Habitat is clean and pretty comfortable for a hostel. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The kitchen is cleaned at the end of the day everyday which is very good. We stayed in November 16 for a week, at the start of our WHV and the staff gave use useful info. It was clear that quite a...

I stayed for a week at Habitat and it was a nice change from the hostel I'd been staying in previously! Unfortunately in this day and age we rely on technology to book our flights etc, so plug sockets to charge your device end up becoming the bane of your life! The dorms are well laid out with a plug...

I must say I loved my stay in Habitat HQ. The room and the ensuite bathroom were really clean, towels provided. The location is also nice, I literally can't say anything bad about this place. I've had amazing good night sleep since the room (and my roommates) was very quiet during the night. Only one thing - the staff could...

Stayed for 3 nights and the experience couldn't have been better for a hostel. We stayed in a private room with en-suite on the 3rd floor. Clean and security doors to enter the floor door. Reasonable size air conditioned room for a hostel, clean, good size bathroom, safe, tea & coffee towels etc. Reception staff very helpful and sell prepared...

I stayed 2 months in Habitat, the staff is really nice and helpful, the location is great, the hostel itself is superclean. You can drink and buy alcohol in the main room & plenty of activities are offered during the week (free bbq, pubcrawl, trivia...) I stayed in a 10girls dorm with aircon just in front of a 10showers bathroom...

When I checked in they gave me a price for the whole stay (more than a month) and I asked if I could pay every week. They told me that was fine. They did something wrong so for the 3th. week they told me I had to pay more. When I told them they quoted me a price before they...

I had a great experience at Habitat. The staff was great! They were always eager to help, whether you were booking a tour, needing a cab, or just getting directions. There was different activities lined up each night. Great location, walking distance from the beach. Facilities were very clean. The 10 person dorm was a little cramped, but was fine...

This is by far THE BEST hostel i have EVER been to! Very good location in St Kilda. Just by a tram stop and a supermarket 200 m away and a short walk to all the bars, luna park and the beach. My girlfriend and I booked a double room for 2 nights and we wish we would have stayed...

When we arrived we were put in a 5 bed room all boys, whom had been staying there for a while which is never usually a problem however the room smelt horrific!! We aren't ones to complain but we had to move rooms as it was so bad!! Perhaps there should be a no shoes in room rule or something?...
