My wife and I had a nice stay here a few weeks back. It is pretty centrally located and reasonably priced which are the redeeming features. The location and rooms definitely look nicer in the photos, the rooms whilst large and well appointed are very old and worn… dented fridges, damaged furniture, bedside lights that don’t work etc. it’s all perfectly liveable it’s just not what I expected from the photos. Staff were friendly but the place just needs some TLC. If you think this is a nicely restored boutique hotel you’ll be disappointed, but if you’re seeking conveniently located, reasonably priced accomodation with low expectations it will be perfectly suited.

Reasonable price.
It’s nice and quiet and i liked the aesthetic of it. We had a fridge breakdown but was solved quickly enough.
It really needed a deep clean.
I was happy to leave and move into a more comfortable hotel at the same prices.
If you can get a good deal then it’s worth it.
I felt I devalued myself settling for a cheaper space when there were others in better condition.
Good for an overnighter
I wouldn’t stay longer.
Nothing against the owners they are lovely but cleaning is important to me and I had to clean toilet and fridge myself .

This was a lovely apartment. Quiet and comfortable with everything we needed. The entry and walk up had me thinking 'oh dear have i made a mistake'... because of the wind there were leaves & debris scattered over the walkways and I was a bit nervous... but once I got to the room i saw it was quite lovely.

The street life is interesting... but didnt feel threatened or unsafe at any time. I would stay here again.

Booked this accommodation well in advance for a wedding over Australia Day weekend, only to get a call that due to "technical errors" our booking was cancelled and then that they were booked out. Must of overbooked but regardless, we had to book elsewhere on short notice which has cost a lot more than we had initially planned for. Be wary when booking.

We booked last minute using Wotif, which was fine as there was one room left. It was branded as a service apartment, but only 4 rooms.
When we arrived, we were ushered into what looked like a bedroom.. no reception or front desk, just a room with a bed, washing, spare furniture. We were sat at a tiny desk where we were to fill in paperwork, which included writing down our credit card details. And we were charged $200 deposit for a room that cost $130. The room was not at all what was advertised on Wotif. Mismatched, damaged furniture, cracked tiles in the bathroom, holes in pretty much every wall, and a packet of condoms under the bed.
One of the windows did not close.
The people above were heard late into the night and early morning, stomping around.
We were woken at 3am by someone screaming bloody murder out the front (not the hotel’s fault, but gives you an idea of the area).
WE DID RECEIVE OUR DEPOSIT BACK, three days after our stay, as assured by owner.

This terrible hotel management comes up with a lot of excuses that someone from their team made a "mistake" when it came to booking a hotel room for an event in Melbourne and decides to tell us that our room is no longer available after receiving the confirmation number and pin number. This happens only a few weeks before the event and now is needed to find other accommodation. We were looking forward to using accommodation so much that we had booked months in advance. They were happy to have our booking before they knew that this event was going on and they had decided to cancel our booking after they knew they could jack up the prices so they kicked us out. Please be careful with this sketchy hotel!

Please do NOT make the mistake of staying here! The images did not reflect the rooms, and ours stunk.
At the time of booking, I asked Alex (the host) where to park our vehicle and he told us to park directly out the front of the accommodation.
When we returned our car has been towed and our 7 year old son was in tears. We then had to pay for a taxi to retrieve our vehicle in addition to the towing fee, which totalled over $500. Despite many resolution requests the hosts declined to offer any form of compensation.
This stay completely spoiled our entire holiday, and we will never return and would warn others of staying here.

These apartments are located a short walk from the Main Street in st kilda which is full of cafes and bars,it is also only a 5 minute walk from the nearest tram station which is very useful because taxis can be quite expensive. The surrounding area can be daunting to explore due to the presence of 'ladies of the night' on most corners. But overall suitably located.

The room itself was very clean with plenty of towels and linen, the small kitchenette was extremely useful and came with a 4 ring hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. All utensils were provided also. The big bathroom was well kept at all times. Cleaning facilities were provided outside with a washer, dryer and clothesline which we found very good on our travels.

The lady staff member who we dealt with was very helpful and made us most welcome.

The only complaints I have are that on 1 or 2 occasions there were people shouting on the streets outside during the day, the tv was rather small and also the balcony was small and none to private
I would recommend this apartment to most people but especially backpackers and tourists( not sure how kid friendly this place is).

After a late night arrival we found the room smelt of mold due to a baby cot, a quick phone call to management solved the problem. We stayed the night and a full refund was given the next day. If it was not for the baby cot, the room would have been fine for 2 people. Overall the room was clean and tidy, nice warm shower and soft bed. Very close to night life, just down the street. Management was helpful and kind.

The location and self check in and out process was excellent.

However, the room smelt of mould and there was dirty underwear underneath the bed.

The rooms are NOT sound proof, so when our neighbour upstairs decided to have a party and play loud music until 5am, this significantly ruined our weekend getaway.

Unfortunately I think this place relies on having 'good' people staying at this 'good' self serviced apartment in St Kilda.
