On one of my business trips to East Gippsland I decided to stay somewhere a bit out of the way - in the forest! The road in was well graded. I was greeted by Les and Darilyn who provided afternoon tea, good conversation and Les showed me round the rainforest restoration work on their property. Darilyn cooked a delicious dinner....

Great stay in the middle of the forest! The hosts are delightful! In the morning - check out the web cam for any wild sightings during the night! It is also not that far from lakes Entrance, so this is a great location to stay

A truly unique bed and breakfast experience. In purpose built accommodation. From Les's tour of the exotic plants in the garden to the wonderful Seafood platter prepared by Darilyn, this is an excellent bed and breakfast establishment. We would return or recommend Thank you Les and Darilyn for your superb hospitality.

After a day of mountain biking in a chilly May, walking into what is Goldsmith's in the Forest with wood fire blazing and scones, jam and cream plus tea on the table ready for my arrival, I knew my stay was going to be more than the initial one planned night! The accommodation sits surrounded by trees, birds, trails and...

There was driving rain and a thunderstorm when we travelled to Lakes Entrance. Darilyn and Les were in the forest waiting for us with big umbrellas . They helped with luggage and immediately we felt at home and comfortable. Rather than face the storm again to look for somewhere to eat, Darilyn at very short notice rustled up a lamb...

My husband booked this for the VIC long weekend last minute. We had no idea what to expect. Blown away by the accommodation, the service, the food and the surroundings. We enjoyed a fabulous country cooked brekky every morning, a picturesque view to wake up to and a relaxing spa in their secluded bush spa every evening after a hard...

You can tell when people love what they do. Les and Darilyn are fantastic hosts, the rooms, bathrooms and common areas are kept exceptionally well. Spa & sauna facilities couldn't have looked more welcoming to my wife and I who had arrived here after 2 days of cycling. Darilyn's food presentation and flavor combinations made us feel like we were...

Warm and welcoming hospitality. Delicious home cooking. 4 private en suite double bedrooms open onto a spacious and comfortable central living/dining hall with outside deck. Access via a well maintained gravel road - suitable for 2WD. The B&B accommodation is surrounded by forest, with lyrebirds and kookaburras calling outside the bedroom window, crimson rosellas perching on the railings, and echidnas...

After an incredibly stressful year, this was the perfect place to start our holiday. Les and Darilyn were the perfect hosts and the spa was wonderful. The walk through the rain forest surrounded by bird life was food for the soul. Just so sorry we only had one night. Anne and Greg
