate.
We were able to check in a bit earlier which was a bonus.
Staff were very friendly.
The room rate came with choice of breakfast, Full English, Bacon and Eggs or Continental.
The breakfast was great. You could help yourself to cereals and tea and coffee and orange juice.
If you want a central location at a reasonable price then I cant recommend it highly enough.
Even though there was a 21st Birthday Party in the upstairs function room on the night of our stay we were not disturbed by any noise.
We will be back.

20 members of our Golf Club had the pleasure of staying and dining at the Hotel .
I have stayed at many hotels over the years , and this hands down was the best experience I have had .
We had several "Out of the Ordinary" requests for dinner & breakfast , and the management and staff couldn't have been more accommodating .
Nothing was too difficult , which make our stay unbelievable .
They fed 20 hungry golfers unbelievably quickly and efficiently , with everyone raving about how good the meals were . 10/10 Guys . Can't wait to come back .

While attempting to park our car we were greeted by VERY intoxicated guests who were urinating at the pub entrance and vomiting - the room smelt awful when we arrived, door was unlocked and open, stains on the carpet, mould in the bathroom and hair/dirt in bed sheets.
No window at all, just a skylight which lit up the room by 5am. No TV just an antenna cable hanging from the wall.
The towels provided absolutely reeked of bleach, which says a lot about their cleaning routine….
The room we were given looked NOTHING like any pictures they advertise and we would never book a room that awful if we knew! It was like a concrete prison.

The same intoxicated group from the car park moved their party to the hall where they stayed for over an hour. Screaming, banging, running up and down etc. By 11pm we’d had enough and rang reception to complain (noting that part of the conditions to book this hotel are that noise is kept to minimum) our 2 year old son was terrified and hardly slept until 2am. Reception did nothing and the rowdy guests continued on at 5am.
Don’t bother with the breakfast, we had to ask 3 times for toast for our child, my husband actually went into the kitchen to ask AGAIN because staff were basically non-existent. The eggs were raw and inedible and beans were cold.
No water on offer to drink and the only juice available was only topped up as we were leaving.
The view at breakfast was watching the drinks and vomit get mopped up from the night before.

If you have children who can open doors, avoid this place! The doors have no deadlock or safety feature and our toddler easily opened the door. We had to use whatever we could find to barricade the door during the night.
We only stayed here because it was the only place in town with any vacancy when we needed to stay in Bunbury for a family emergency… now we know why!

Well appointed large rooms, comfortable bed. The rooms are well maintained even if slightly older, but felt a bit like a Retro stay which was good.
Cooked breakfast included in tariff. Staff offer excellent service. Could be called a home away from home.

Nice crisp, clean bed linen and towels.
Room neat, clean and tidy. Awesome TV for room, often such accommodation types have a very small TV which watching from the bed often the only seating available can be awkward.
Bathroom appeared to have been renovated at some and in good condition.
Carpet appear clean didn't mind walking bare feet.
Dinner in Bistro was lovely, we enjoyed our meal and service was prompt and great.
Breaky in the pub area next morning was great too. Offered full cooked breaky or continental (3 cereals with milk on offer in Tupperware containers) no additional bread to toaster or toaster available.
Parking right behind the accommodation/pub.
Separate entry to accommodation than the pub, at rear up galvanized stair way.
The microwave oven was not in the room, in the hallway for all residents to use.
Bathroom - no room surrounding sink to place toiletries/toiletry bag, or shelf, which it could do with.
Lack of power points by bed and bedside tables - 1 bedside table far side of single bed and 1 between single bed and queen bed as was a double power socket. Hubby and I swapped bed sides for the night, I sleep with a CPAP machine and need a bedside table and power point, couldnt even place it on the floor on right side, and plug in, no power point that side.
No complementary mini bottles of shampoo/condition/body wash.
No complementary box of tissues in room.
Only 1 bottle of cold water in fridge when room sleeps 3.
Foxtel available but only sports channels.
No discount in pub/bistro to accommodation guests.

Parking: instructions on/by the pay meter a little vague. Accommodation guests parking is free, go in to Reception and collect a parking pass for dash. If you pay first as we did ($4 p/h or part there of) take 2nd ticket issued (1 for dash and 1 to redeem in pub/bistro) with you.

Our room was part of a hotel complex but not above the bar area so the noise was only minor. Access to the room was up two sets of stairs so not the best for those with mobility issues. Our booking included breakfast which was a good factor and the food in their bistro was delicious. The location was very central and there was complementary parking. The staff were very nice.

Travelling with two teenage girls. If you look through the photos people have posted, we stayed in the room with the big water stain on the ceiling, and the bedside table with scratches all over it, Room 15.

Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Mattresses on the two single beds seemed to be leaning at a strange angle. No windows in the room at all, but at least had a skylight for some natural daylight. Paint peeling in places.

I've stayed in some 'interesting' places, including very cheap places in Europe and around the South Island of NZ, in towns which only have one small B&B. This would probably be in my bottom 5 least attractive rooms I've ever stayed in (not including backpackers, which is a whole other category).

Having said all that, it was cheap, we were only there for one night, so didn't spend much time in our room, the staff were friendly and polite, breakfast was included, and it's a good experience for my girls to learn there's more to life than 5-star hotels... so it did the job.

I think I got the last room in the hotel and possibly the last room in Bunbury, so I was thankful for that.
However, the room was not worth $175.00
No window
Stained ceiling from water leaks
Worn furniture
Pigeons scratching at the skylight
Hallway door banging closed all night long
Supply and demand has caused the price hike but $175 for this is disgusting.

On the upside there is free parking, the bathroom was clean and the staff were wonderful.

My husband and I have been staying at various accomodation venues around Bunbury where we live so we have an idea of where to send guests who visit Bunbury. We spent one night at The Prince of Wales Hotel and I was expecting a pub to be noisy but I was pleasantly surprised. At least on a Monday night. The decor and beautiful old building was the saving grace for this iconic Hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated, pillow top mattress, shower had great water pressure. Teacups! For the tea drinkers and hot chocolate. Customer service on checking In..terrible leaving me waiting while she chatted to drinkers at the bar then asked me ‘ya right?’ We had a meal In the restaurant which was dry and barely edible.Salad bar a good idea but not a good variety and all drenched in mayo. Breakfast in a deserted dark bar (no lights) with a few non English speaking staff shouting out ‘did we want toaasst?’ Continental Breakfast was cereal, toast, marmalade, tea and coffee and O.J. No fruit or yoghurt which is what is normally included in a continental breakfast. No one at reception to take our key as we checked out so I gave it to a passing. Cleaner in the kitchen.
