With just a 2 minute walk to the the shops, restaurants and entertainment area, or a short drive from the beach, Flagstaff Hill and the breakwater. Accommodation varies to suit business, leisure or family travel. From hotel rooms with large corner spas to 2-bedroom and king studios, all units have air conditioning/heating, tea/coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs, internet access and free parking (no reservations required). There is also an outdoor BBQ area and guest laundry available. Rooms include a dining setting and a lounge with TV. Eight Spence is ideally located for exploring Warrnambool and the surrounding areas. Between June and early October each year, guests can take a short 10 minute drive to The Logans Beach Whale Viewing Platforms to see whales and their calves.

Eight Spence had very helpful staff, was centrally located so we could walk everywhere and the room was immaculately clean. Highly recommend. Parking was on site, WiFi was fine for our use and it was good value for money.

We recently had need of a hotel at short notice for compassionate reasons and was recommended Eight Spence. We were so happy with the super clean comfortable rooms. There was all the basics that we needed including microwave, toaster, and basic plates and cutlery so we could bring our own bfast provisions. It was also so nice and quiet considering how centrally located it was making falling asleep a breeze. Thank you for being available at our time of need. I would recommend this accommodation.

I had a great stay at Eight Spence. The room was modern, very clean and the bed was so comfy. Such a warm and friendly host. Thanks for staying up and making me feel safe to check in late night as a solo traveller. The room had microwave, kettle, plates and cutlery which made it easier to have a meal in after a long day of touring. A short walk to the theatre, restaurants. Very quiet surroundings. I wish I had more days to stay. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Stayed here on feb 15th and it was super comfortable! A quick drive to the main centre of town (or a longish walk). Quick check in and clean and well kept- everything a modern motel should be. Paid more for a spa room (which we didn’t end up using) HOWEVER if we had, it would have been great! We even booked on the day we arrived and although I don’t recommend it.... I totally recommend it. Great knowledge of the area, we had one of the best meals/dinner experiences of our lives at the place they recommended (Myrtle Bar- check it out). We will be returning on our next long weekend!

Run by a young couple, this motel is modern and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed two nights here. Our host was extremely helpful on check in, which in this time, is contactless. He showed us various spots around town and recommended places for breakfast and dinner. The room as a good size as was the bathroom. It was well appointed and provided tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed was very, very comfortable. To our surprise we had been upgraded to a king room which was very generous. Plenty of hot water, table and chairs plus another chair to relax in. The property has ample parking and, due to COVID, guests can choose to have housekeeping or not. If you choose not you can still have fresh towels on request. It is an easy walk to the Main Street where there are plenty of cafes to choose from. All in all, a most enjoyable stay. Thank you.

The 8 Spence Motel is located in a great location just a 10 minute walk to main town restaurants, shopping ect. The motel has good parking a nice little bbq area to have a few drinks and relax while enjoying the stay in Warrnambool. The motel rooms are spacious very clean and tidy, The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is very spacious and clean and Matt & Tamara are very welcoming and helpful with anything you need. Thanks guys for a wonderful two nights stay with our bike group from Mackay QLD. And we would come back again in a heart beat.

We stayed one night in this hotel for a road trip. We arrived pretty late and had to call earlier to arrange to pick up a key under the doormat :). So no, there is no 24-hour front desk, so watch out for the check-in times. The room was pretty small for Australian standards, and as it was chilly, we had to switch the AC on. However, the bathroom was pretty cold and not cosy at all. The location was ok as it is just off the main road in the town, but not straight on it, so it was pretty quiet. I would probably look for something else if I were ever in Warrnambool again.

The only downsides were that we didn’t get a ground floor room and had to get our luggage up stairs which wasn’t much fun.
Also, our room wasn’t that sound proof and we heard people coming and going, but it wasn’t too bad.

We stayed here for one night after driving Great Ocean Road. Our room was very nice and clean. Wi-Fi was good and there were free parking just outside the room
Our only complaint is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. It was like turning a propel plane on every time you turned on the light in the bathroom.

On arrival my partner commented how clean the outside windows were. Room 15 was freshly painted, very bright & very very clean. Both bed & pillows were lovely & soft with crisp clean sheets. Bathroom very basic but a decent size & very clean. We had l lovely bay window overlooking the City. I spend 5 months a year in hotel rooms so l can honestly say Eight Spencer is the cleanest hotel l've had the pleasure staying in. If your in the area this hotel offers the best value for money; l would definitely stay here again.
