Very happy with this accommodation. The location was close to where we needed to go the following day for a medical appointment. Added bonus of off street parking. We arrived late on a Sunday evening and our room key was easily accessible and our room easy to locate. Excellent value for price.

Very comfortable week. Apartment had good sized lounge/kitchen/fdiner. Reception staff helpful. Fridge/freezer replaced immediately when fridge failed. Washing machine and tumble dryer in shower room was very useful. In quiet part of town but walking distance to beach and town/shops and tram into Melbourne city. We didn’t use the pool but it is located in quiet garden at end of car park. Car park is secure. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

+1
Our 2 bedroom apartment (B6)faces a car park and looks directly into the unit block next door after I rang ahead requesting the opposite after reading reviews. Blinds and curtains have to be drawn all the time. No pool view/church view. Unit is dated at $250 + per night. All up $2000 for our stay. Cleanliness could be improved. The kichen utensils are very old. Only possitive, great location and staff have responded promptly by providing a coffee plunger, no coffee though. Very average.

Dear MAREFAMILY Thank you for your review. I’m sorry that, at least initially, your stay did not live up to your expectations. I understand that the issues you had have now been rectified and that you are enjoying your stay. I’m sorry you were disappointed with the view – we are surrounded by apartment buildings, and the availability of views is limited. Some studio apartments and our one bedroom executive apartments overlook the church, and a few one bedroom apartments overlook the pool. We do not advertise that any of our apartments come with a view. We normally receive great praise for cleanliness, but I understand that we fell short on this occasion, and the staff have since either cleaned or replaced all that needed rectifying, including providing you with a Nespresso coffee machine. Again, I’m sorry for your initial experience, but I’m pleased that you were happy with our response and follow-up. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit. Kind regards Luisa

We had a comfortable stay at Quest Bayside, enjoying the great location close to Fitzroy St and the beach. The apartment was very quiet, clean, the bed comfy and we loved the little balcony with a table and chairs. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved having the dryer available to freshen our own towels over the weekend stay. The bbq and pool area looked welcoming, though the weather wasn't suitable during this stay. Staff were welcoming and efficient. We will stay here again.

Good location, clean and spacious. Reception staff were helpful. Accommodation was expensive but Melbourne was very busy due to the Australian Open Tennis championship. Kitchen utensil were the cheapest that can be bought and not up to the standard of the rest of the accommodation.

Dear Brian M Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I’m pleased you had an enjoyable stay with us. Í’m sorry you were disappointed with the kitchen utensils. To confirm, we do buy commercial grade utensils from a supplier that stocks numerous businesses, including 5 star resorts. However, given your feedback it may be that some of the utensils in your apartment need replacing, and so our housekeeping team will be checking them all and replacing where necessary. Thank you again for your review. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Melbourne! Kind regards Luisa

I am generally incredibly picky when it comes to hotels and chose Quest St Kilda very reluctantly. I ended up choosing it only because it was down the street from where I had business to conduct and the price was right for a short stay. My reluctant choice turned out to be perfect. I absolutely loved this hotel!
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful...nothing is too much of a problem and nothing is too hard. Every single staff member I interacted with was incredibly nice and helpful and just pleasant to talk to.
The room was very large and comfortable, with one bedroom and a separate lounge and kitchen. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I was worried at first because the doors were quite heavy and closed loudly, but despite that and the fact that I was by the lifts, there was ZERO noise from outside which made for good sleep.
There are a number of good cafes/coffee shops around that are open until 3. After that you'll have to venture a little bit further for food as it's mostly business offices in the area. A very pleasant 20 minute walk through the park gets you to South Yarra, where you can find lots of restaurants and shops to choose from. Ubereats also delivers to the hotel, so there are options to make up for the fact that there is no room service.
I love visiting Melbourne and just wish that this hotel was in the CBD--I would stay here every single time if so. But if I ever have business to do that end of town again, there is no doubt that I will be returning. If you are looking for a hotel in the area, definitely book this one. I can't say enough wonderful things.

Since 2004 my wife and I have stayed in or lived short term in Quest accommodation across Australia, and Bayside has been one of the nicest and quietest experiences we’ve ever had!
Why? We stayed for a week in a 1 bedroom unit (C1) which had everything we needed including a spacious lounge, fully equipped kitchen, excellent housekeeping staff and attentive, responsive service from service desk staff, all for excellent value for money. Additionally we walked a mere 5-10 minutes down to either Fitzroy St or the Esplanade to catch a tram and a short distance down Acland St to food shop. Quest Bayside is located in a lovely quiet tree lined street, quite something in such a large bustling city. We’ll be back.

oops sorry for double posting
Depends who’s staying. It’s not far to walk to shops, restaurants and beach, though uphill return. The pool was open in November. Good kitchen if you don’t want to eat out all the time. Don’t know about kids though?
Hello Dianeb842
Thank you for your question. Yes, the pool will be open on 10 December. In fact, it will be open from tomorrow (1 December)!
Hi thenicholls
Thank you for your question. We often have specials running that include free WIFI and/or car parking when guests book direct. Winter is a great time to take advantage of these! We also have an internet terminal at reception that guests can use free of charge.
Unfortunately Trip Advisor won't let me post our email or web address, so please check the website for Quest St Kilda Bayside and send us an email, or call us on +61 3 9593 9500, so that we can let you know if we have that special running over the dates you're considering staying.
We hope to hear from you soon!
