Good location, but a bouncy elevator.. comfy beds. Easy access to St.Kilda Beach and Luna Park. Great cake shops at Acland street. Friendly staff. Good big breakfast served. Good Room service. Car park to be more spacious.

Great place to stay, but make sure your room isn't above the Restaurant, as the door to the outdoor area didn't stop slamming when people were walking in and out to the court yard.. I would stay here again just different room.

Hi Tonytale73, We appreciate the time you have taken to review your Rydges St Kilda experience. Thank you for your feedback regarding the door to the court yard, we want every guest to have a peaceful stay and to have an interruption such as the door slamming, prevents this. Hopefully you still managed to get some rest. I appreciate your feedback with the door, our maintenance team have worked on a solution to ensure the door does not slam and will hopefully not disturb any of our guest anymore. I thank you for this feedback as we are always looking for ways to develop and improve our product. We are excited to have you and if you would like to contact the hotel prior to your next arrival, ask for Mitch and ill ensure your room is in a quiet space of our building. Kind Regards, Mitch Mclachlan General Manager

Stayed here due to an event 2 min walk away. The hotel was fully booked the night we stayed. Despite this, their main elevators were out of order and only one, very tiny and extremely slow, elevator was operational. Without a word of a lie, it was faster to slowly climb the stairs than use this lift, and we were on the third floor! Needles to say, the stairwell was somewhat crowded. Our room was next to the broken lifts and I'm pretty sure the walls were made from paper as we could hear every word of every conversation that took place in the lift foyer where people would meet before walking back down the corridor to use the stairs. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the curtains completely blocked the light. The shower recess was large but the shower itself lacked any water pressure. There was a rather large framed print on the wall that was bulging out of its frame as the glass had been removed from it. The TV remote didn't work - every time we tried to change the channel, it would turn off! There was no Wi-Fi, or if there was we could find no reference or password to it anywhere. If you have a fully booked hotel you need to make sure your lifts are working and ensure reception is adequately staffed.

Hi Jenikaph, Thank you for taking the time to share your candid feedback regarding your experience at Rydges St Kilda. Yes, I totally agree, its not ideal to have a fully booked hotel for the first time since COVID 19 and then to have one of your two lifts stop working. This was an obstacle our hotel and guest such as yourselves had to face. We do apologise for this action however this was out of our control. Contractors were on site everyday across the weekend working to get the lift back up and running, yet they still weren't able to fix the issue till days later. We do appreciate all the effort yourself and other guest went to by walking the stairs, thankfully we only have 4 stories to our hotel none the less, it is a damper on your experience and weekend. Since your comments regarding the room a full inspection has occurred and any issues have been addressed. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure our guest had a wonderful experience despite the obstacle's which arose. I can assure you this past experience has helped our team grown and as we start to welcome back more frequent leisure guest, i hope you choose to come stay with us and let our hotel rectify this past experience. Kind Regards, Mitch Mclachlan General Manager

The staff were polite and pleasant. The room was nice and clean. We stayed in the Premier Spa Suite, and it was nice for our one night stay. It does have an outdated, slightly musty feel and it's not like... fancy. But it was a good size and functional. We had a nice time.

Our bed was extremely comfortable aswell as the towels. The only issue was the stench of cigarettes in the hallway of our floor. It was sickening which ruined our stay abit. The front desk was lovely and helpful.
