Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a great place for our long weekend away. The rooms were spotless, it was within walking distance from everything we needed and the rooms were quiet and very dark at night. We had the best time there on the Saturday night when it was raining and we went down to the bar and eatery at happy hour. Donna at the bar made our night a lot of fun by making the best cocktails for us and providing the atmosphere with Christmas carols as we decided to stay an eat there as well. I can highly recommend her Splice Monsoon & Pina Colada's -she's a wizz! Special thanks to Donna for putting some extra fun into our weekend.

As the implies this is on the Esplanade at the far end with Aldi across the fence. Very convenient. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for two nights. It was very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine with drier in the corridor outside the door, big bathroom with huge shower. TV is huge, connected so YouTube watchable. Parking under the block. Other facilities can be found in their description, suffice to say we were very happy. One weakness was wifi signal which was sometimes intermittent.

We loved the Resort, the rooms were clean and tidy. Hubby loves a great size telly. We spent time in the indoor pool after long day walking chasing waterfalls in the near by area. Buchan area and Orbost. The history of the two Trestle Bridges. Shopping in town was easy with Woolies and Aldi.

The internet cuts out continuously and for hours at a time. The Spa is closed, they have not updated their website. We had a one bedroom apartment which was ok. Kitchen missing things like cookie sheet, cutting board , paper towels. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were good. I would not classify this property as a “Resort and Spa” The staff are very nice.

I was extremely happy with my short getaway. Had an email to do a precheck in, so on arrival was handed over my room key, receptionist was very friendly and pleasant. Good undercover parking, a lift up to our room. Room was spacious and clean, had a restaurant with happy hour (didn't actually go) good priced meals. Would defiantly stay again highly recommend.

The resort is conveniently located. Both the apartment and the car park felt secure, clean and spacious. We only stayed 1 night but looking at the facilities (eg heated pool), and the location, we will return to The Esplanade Resort.

Lakes Entrance is a wonderful place, too bad the same cannot be said of the Esplanade Resort & Spa. Our room was small, dirty, and the furniture was very old. The bed was also uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we did not try the pools and spa, so we cannot judge these additional amenities. The possibility of indoor parking is the only positive aspect to report.

This a large property in Lakes Entrance. The room was adequate but was a bit of a walk from the parking area to the elevator. The parking area was dark and made us uneasy about leaving our car there so we parked on the street. We only stayed one night. If I were going to be back in the area for a longer stay, I would probably opt to stay in a different property with more comfortable rooms and parking closer to the room. We weren't traveling with children, but there were nice amenities for the kiddos... pool, playground, etc.
